  1. You don't have a klein star but are you using any EE items?
  2. You are either lying or incapable of using google. Searching "technic forestry removed" gives me first link into technic forestry wiki page that has yellow text why exactly it was removed.
  3. It's incompatible with any minecraft that is installed in a path that contains the string ".techniclauncer". And, yes, he is a douche for screwing with the end-users instead of talking to the mod pack authors directly.
  4. I've used Better Ore Distribution for a while but had to ditch it as it doesn't seem to work with Forge ores. The author was supposed to be working on it but I haven't heard anything about the progress for ages.
  5. Only reason I care about occult is that for me it's incredibly funny to see how stupid things people can believe in. I don't believe in supernatural things. I accept there are things science can't explain yet but vast majorty of the stuff people think to be supernatural are really very well known, just not for them. I also agree with Jay?, science is awesome. It's way more awesome to figure out why and how things work than to shrug and say "dunno". As for "dark side", several months ago I decided to look deeper into the teachings and doings of the mainstream religions. After two days of research I had to stop as I was getting really close to falling into deep depression. The horrific things I found hit me really hard and it took me several weeks to get over it.
  6. Well, once you understand how the stuff works on the small-scale a whole lot of things about macro world become intuitively understood :)
  7. What, no Elegant Universe? Though being heavily based on string theory it isn't too far from fiction Also, Alien Planet is an awesome little movie.
  8. There are some games like that on PC as well. In general I don't mind buying games "a piece at a time". Valve tried to do it with Half Life but kind of failed but having faster releases with somewhat less content and costing 20$ instead of $60 would make me quite happy. Had SC2 had three campaigns just as the original then selling them separately would have been OK in my book. Though them ending up delivering pretty big campaign for each faction isn't a bad thing either. Obviously all sorts of pay2win stuff + having to pay ludicrous prices for trivial stuff obviously is a big no-no. My guess is the main reason why publishers don't want to split game into smaller pieces is that they hope to lure enough suckers that would buy the game without them figuring out if it's worth the price. I've bought several AAA titles in past year only to throw them in corner after a few hours. Had they've been split up into episodes I wouldn't have got more than first one. Had they had demos I probably wouldn't have bought even the first episode.
  9. True but I wonder how many people realize that this thread has sexism for both sides here, not just towards women.
  10. Ignoring everything before 2005 should give something like that, yes. For reading I'd suggest pretty much everything from Asimov. I've read most of Robots and a bit of Foundation stuff and it's incredible. Especially if you have half a brain and can think along with the story. Ringworld, Diskworld and Rama are also pretty good, though from those I've only read the first books from each of the series. http://www.amazon.com/Universe-Nothing-There-Something-Rather/dp/145162445X]Universe from nothing: why is there something rather than nothing is THE source of information if you want to understand the latest and greatest discoveries of particle physics, cosmology and latest theories about how Universe came to be and how it has evolved and will evolve. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001FA0LY4/ref=kinw_myk_ro_title]Death from the skies. Discusses the many interesting ways how life could end on Earth/universe. For TV series I can suggest these: Afro Samurai Andromeda Bad Universe Big Bang Theory Defying Gravity Eureka Event Falling Skies Farscape Firefly Fringe Heroes House IT Crowd Jekyll Lexx Lone Gunmen Middleman Odyssey 5 Physics of the Impossible Sanctuary Sherlock Stargate SG1/Andromeda Startrek in all forms Torchwood Warehouse 13

    my quarry

Close all holes in the walls Fill it with lava using RP2 pumps.
  12. It's not as if US, UK and most other "western" countries are not moving in the same direction.
  13. Burning detonation fuse in fire at around 12.
  14. Be careful with what you wish for. it's well known that easiest way to become an atheist is to actually read the Bible and thinking along while doing so.
  15. It'll be dumbed down even worse than 4'th one was and is far from using the capabilities that PCs will have at the time of release due to having to make it work on ancient console hardware. TL:DR, it'll quite likely suck badly.
  16. Religion in all it's forms. It's basically a mental illness and I still can't understand why people suffering from the delusion are treated differently from other similar problems. Even worse, they are often thought being superior to non-believers. Seeing how many people are simply incapable of rational thinking and how they are often working in places with high responsibility makes me rather worried.
  17. I'm not sure why you care about it but seeing your replies in this thread it's pretty obvious you care quite a bit.
  18. Picked up civ5 a few days ago. To be honest I expected it to be worse than it is. It does lack quite a few things compared to Alpha Centauri but it's not a bad game on it's own.
  19. Generally nice idea but it got quite a bit harder to easily see what threads have new posts and where are the stickies. Though overall it's progressing in the right direction.
  20. If you go with HL1 then try some of the single-player mods/total conversions as well. I personally liked poke646 and they hunger 1-3 the most but there is a whole mountain of them out there. For "single player" quake 3 arena with bots is pretty nice as well. Lost a whole summer to that game about a decade ago.
  21. Depends what is in that cup. It also doesn't do you any good either.
  22. It's kind of funny in a sad way to remember that just around 5 days ago you wrote: On a positive side I'm happy for you for dumping that whiny girl but seeing how fast you got a new one makes me think it'll take you ages before you become mature enough to actually have a real relationship. Then again it could be that I'm just old. I mean 27 is, like, caveman. Using the sample base of a total of 3 people I can say it takes me an average of around 3 months from first getting to know about someone to arriving something similar to relationship and then up to 4 years to see if it actually works or not. Things are probably whole lot different today.
  23. 6 cores is obviously better than 4 but only when you compare CPUs with the same architecture. That 6-core AMD is unfortunately significantly slower than 4-core I5 or I7 even when you fully load all cores. In games that can't load all cores it'll be roughly at half the speed of Intel ones even though it has 50% more cores Though it is cheaper than i5/i7 CPUs. Also it's significantly hotter, thus nosier to keep cool and needing beefier PSU.
  24. That would have been good to know beforehand. Is that win7 OEM or retail? If it's the first then you can't use it. Also the point still remains that latter build is cheaper in any case.
  25. Umm, no. The GPU in my setup is considerably better than the one in OP. Also it has four times the HDD space and OS is included. For the OP-one you'd have to shell out around £100 for the OS alone and about 150 extra for the HDD and GPU upgrades. Upgrading the CPU in my setup to same one in OP would cost ~£125. I changed the HDD, RAM and GPU to similar to my setup (HDD in OP link is actually 5900rpm vs 7200 on mine) and the whole setup cost around £1016 in the OP's link but it still didn't have an OS.
