  1. galacticraft can take power of the conduits (they are powered from a specific side) mffs uses it's own energy form (fortron) there are machines (Coercion Deriver) which can convert to that form and connect to the conduits so both mods are working fine with conduits
  2. is there actually a machine that doesn't connect to a conduit? (I mean the consumers, so the energy generating stuff doesn't count in) Edit: corrected a typo
  3. octuple compressed cobblestone is also quite expensive to make (43M cobble per block)
  4. edit launch.bat and look if it runs the right .jar file as described if not, change it and try again...
  5. did you know that you can copy existing structures using mffs? place down a mffs supporting infrastructure so you're able to generate a force field. Craft a custom module and right-click on one corner of the structure you want to copy (it tells you point 1 saved in chat) then right-click on the opposit point of the structure (it tells you point 2 saved) shift+right-click into the air (it tells you field structure saved) now you can use it to produce a force field with the exact same shape your structure has (you can preview it using the camoflage module) now place some chests next to your force field projector and put some needed materials in it (you can also use a me-interface and configure it to export these materials) use a field stabilizer module in your projector and it will use the materials to build the structure saved in the template... some things to mension: it can't copy all blocks (due to bugs) e.g. stairs are only placed the west direction, double slabs are not placed at all, no conduits, no tesseracts it ignores the direction on machines (e.g. laser drill prechargers) those machines have to be turned around using a crecent hammer afterwards.
  6. did you know, when you place down a redstone torch in front of a landmark, the landmark will display blue rays in any direction 64 blocks (the exact max size of a quarry) this makes setting up quarrys easier. Edit: good point, also I think the quarry will try to keep that 25chunks loaded and not the actual landmark
  7. the side doesn't matter btw. not sure about the bottom, but you can generally use any side to supply oil and power and pump the refined fuel out at any side... If you don't want to use a servo, you can also just supply the fluiduct with a redstone signal (you still have to switch it to extraction mode using the crescent hammer) in later game, once you have tesseracts, you can put the tesseract directly on top of your quarry and connect it using 2 conduits (at least hardened ones) the tesseract is counting as a valid inventory (as long as it has a receiving end) <-- this should be the easiest and fastest quarry setup
  8. in general, it works, but you have to make the wires by hand as it's not able to place conduits and tesseracts and ofc. you have to set the right steam in-output ports and the flow... (still better than building 25 big turbines by hand )
  9. removing it using mffs worked for me, but setting up a mffs just to remove a few blocks is kind of overkill ^^
  10. I think you can use a multimeter to read the saturation of the cables...
  11. if you want to store it in your AE-Network it could also work if you put down a ME-Transition Plane (facing up)
  12. can it be that the conduits itself can store a bit of energy? Did you try it with some more energy hungry equipment? (e.g. magma crucible or laser drill precharger?)
  13. the maximum steam a reactor can produce (no matter how big you build it) is 50b/t (50000mb/t)
  14. did you know that you can make mob-essence out of xp-bubbles using a MFR Sewer As MFR-Laser drills also yield ruby, peridot and saphire ore, this in combination with a block placer + block beaker can be built to an automated mob-essence farm...
  15. I built most of my turbines using mffs really handy to dublicate things beneth protecting your main base from griefers... galacticraft is fine if you want to built something in space (no pitch black rooms anymore)
  16. have 8 drills on my space station that are working just fine without bedrock... It maybe a bug and I have to relocate them one day, but I like the look of a laser targeting earth ^^
  17. this seems to be caused by Dimensional Doors, if you didn't built anything important inside a pocket dimension you should be able to delete the data of your dimensions and start the server again...
  18. the seed is "Wh4t4r3Th3seS3eds4" at the Coords x=0 z=0 y=-4 You'll find an endless nothing
  19. also use the 64bit version if you have a 64bit PC/OS
  20. is there any benefit of recycling the water in comparison to producing new water? (atm. I just have a void waterproove pipe connected to the outlet port on the turbine...)
  21. don't know, but I think that nothing in tekkit atm beats 8000mb/t water from a single block... btw. did someone try to hook up these transfer nodes to atesseract directly?
  22. as he seems to be able to play the normal minecraft, I think java is installed on his machine... the message he gets indicates that windows simply can't find the java-executable... 1st you have to locate your java installation (should be somewhere under your programs folder which by default is located at c:programs you can use the integrated explorer search from there 'java.exe') 2nd right click on launch.bat and click edit 3rd change the beginning of the line 'java -Xmx3G ...' to include the full path 'c:programs...java.exe -Xmx3G ...' (you'll have to edit the path to match your environment
  23. the sh-file is for linux OS it seems as if you don't have your java.exe in your path variable there are 2 ways to fix this - add the path to your java.exe to your OS path variable - edit the bat file and fill in the full path to your java.exe (<-- this might be the easier way)
  24. are there any reasons against the transfer nodes? (besides that the upgrades take a lot materials)
  25. you'll need 2 blutonium to create the turbine controller, so you'll have to setup the reprocessing anyways, but as Curunir said, you'll need all cyanite you can get in order to make your turbines. So reprocess only what you need
