    Black haze

I'm tinkering with Hexxit now, so forgive me for the noobie question: What is a black haze?
  2. OP, if you give the link to the modpack, people might help you. Edit. You might wanna click on "increase Permgen size" on the launcher options
  3. 7 mins after you posted yours! I was looking at official Technic wiki for some answers, not too much about why those packs are what they are. Next bloody time I'm making a post, I'm gonna copy the text and refresh the page just to check nobody smarter made a better one than mine!
  4. First, please read the forums rules. Second, all modpacks made by Technic are both SSP and SMP. Due to how Mojang coded minecraft, there are no SSP~SMP ravine. They are both the same. Like Diablo 3. Third, Tekkit is the newest and hottest from the oven! If you want fully updated mods with almost up-to-date minecraft version, you want Tekkit! Tekkit Lite is... a bit tricky to explain. It involves something called Forgebukkit and its absence in here. Nothing to bother unless you intend to create a public server. Tekkit Classic is old. It stays on minecraft version 1.2.5. Again, something to do with Bukkit and Forgebukkit. Look up ^^ Use that if you wanna stay in nostalgia world. Edit. These !/%="(%#"" Ninjas....
  5. This sounds like a antivirus issue. Some AV's "assume" that you are downloading something nasty, and without giving you a warning, blocks the programs progress. Try disabling the antivirus or uninstalling it. You could also tell the antivirus to allow techniclauncher, I dont remember how to do that, google might help.
  6. Reinstall your java. Find out what Antivirus you have. Is your java 32 bit? It has to match same bits as your OS.
  7. What antivirus do you have?
  8. This is what jumps on me when I click that link. Gibberish. Try reading Luke's guide about modpacks. This part seems to be your problem:
  9. I've gotten this just recently, but I'm on a laptop Windows 7. My suggestion is to click on the launcher option, cog wheel button on top right corner, and check the "Increase Permgen size" and try tinkering with how much memory you want to allow MC to use. You can't give it the highest RAM usage (3GB) if your computer doesn't have that much to spend. Click on your computer and right-click and click on "Properties" on the computer window to find out how much RAM it has.
  10. That link is invalid. It tells me that the pack doesn't exist
  11. You know there are stickies, right? Edit. Gosh... these ninjas these days! Always pushing through the line!
  12. Try editing your post... you are giving a false report from the wrong pc.
  13. There is 3 mod lists, the first that you probably mean, on the MC window. The second is here. Third is the wiki.
  14. Link? All I could find was Alblaka's old release for MC 1.4.5 on his forum. And that was december 13th 2012 Scratch that, I didn't look up. Guess RichardG been busy... The mod is still the same though, just an added boat.
  15. So you thought that adding a single colon with a big P would suffice for a post? You need to start reading the Rules and be thankful that the moderators are nice with you so far... Edit. You seem to be confusing me for Technic staff. I'm not part of the staff. I'm just a regular who tries to stay away from the pink colouring

    Weird Crash

Did you forget the Edit button again?
  17. I hope this wont be looked as shameful bumping. I wish the community could give me some feedback on reactor designs. Firstly, I would find it distasteful if you simply put a machine block on the ground, add redstone and voila! You're done! No I believe that people, if there are any ff7-nerds out there, would really want to build an actual reactor. Not just plunk a single machine, but several! The first design I had in mind is inspired by IC2 water generators so, the redstone block represents the reactor. And the iron blocks some form of "booster" that strenghtens and speeds the production of power generation and chunk corruption. People could just build a simple cobble tower wall around this and pretend it's a reactor, no? Second and third designs are inspired from mDiyo's Tconstruct and Covert's Railcraft. Namely multiblock-structures. This image is somewhat of a mix from the first design. Redstone again being the "reactor" with booster connecting it and some form of reactor containing blocks covering the structure. Players could build this to a certain height limit. The higher, the stronger This last one is exactly what Tconstruct is made of. Controller, lava tank and so on... I'm not sure if I would want a structure containing actual liquid (lifestream). Maybe just a sparkly sprinkly greenlike effect that tells the reactor is filled with mako energy? Any feedback or ideas are welcomed! This is still a request. I don't have any code lying around, I'm just pingponging ideas in my head and digesting modding tutorials. I know what I want the mod to do. I just don't know how it should look like.
  18. Her nose and cheeks seems so blue. Is she having a cold?
  19. You must click on the big button above that says: Submit a Bug report
  20. There is no 1.6.2 for the launcher yet. You will have to wait 'til the team updates it.
  21. What is exactly the problem?
  22. You know where to find the reply button, right? At the far left corner at the same bottom line of your post is "your name, Today at time:time PM/AM "(this will change to the date the post was made after a few days passes), right next to that is the words: Edit Report The word Edit is the one you click on to add/change text on your post. You can't delete your post. You CAN delete the text within your post, however that is just silly and might awake the attention of the forum mods if they believe you did something naughty and try to cover it up. If the Edit button doesn't work right away then click on "More Options". As for: They have... Did you not see the Mandatory Reading section?
  23. Thanks for the link. Before you make anymore posts, please read this on the Rules:
  24. You mean the game crashes? Or does the game window just close without warning? In any case, there should be a log that tells the problem. Post the forgemodLoader in pastebin.com and give the link, so someone can see if the problem lies there. What do you expect them to do if you have truly tried everything? Technic can't exactly do home visits to fix your stuff. And so far you are the only one that has this problem, so it's probably an error in your part, not Technic's. Hexxit is a modpack, not a mod.
