Crash during World loading and server loading screens
HeatHunter replied to gameking62mee's topic in Tekkit Discussion
I'm no expert but I wonder why Xmx is doubled in your flags with different settings... JVM Flags: 4 total; -XX:HeapDumpPath=MojangTricksIntelDriversForPerformance_javaw.exe_minecraft.exe.heapdump -Xmx12288m -XX:MaxPermSize=256m -Xmx512M -
as a tip, if you're connecting to a local server, you shouldn't use your public ip, as this could mean you are doing a roundtrip on your router (a cheap one could also have it's problems with routing that correctly) I recommend that you solve your local problem first, a ping > 200 is inacceptable for a local connection. (should be something around 5-10ms) so make sure you're connecting by your PC's ip, or the loopback IP (127.0.0.1) If your high ping persists, you should try to ping the interface in a command shell and see if the latency also shows there, then it could be caused by a misconfiguration of your OS or a piece of software running in the background.

how do you host the server and how do you connect to it? are you opening a SP game and open it for lan games or are you using the dedicated server? are you connecting by ip, or by name? Is the IP your local IP (you can look it up by executing "ipconfig" in a command shell) or are you connecting to your loopback-device (127.0.0.1)?

Tekkit trying to load world the stops responding.

could you please activate the launcher console (in the launcher settings where you change your ram size) and upload the result to pastebin? btw. how much ram did you allocate to java? -
1st thing you should solve is your own ping, sounds strange to me that you get 220 + ping when you are doing the server yourself... so you're not hosting on a dedicated machine in your network are you? Do you have any Firewall or active Anti-Virus running?

I think the most simple and compact Factory you can build is the ME Molecular Assembler Chamber (heres the entry in the AE Wiki: http://ae1.ae-mod.info/ME-Crafting/ ) you can put in patterns of the items you want to be able to built and you can order them through your access terminal then... be aware, it will take some materials to complete this but once there, you don't want to live without it
-
there is a third way to obtain Redstone Ore by using a MFR laser drill. As this consumes much power and materials to build, this way is a late game option. (but it should be mensioned to complete the list )
-
blow them up and see what happens

someone else mensioned a good method to automate the creation of mob essence: use a block placer and a block breaker, place any block that creates xp (e.g. ruby block) and break it using the block breaker, it will create an xp bubble. When you pace a MFR sewer below that, the sewer will convert the xp to mob essence... I did this on a large scale and it runs my automated spawners that way.

Did you try a ME-Network for distributing Materials?

^this at least in version 1.2.8e Tesseracts did not accept BC pipes you had to use itemducts, or put the tesseract directly above the quarry... I did not test the receiving end... Edit: @Dpierres I'm wondering that your setup works at all, also if Tesseracts work with BC Pipes, golden pipes should be kind of dumb and don't have a specified direction, as far as I understand it the items should be able to pop out at a quarry as this shouldn't be registereed as valid receiving end...

if you're just talking about single-player, you can also try to delete your player file, in that case, everything you placed in the overworld and the moon would persist. You'll start over with a fresh player on your world spawn... this might save you some time...
-
are you op on the server? Edit: also you might be able to find a DimensionalDoor and die inside the dimension, get to the limbo and teleport back, but I don't know if you come back to the overworld or spawn on the moon again this way...
-
you could use mystcraft linked books, but I haven't tried teleporting to the same dimension with it (even if that doesn't work, you could built something like a teleporter-Room in another dimension and teleport from there) also Dimensional Doors could work...

the advanced solar generator can produce a lot of heat (with a lot i mean it instantly killed 3 ppl on my server...) since i took it out of my helmet i don't have any heat-problems...

HeatHunter replied to MakeshiftSloth's topic in Tekkit Discussion
do you have any anti virus software running? adding the mincraft folder to the exceptions could help i heard -
I'm sorry, I totally missed it, it should be somewhere in the left box, so it's the same setup as allnets, just the other way around

I used some cronotypers to seperate them had 10 cows running around in a 3x3 field, then the cronotyper seperating the new born cows into a 3x4 box and a second cronotyper seperating the grown into a 3x3 pit with the grinders should look something like this: XXXX XXXXX XXTX X XGGGXGGGGXGGGX XGGGCGGGGCGGGX XGGGXGGGGXGGGX XXXX XXXXX XXXX X this is a top down view... X = Wall C = Cronotyper T = Grinder G = Grass walls should be at least 2 blocks high and don't use fences, otherwise they climb over it at the cronotyper...

all i get when I open the link you provided is "This paste has been removed!"... -
although once you power laser drills, you'll see, that diamonds are your least problem

Imho it's better to save the weight for batteries and just put an energy cell in your inventory (the enderium one will put your energy to 5M) the cells can be externally charged (sticked to an energy conduit) have no additional weight and just take 1 slot in your inventory...

I think during my tests it refused to construct the reactor when it was bigger than 32 blocks in any direction... better try this in creative bevore building it in survival
