Type "upside down" on the search bar on this forum and look for an answer yourself. The one I found was the closest I could find. I think the problem lies between Mac's and Java, so don't go blaming Technic. There are some youtube videos that people have made, maybe you can find your luck there.

This has nothing to do with managing custom modpacks. Server Op Swap Shop is closer to your answer.

That's not a launcher-related problem. If you or your bro went past the Mojang logo then the launcher did its job. Look at which modpack your brother is using (Hexxit, Technic, Tekkit Lite etc...) and post a bug report there. If your brother is using a custom made modpack (one not made by the Technic team) then ask advice from the modpack maker. I would suggest looking through the Common problems-sticky threads, they might help.

Both of you know there is a modpack guide, right? It has Common problems and fixes All you need is to click and read

Forget Minecraft, get Skyrim and play it on highest resolution with shadows and reflection and everything! 5GB is too much, I don't think any technic modpack performs faster/have any noticeable effect, whether you have 6GB ram or higher. 1GB or 3 tops is where you should find your balance.

I want a reactor where I can make all grassy dirt blocks-chunks corrupted, which would generate energy that I can use to create orbs to utilize magic with. I would also want summoning orbs that would summon powerful mobs to aid me. I desire nothing more than that, thanks.

Beside finding those mods you want that is updated? Technic Launcher doesn't support 1.6 yet. I spoke too soon.

Never been to america, so I can only give ideas based off movies. How about a spaghetti crossroad? You could make pathways going criss-cross to any destination. Lighthouse, harbour, another village etc etc

A little birdie told me that CovertJaguar actually sued AMCO and Something Awful's Plus++ pack for adding his mod without permission. There's no such thing as "not allowed to sue". People will sue for the most ridiculous things ever. The REAL question is: Can they win the case? No, they can't But they can definitly sue anyone to their hearts desire. For their sake, they better not get judge Judy on their case...

Please read the forum's rules and stop spamming, you wont receive help faster by copy pasting the same post over and over. Look over the Bug Section and find the appropiate section (tekkit, Tekkit Lite, Hexxit) that fits your problem and make a proper bug report there.

If compats?? You mean if compatible? You "made" the modpack but don't know if that mod is compatible... HAH! Only good thing with that list is the mods I've never heard of before always liked checking new mods. Who knows if there is a rough diamond somewhere...

Do you own a premium copy of Minecraft? The one that you had to pay for from Mojang. Cracked versions don't work.

It used to work? Try changing your username to your email - Mojang Support Centre will tell you how. Look for the "Mojang accounts" and "Migrating from Minecraft to Mojang".

Did you double click on the "add modpack section"? A pop-up window should appear, asking for a technic platform URL.

Please use search. There are 5-10 threads about this issue on almost every section. Mojang is having problems, nothing Technic can do. Check this site when they are up again.

What? That page is only relevant if your account name has the letters åäö or similar non-english letters. This has nothing to do with your problem, unless your telling me you got the launcher to work, like this Try deleting the .technic file on %appdata%. If you click on the launcher this time, it will force download the necessary files again

Just so we are on the same page here, the Launcher looks like this on your desktop, correct? Try rightclicking on it and choose "Run as admin".

Try clicking on the edit button if you need to put more info on your post. This forum frowns on double posting, try avoiding that. Did you click on the launcher icon that is on the desktop? What happens then?

woops, I misread your post there! My bad! You did the right thing, but you need to specify the "nothings happening"-part. Did you click the launcher-icon? Where is the Launcher right now, desktop?

Mojang's login servers are down. A few can get in, most can't.

Did you try reading the Common Problems sticky?
