  1. my tips for this loadout: the HE solar generator is known to make some troubles so I would salvage this. (especially in hot environments, e.g. deserts or the nether) I wouldn't use a battery at all (saves weight) instead a resonant energy cell will give you 5M for your suit and can easily be charged by your reactor. if you charge your cells externally, you also won't need the kinetic generator... This sould make you run around like crazy. Btw. does the radiation shielding work now? (last time I tried I nearly killed myself holding a bit yellowcake)
  2. did you tinker your flight control module? if you set this thing any higher than 0, then it reacts a bit strange... on 100%, it flies in the direction you look, at 0 percent it stays on the same level and you have to manually adjust your height
  3. nah, I just stored everything in dsu's connected to my AE network using storagebuses... you can use e.g. cobblestone to create singularities if you don't need it (or compress it) but to the OP question: the quarry just picks up everything! So hard to make a list, but you can look into the wiki for blocks... quarrys break blocks, so diamond ore will get diamonds and redstone ore will get redstone directly... the most common blocks/items are: cobblestone, sand, dirt, marble, gravel, flint, obsidian (if you flood your quarrys) these should definately go into a dsu then all ores that you can find in the overworld simplest solution for these: put them into AE Storage and create DSU's for them when you have set up a processing chain for them (pulverizer, redstone furnace)
  4. also check the total weight of your suit, if it is too heavy, the flight control can keep it in place, but flying forward and gaining height is a pain. Also it gets slower then... weight tip: don't use builtin batteries, just hold an energy cell in your inventory (must be charged)
  5. once you get cinnabar, enderium isn't your problem any longer (pulverising redstone ore) you can use this then to induction smelt ferrous and voila, shiny ingots
  6. this looks like it doesn't belong to tekkit, maybe it's tekkit classic related then you should post it in another section... for tekkit classic this should be right: http://forums.technicpack.net/forum/10-tekkit-classic-discussion/
  7. you have to login using your mojang account so make sure you have a regular minecraft account and it functions correctly
  8. built in an advanced solar panel and run through a desert for a few hours, we'll see then It's definatly a bug and maybe it's fixed in the newest build, but it built up several hundred ticks of heat in a single server tick... you just saw the red heat bar shooting out of the top of the monitor and instantly died due to overheating...
  9. maybe it's still too small... did you try a bigger one? maybe 40x40? or is the 10kRF/t enough to run it at full speed? (didn't built one myself)
  10. if you use tesseracts for transferring power, be aware of the 20% power loss... so if you connect a tesseract directly to the reactors power tab and the reactor is producing 11000RF/t the receiving tesseract should get 8800RF/t the tesseract can transfer limitless power while having te builtin loss... (but at least you can teleport your power then ) on the other hand, more than one connection should work. be aware that you will also need more than one connection on the receiving end. (you won't have to lay down seperate cables, it just depends on the connections on the reactor and the machine you want to power...)
  11. an active nether portal? ^^
  12. same functionality, different design and still a few bugs is delivered now by mffs (Modular Force Filed System) and the use of the custom module
  13. that could be a java related problem... you have to set the amount of ram when starting the server the server will never extend this value itself while running... for the server, you can edit the launch.bat or launch.sh (for linux) it is recommended to use at least 2G for tekkit
  14. you should also be able to provide materials using your me-network... combined with quantum bridges you can setup this system anywhere (even in space) and use mffs to build pretty large structures...
  15. my last post was mainly an answer to autocthon... for your fluid export bus, make sure the machine is configured correct, for te machines, theres a color code that you can configure per side in the machines configuration tab...
  16. another but more energy-consuming way is using a laser drill, it will generate ore blocks from beneth bedrock level... I know its endgame equip, but it fits here I think. So all you need is a stright path to bedrock and 20kRF/t to feed the laser prechargers better built a reactor for it
  17. did you know, that you can harvest cursed earth with the silk touch enchantment and use it somewhere else? It'll still spread on dark grass/dirt, even in other dimensions. you can use this behavior to produce it without risk on your space station (as no mobs spawn there) (I did not try to perform the ritual there) However, be careful where you use it, the spawnrate is quick, and it will hurt you when you step on it (it will be consumed in that case) also it burns in direct sunlight and converts to dirt if theres too much light around...
  18. if you want to use me autocrafting for complicated items I think that would not be possible (admitted, I did not try the new liquid crafting options that comes with extra cells) e.g. crafting a tesseract out of the raw materials, then you have to smelt a specific amount of ender pearls in a magma crucible and fill a tesseract frame with it, the full frame has to be crafted further... (interesting thing in that example would be crafting the filled Tesseract frame) so you have to provide Items to 2 different machines in one step... if you try that with the connections, the system will continusly produce the items and not only on demand when clicking in the teminal ui... otherwise proove me wrong and provide screens (would like to have a simplyfied version)
  19. might be a problem when it tries to form the field blocks in illegal space (below bedrock) you could try to put some Translation modules in the 'up' slot and see if it's forming correct then...
  20. I saw someone else using a seperate me-network for these requests, I think this is a very elegant solution When I remembered right the second network normally was completely empty and just the processing materials were dumped into it, the resulting items were then put into the main network...
  21. theres a sponge module for mffs that will drain all water and lava inside your force-field. so if you design your field large enough.... This will only work for water and lava, if you have to remove other liquids, you could try the invert-module... (did not test this myself) Be careful with mffs fields, they can kill you if you're in the way when they are forming
  22. the first and the last pic are the same would be interesting to see the actual force field configuration
  23. how far away from you is the force field emmitter? (is the chunk with it still loaded?) what shape are you using? can you post a pic of the emmitter configuration? normally a field of that size should make no problems... had similar problems with force fields in a size of 192 (sphere shape)
  24. maybe you can post the logfiles of the launcher, (or a copy of the console output after the crash) how much ram did you assign to tekkit? (if less than 2 GB set it to 2GB and try again) what Version of Java are you using? (also 32 or 64bit?) also theres a tracker for those Problems (follow the guidelines for posting to the tracker) (http://forums.technicpack.net/tracker/project-2-tekkit/)
