  1. Improperly installing the texturepack (like patching Sphax) will cause it to crash 100% of the time, make sure to follow all instructions posted by the texture pack author when installing them. If you still have issues with the texture pack, you may want to contact the authors of the texture pack. Also, keep in mind that texture packs require additional RAM to be available. Meaning if you're only running the modpack on 1GB of RAM, you will unlikely be able to run a texture pack at all, whereas if you're assigning 3GB+ you shouldn't have any issues with a properly installed texture pack.
  2. If you wanted to go that route for shearing non-shearable mobs, you would want to make a system that took iron, made shears (cyclic assembler) then output them into the activator, using a comparator you can tell the cyclic assembler to stop producing that way it doesn't produce unnecessary amounts of shears (tho itll be limited naturally by inventory space of the hopper, activator and the 1 output slot of the assembler).
  3. redstone energy conduits, or any conduits, will connect to the output of the energy module, and that can be connected to a cell. the cell will not connect up to any gc machines directly without the use of a conduit or wire.
  4. Sadly there isn't a way, but the "true" message shows up from the smeltery last i checked, the "yeah..." im unsure of. and the absorption lines appear from a user logging on, tping to another location, status change, etc. Not sure of everything that makes that line appear. If you're worried about your logs being cluttered with non-sense, I'm sure theres a program out there that can remove lines of text from a file, following a certain RegEx.
  5. Also, keep in mind while the information presented about the /cofh killall command is correct from Loader's post, there are a lot of mobs that will not be touched by the command. These mobs include tropicraft mobs (most of them are left untouched). If there are multiple spider mothers in the tropicraft realm, and they happen to be active at some point, it is possible they spawned hundreds of spider eggs which can easily cap the mobs out quickly. The way to bypass this would be to use /cofh killall tropi and it should kill every tropicraft entity, however this will also remove the masks from tropicraft if they are placed in the world somewhere, so be careful about this if you know people are using them for decór. Generally entering in a specific mob after /cofh killall will kill the mobs, i will make note that the easter island head isn't found under any portion of its regular name, but EIH is its entity name, so /cofh killall EIH would need to be used for them specifically. Also, pixies don't seem to be touched by the command either, so /cofh killall pixie is necessary in the promised land.
  6. See my quote above, from the op. Your thread is the only one that doesn't pertain to a single mod or contraption at a time.
  7. Exactly why I didnt expand upon yours. Your title would be stupidly long and cumbersome. If you were really concerned about making what was in it, known to people, you would have made your title better or simply split them up. That and considering the rest are based around a direct copy/paste of their thread title or a slight modification of it in the event it doesn't really make sense (the shooting range topic for example had a reference to another thread of theirs that wasnt tutorial related)
  8. Your antivirus is probably to blame for this, and rebooting may not fix the issue depending on what your antivirus is and what types of protection it offers. from the sounds of it, your antivirus software has real-time scanning of files that are opened or touched by another application, and in this case is unable to close its handle on that particular file before the launcher attempts to delete it. Disabling your antivirus and trying again can be a method to see if the antivirus is for sure to blame, but this isn't a recommended long-term solution and an exception added to your antivirus would be a better bet.
  9. Not sure if this section permits posts like this but failure to delete files indicates something still has it open, this is often the case with antivirus or other security applications that scan files. Attempt to manually delete the file and windows should complain about failing to delete it because of some program (it should say which) has it still open. Once you know what still has it kept open, you can add an exception to the .minecraft folder so it wont have this issue again in the future. A reboot will usually temporarily fix this issue btw.
  10. I have noticed more and more tutorials cropping up on the forums lately, offered by various amounts of people in various amounts of quality. Some of these tutorials can actually be very helpful but it may be difficult to find some of these tutorials after a month or two where no one posts on them but their content hasn't changed, and this thread is meant to alleviate that issue as well as resolve the issue. The list will be by authors, alphabetized, for the time being until more tutorials are posted where categories by mod type, etc are better. CrazyRandomzZ: >how to get to Tropicraft Relm Tutorial >The Promise Lands Ancient Staff Tutorial >Storage system | item transport pipes >Advanced genetics tutorial N00b Friendly DoxNotch: >Shooting Range >Thermal Expansion >How To Build A Full-Auto Dye Farm! >My Tutorial On The Project Red Transport Pipes! 11. Would definitely be interested in playing it and thought about making a CTM for AotB myself. Some of the challenges I was thinking tho would be similar to the FTB pyramid map (forget name) where you had to construct certain things in order to unlock other stuff (back when Equivalent Exchange was still a thing, im sure those who came from FTB know of the map i'm trying to remember) - however that map doesnt feel like a proper CTM map with fleecy boxes and what have ya, but the challenges involved should perhaps grant access to an area that contains the wool. So, some possible challenge ideas (logistics of course are up to you on how a player achieves it, the order they do it in, etc): Construct an enhanced portal Construct a resonant strongbox Construct a resonant energy cell Gather one type of every stained sapling Gather each farmable item's seed (cotton, barley, wheat, etc) Gather one of each sapling type Produce 64 Invar ingots Produce 64 Electrum ingots Produce 64 Enderium ingots Gather one type of every gene Complete each gene (could be done instead of above) Construct a Statue of the Goddess Construct one of each block from Project Red Integration These challenges are obviously very cut-and-dry obvious on how to do it, however, how they would integrate into a CTM map could be done a million different ways. If you want some additional information about any of these challenges I suggested, let me know. I'll try expanding on them in some potential example methods to achieve it.
  12. I'm actually awaiting a video card, DanielUSA, that will permit me to be able to start recording. I can make a video of this tutorial when I receive the card and make sure it works and setup the recording software I have. @Bob - Unsure if the rancher will recognize it properly. It may just look for mobs by entity type (ie: itll look for mobs of type sheep) and not attempt to shear normally non-shearable mobs. I could see this being done this way actually as it would prevent unnecessary checks on mobs normally unshearable.
  13. You could use any means of killing off the mobs as long as it is toggleable via redstone and won't affect baby animals.
  14. They are safe to use, there is no issue with them, the issue comes into play with using it connected to thermal expansion stuff, where if theres more than a single connection, you will get infinite power and this type of bug causes the chunk corruption. I'm sure some googling regarding this issue on here would find you some more specific information about this bug (posted by Loader)
  15. Your crash report, Kootta, is identical to the one here: http://forums.technicpack.net/tracker/issue-2010-connectionarea-crashes-server/
  16. Opis might want to be given a shot as well for isolating issues. We recently installed it on the server I'm an admin on and discovered someone having 1,000+ openblock tanks causes stupids amounts of lag (communications between the openblock tanks it seems to be the source of this issue)
  17. Issues in the future should be posted on the tracker. The tracker link and guidelines available in my signature, but is also available at the top of this page. The bad login is related to your login session with minecraft itself that expired, run the launcher, log out (bottom right) and re-log in. If you continue to have issues, post on the tracker.
  18. I prefer /cofh tps as it is a bit more informative in the way its information is presented, compared to /forge tps. But that's a preference thing. There really is no reason for block lag with showing those numbers unless what Loader mentioned about your host throttling you without your knowledge. If the server itself was the problem in this particular case, those numbers would be much higher and a TPS below 20 would be seen. The only other option I can possibly think of for any types of lag that isn't server related is your connection to the server where packet loss is happening or simply bad connection. A Tracert (traceroute on mac) command issued to the server IP (minus port) would be able to shed some light on the network traffic and potentially where the issue may lay if the issue is indeed network related.
  19. animallove34as, they do have a distance limitation for the network to communicate with each other, they also are limited in terms of loaded chunks. If you really believe a working long-distance solution using project red pipes is a good idea, you really do like wasting time and resources (and i dont mean just items)
  20. Might want to post on the tracker where these types of issues were meant to go, and most likely receive help quicker. Link to the tracker and tracker guidelines are i my signature below.
  21. I agree Roversword, but for people who are too lazy or cant be arsed to figure out how to do that, idfix minus does it for them.
  22. After looking through that list on some of the more unknown or random items, theyre all available in-game. So specify which ones you mean, because I don't see any missing.
  23. Loader, the tropicraft spiders still cause a stupid amount of entities. Also, /cofh killall will not work on the tropicraft spider mobs, and /cofh killall spider will need to be used instead.
  24. the thermal expansion files are in /config/cofh/
  25. I'm running the modpack (albeit low FPS) on a lenovo laptop just fine. If the computer can run crysis 3 on high settings with 60FPS, you should be able to handle the modpack really well.
