  1. I think the only reason BC is still in the pack is because of the quarry and to use the pipes in combination with Logistic pipes...
  2. your crash report insists, that you're missing the file ChickenChunks.cfg java.lang.RuntimeException: java.io.FileNotFoundException: C:UsersUserAppDataRoaming.technicmodpackstekkitmainconfigChickenChunks.cfg you can try to reset the modpack and try again... if that doesn't help, you could try to create an empty one and look if you get a different error then... edit: Also make sure that the file is written correct (case sensitive, on windows normally not a problem, but who knows...) edit2: a closer look at the error Caused by: java.io.FileNotFoundException: C:UsersUserAppDataRoaming.technicmodpackstekkitmainconfigChickenChunks.cfg (The requested operation cannot be performed on a file with a user-mapped section open) this could be caused by anything that exclusivly opens a file, e.g. some kind of antivirus... try to make an exclusion rule in your trend micro for this file or the whole folder
  3. The new Powersystem mainly features TE's RF system (with the exception of galacticraft whose machines are producing other kinds of power) but even galacticraft machines can receive Power through TE's conduits So use dynamos to generate RF as early game power production and later you can switch to bigreactors and in endgame you can actively cool these reactors and produce really a lot of power
  4. yeah, I never worry about power ^^ since you can build your first bigReactor without active cooling with basic materials, I count it as early-midgame... but you're right, powering everything with dynamos can be a pain if AE then wastes energy
  5. if you are already using tesseracts, you should be technically advanced enough to upgrade your me-network. I do it the following way: attach DeepStorageUnits (DSU) with ME-StorageBus (configure the bus so that only one Item is accepted, normally you do this for Items you expect in high numbers, e.g. cobble, sand, dirt, gravel) put your Tesseract directly above a ME-Interface, the interface counts as a valid Inventory for the tesseract and if not otherwise configured, can import 8 stacks of Items per tick... 1 DSU can hold 2B Items, so you don't have to worry about them and you can use all the trash later in game to create singularities or compressed cobble
  6. how do you burn in water/rain? if you use the cooling system deserts and even the nether are no problem... But admitted, you should stay clear of lava, even with the water tank you can't swim in it forever
  7. if you don't integrate the advanced solar panel and the kinetic servo, and if you're careful with the railgun, you won't burn in the overworld
  8. TE has some kind of tubes that can extract entire stacks of items you can wrench them to extraction mode and use some kind of redstone signal to activate them (or use a pneumatic servo and set the signal in the configuration of the pipe) My tip is, work your way into AE and setup a me-network, this handles items very well... the only downside of me-networks is, that it's not early game equip, more mid till endgame...
  9. am I happy that I got set up iptables on my linux router that handles all the connections and routings... so for me the connections are handled by the interfaces and directions (incoming and outgoing) and the routing is done by Dnatting some port to an internal IP and port... so I guess in your case its changing, as natting the same external port to different internal ips shouldn't be allowed...
  10. yep, enderium energy cell in inventory is preferred, but any other will work, too. If you have the Materials, you can use the force-fields to protect yourself, this will drain energy when hit, but offers the same protection as diamond plates with no additional weight. jetpack (tinkered to full) flight control (tinkered to 0 to get a creative like flight) and theres something in the pants that gets you additional runspeed don't forget the cooling system if you plan a trip to the nether, as your system doesn't cool down automatically there...
  11. do the speedport devices handle wireless and ethernet connections in the internal network on seperate interfaces? If not (and thats the normal case in most routers) Port Forwarding is not needed as these are still in the same broadcast-domain. Port Forwarding is just needed in case other users shall join the server over the Internet (WAN) as they can only reach the Wan IP of your router and you have to tell the router to reroute incoming requests to some destination in your internal network (DNAT). So there are still some informations missing to determine the exact topology Gomo is Using
  12. use a powersuit with lowest weigth, you can fly faster than the server can render/generate the chunks
  13. this is not accurate enough in most things... I think we just don't have enough information on the network topology to analyze this issue further... mac-addresses have nothing to do with routing in general as long as the clients are in the same broadcast domain. However, as I mensioned before, if you have more than one interface on your server (one for the wired, and one for the wireless connection) you surely also have 2 different ip-addresses to connect to (if not 2 different broadcast domains (seperated by a different network segment, you can calculate this using your subnet mask e.g. if you have a subnet mask of /24 (255.255.255.0) and one interface has an ip of 192.168.1.10 and the other interface has 192.168.2.10 they belong to different broadcast domains and can't communicate directly with each other, in that case, traffic has to be routed). If your Server is in the same network, wired to your wlan-router and you are connected by wireless and now the connection changed to wired through powerline for you, normally nothing should change for your connection to the server. Make sure you deactivate your wireless device, because in some cases it gets confused when communicating to the same broadcast domain... ^this in case the server is in the same network as your client... if your server was connected to the router via wireless, and is now connected by the powerline, it could have gotten a new ip due to the interface change... in that case, make sure you change any forwarding rules and the ip you connect to in the client
  14. are you able to ping your server? is your wireless connected to the same interface on your server? is there some kind of firewall active on the interface (serverside)?
  15. wasn't there a list of things you could do when you finished the technical part of the game, I remember there was one point where you should be under bedrock
  16. if you use hamachi, all ppl should already be in the same network, so no need for upnp or port forwarding... if the ip stays the same, your friends shouldn't have a problem joining your session. Just make a dedicated server out of your world (download the server and copy your world over) edit server.properties in the root folder of the server and give your friends the port number of your server. The server address should look something like Your Hamachi Address:Port 192.168.111.13:12345 Tip: Use a port number between 10000 and 65500 and make sure your windows firewall accepts incoming connections on that port.
  17. you can try to download the latest ICBM mod for mc 1.6.4 and drop it into the mods folder of your tekkit installation. You might have to resolve ID Conflicts... The creators of ICBM might have an installation guide
  18. normally you copy the files over and just start the server (if you have full access), like you would do on a remote server in your same network make sure ports are routed correctly and try to connect
  19. also screenshots would be helpful to diagnose the problem
  20. If you're playing over the internet, for option one and two, you have to make sure you route the ports correctly and your friends have the right ip-address
  21. it'll take the items into the export slots and I think there are 8 slots in there so that would be 8 stacks of items at once (unless some slots are blocked to exported items)
  22. you don't need the import bus, just put a interface next to the receiving tesseract in your base. Also these 4 1k drives will overflow really soon since theres much cobble in a quarry hole... I admit building some DeepStorageUnits and connecting them to your ME-Network using Storage buses. You can configure the Storage bus to take just a single item e.g. cobblestone. You'll still see all your cobble in the terminal, but it'll be stored in the DSU and that will save you space on your drives
  23. in the new version of tekkit you should be able to extract the deuterium as a liquid and pipe it directly into your fusion reactor, so no need to mass produce empty cells any longer
  24. logistic pipes could also work, had some luck in getting galacticraft machines working with a combination of LP and AE
  25. as far as I know, everything will carry over to another dimension if the mod is made to work over multiple dimensions, this includes endertanks, enderchest (even the vanilla one), tesseracts and the AE quantum gate... Players could also carry over Items manually by teleporting through the dimensions using DDors or mystcraft linking books... So if you want to seal the players to differnet worlds (PvP/PvE) the most secure way would be to setup a second instance of the server under a different Port ofc there are some downways this way e.g. they also have different chats...
