  1. you can pulverize uranium to yellow cace and process that in a furnace to yellorium. While Yellorium ingots are harmless, yellow cace will damage you while it is in your inventory. (actually it will poisen you and therefor lasts a bit longer even when you put it away in a chest) As I experienced, this also happens if you have full radiation shielding in your MPS... (maybe a bug) The only functioning defense against this is to wear the protective suit from the AS mod...
  2. does this also happen if you start a new single-player?
  3. did you try dimensional anchors? They are working just fine for me... (I always set the owner to the server, maybe thats why they are working for me)
  4. I used one transfer node per connected turbine and this worked just fine for at least 2 turbines using 2k mb/t and were giving ~13k RF/t each also the material costs for the transfer nodes are much cheaper especially in the beginning... but true, later in game tesseracts may be better to carry the steam around as you can put the turbines wherever you want that way (even into another dimension and use the same tesseract to get the power out) does anybody have run any tests on what happens when you run multiple turbine towers on the same frequency? (with tesseract)
  5. you might be able to get it from their project page here's a quick google search i did... EDIT: but the dependency to the new java version should be resolved when using tekkit 1.2.8d... (at least for ProjectRed) what do you need the new version for?
  6. did you uninstall the old version? Java is bit tricky when it comes to new versions... better uninstall it completely and start over with a fresh new java install
  7. you can also use the transfer nodes to transport the steam out of your reactor... (could save you some tesseracts ) have been running good tests with RRRRR RFFFR RFFFR RFFFR RRRRR (7*7*9 including case) with control rods pushed in 80% I could generate 4k mb/t steam at a fuel rate of 0.082 (just had 2 turbines attached so it will actually be more steam, have to test this further with a void pipe attached)
  8. try to use the normal supplier pipe and configure it to keep a stack inside your reactor port... personally I like the combination of AE and LP I mainly use AE as a storage solution e.g. hookung up an array of deepStorageUnits using storageBuses you can also hook up a provider pipe directly to your me-network, it'll see anything that's in your network then
  9. sounds strange, crafted 6 of those rockets with no problems also crafted a t2 rocket with 54 storage, also no problem so far... So it doesn't seem to be a general problem...
  10. this is caused by an old java version Caused by: java.lang.UnsupportedClassVersionError: codechicken/enderstorage/EnderStorage : Unsupported major.minor version 51.0 if you don't need enderStorage, ChickenChunks and WirelessRedstone, you can delete them in your mods-Folder and should be able to play 1.2.8d then
  11. same problem as I had: java.lang.UnsupportedClassVersionError: codechicken/enderstorage/EnderStorage : Unsupported major.minor version 51.0 if you're not able to update your java version, a solution could be to remove some mods which have dependencies to the new version: - EnderStorage - ChickenChunks - WirelessRedstone or keep playing 1.2.7 :/
  12. I don't have any Problems with MFFS atm, bit I didn't try any complex things with it so far (e.g. connecting some fields) just used it to protect my things on the moon... a friend of mine used it for building and it also worked fine for him... might be a bug especially in the manipulator, didn't used it so far...
  13. what do you use to connect this to your energy grid? are you using multiple connections to get the energy out (as one redstone conduit can only transport 10k RF/t) or do you use a tesseract directly?
  14. or you just use mystcraft to create oceans of any liquid ^^ (yes, it's like cheating, but who cares )
  15. If I remember right, Refined Iron was part of IC2 and was used to build IC2 machines... With IC2 gone, refined iron is also gone... maybe that's the reason... what were you trying to built?
  16. the most resistant block I know of is a force-field block from mffs you could build your home out of any material, make a blueprint and use the camo-module... but this would be a bit energy-inefficient I guess ^^ (could also be a problem if mffs cannot display the blocks correctly, e.g. doubled half-stones)
  17. and make sure you are using energy conduits to connect the machines... lowest tier would be leadstone energy conduit
  18. now enderStorage seems to make some trouble for me now... Caused by: java.lang.UnsupportedClassVersionError: codechicken/enderstorage/EnderStorage : Unsupported major.minor version 51.0 as we didn't built anything with ender Storage atm, I decided to delete that mod temporarly... found out that ChickenChunks and WirelessRedstone have similar problems... good thing is, I can load up our world with no probs by deleting that mods...
  19. as far as I know, theres a mod-folder in your tekkit installation folder. Feel free to add mods there as you like
  20. I Installed a patch without effect, but I don't know if it was the correct one ^^ in my early Linux days, I used to use LFS, but as they lack support of 64 bit bootloader in their book, I installed a quick and dirty version of suse (it's running since then ^^) I really don't know if they continued to support v11 as they are now at v13.1... Maybe it's just time to fully upgrade again... (this would be a good excuse at least ) EDIT: or I just try out the 1.2.8d Version of tekkit and save me the hassle for a few years xD
  21. any logs you can post?
  22. seems as if I'm forced to get a new version of my distri now -.-
  23. are they chunk loaded?
  24. are the files write protected? try the /save-all command and look if this gets you any errors... Edit: you might find the console useful for this (you can activate the console in the launcher)
  25. any advise on using non atomic science - steam2Energy methods? e.g. TE SteamTurbines (single block machine that accepts piped in steam) or steam dynamo (don't know if it still accepts piped in steam) I had some luck on setting up this in 1.2.7b but don't know how effective this is compared to the normal AS turbines...
