sound only playing through internal speakers OS X 10.9.2
Kalbintion replied to troystachnik09's topic in Attack of the B-Team
To me, that sounds like an issue with a setting on your mac, but what this setting is or how about to fix it is beyond me, sorry. You will have to wait for someone else more knowledgeable about the mac os system. -
Sounds like it may be leftover from Mojang's april fools day joke, or you got a resource pack that is including these files.

The read/write IO can affect performance but this is usually unnoticeable. You can attempt to put it on another drive, but keep in mind that if you didn't explicitly set this up or know it is set up this way, it is most likely on the same physical drive and moving it won't show any difference if this is indeed the issue. (IE: While C: and D: are different "drives" they're not on different physical drives, but rather on separate partitions of the same physical drive)

No names of blocks at the top of the screen anymore

Just a heads up islands420, its a num pad, not numb pad (though that spelling variation makes it sound funny, at least to me). And while unrelated, thanks for telling me the Waila config key, for whatever reason I could not figure it out via the in-game controls screen (found out after this though that Waila doesn't have its own config section but rather is in the ALL section...weird) -

Is the headset plugged in or after the game is initially ran? If it is after the game is running, it will fail to change over as it is sending to the default before headset (internal speaker in this case). If it is before the game is ran, there may be some weirdness going on with Mac that I may not be able to assist with. I found a few articles via google related to audio settings on Mac that you can check out but my knowledge of Mac is limited. http://lifehacker.com/5933282/how-to-aggregate-and-use-multiple-audio-inputs-and-outputs-in-os-x/all http://www.lifehacker.com.au/2012/08/how-to-use-multiple-audio-inputs-and-outputs-in-mac-os-x/ -
Well the error presented is suggesting that the mod is incorrectly installed or that it is failing to initialize properly.

attack of the bteam Launcher Problems
Kalbintion replied to TheEmeraldSensei's topic in Attack of the B-Team
Forge running on snapshots is highly unlikely as Forge will most likely be (like any other mod related thing) one or two minecraft versions behind. Meaning, while you may have a proper set-up at some point for a mc1.6.4 (or 1.7 as forge updated to recently) does not mean it will work for updated minecraft versions. As for the forge installation, the installation of forge acts as a "new" minecraft jar, that is placed in the .minecraft/version/ folder, this is where the installer should set it to. Then after that, setting the profile to use the forge version would make it work (i might be leaving out a step or two, its been a while) through the vanilla minecraft launcher. After it has ran once, you should see the mods folder where the profile location is set to. -
The nameplates showing up is a vanilla Minecraft thing. Making it larger or smaller of a range seems like a server plugin that would do it. Unfortunately the MapWriter mod doesn't offer functionality in this way and the only other way I can think of doing this is using the Entity Detector. Though I suppose you could use a "hacky" method using the scoreboard and a command block(s) on a timer to update the scoreboard values showing their XYZ values, but this method I'm not entirely sure how it'd be done and it'd have to be something to look into if its even possible.

attack of the bteam Launcher Problems
Kalbintion replied to TheEmeraldSensei's topic in Attack of the B-Team
Actually Eye_Mine, creating a modpack is virtually as easy as that. Download forge for the minecraft version, install it (put those files into the minecraft.jar in older versions, otherwise it should act on its own if you use an installer) then simply plug the mods into the mods folder. Using another mod like IDFIx Minus will solve most ID conflicts and bam, you have a working* modpack * IDFix Minus doens't solve all id conflict issues. Also, just because it runs doesn't mean there isn't issues that cannot be resolved via config editing, but itd be on a mod basis on fixing any issues. -
Routed Interjection Pipes can be replaced with any pipe crafted from them as theyll act like a routed interjection pipe. Meaning a routed interface pipe would act the same way. The only thing that doesn't take the properties of the interface pipes is the normal pipe itself.

And once you're done with the villager, smelt them into even an additional 1/4th emerald!

Those were two different options to try. Open the existing world with MCEdit and re-save it. That was option 1. Other option is to create a world with the exact same name as the original.
-
for those interested in my testing of this, there is a lot of set-up time and i am not spending all day working on this particular testing. I will be posting a schematic from MCEdit though that contains my testing area if you are interested in doing it yourself. Edit: Here's the link to the schematic file.

czzarr, in this a crash report is unnecessary, same goes for a launcher log. The only time this issue would require either is if this issue continued on after being fixed. I already provided instructions here for two different potential fixes of the issue.

Please post issues on the tracker after reading the guidelines. Links in signature below. Someone (like myself) would be more willing to help you in the proper area.

The thing is though, that this shouldn't work with any Tinkers' Construct items, normal enchantments should have no effect on them at all regardless of how it is implemented unless strictly permitted by another value on the item stating that the enchantment should be there. If the mod author ever updates the mod while this modpack is around, it is possible that this may be fixed in a future version and no longer work making existing tconstruct items with illegal enchantments either break the game by crashing (unlikely but possible) or just cease to work
-
After performing my suggested test to see if it works, it does indeed work with Protection. It also seems to work with the following enchantments: Fire Protection Blast Protection Projectile Protection Thorns Feather Falling (Shoes only of course) Didn't test anything else.
-
Since I'm doing nothing but workn on the Hexxit wikia atm, i'll check to see if this works or not, and may test some other enchantments.

Best way to seek out inspiration?
Kalbintion replied to GenesisFlareon's topic in Attack of the B-Team
I usually create what I feel like creating, my inspiration is usually based on Medieval and Gothic constructs however, as I enjoy those eras more-so than anything else. I do however find that the Inspiration series done by Keralis is actually quite helpful in seeing new things to build, but those are for vanilla minecraft (with minimal worldediting) -
Here's a post i had on >another thread related to setting up a server: The instructions for finding the IP will be slightly different unless you intend on having it to be a local server only. Otherwise you will need to find your external IP.

See if the map opens with MCEdit, if it does, re-save it. If there is no level.dat, it may need to be regenerated through creating a new world with the exact same name (it'll pick up the previous files and should keep everything as it was)
-
The mod itself is setup to say it shouldn't. The best way to test if the enchantment is working is to test it unenchanted against a mob like a zombie, then test again with it enchanted and see if the damage is decreased at all. If it does decrease the damage done, itll work (unintentionally).
