  10. Let me answer all your questions. Yes and no. Depends who is asking who to make one and what type it is. OP didn't specify the need for a server. If this will change there are 2 client side mods (JourneyMap and ArmosrStatusHUD) to delete and you have a server. 1.7.10 ofc. Default answer. Some parts of the community call it "Vanilla Forge". Let's call it Forge type server. OS independent however the preferred CPU architecture is x64. For almost all questions regarding modpack creation there's some kind of a default answer. The easiest route. Example: java version 1.7 or 1.8? Answer: both.

The general trend in modpack making is to have only one way to gather resources. modpacks with standard terrain generation - ores from underground - mining (by hand, BC quarry, Mek Digital Miner, ExU Ender Quarry, frame mods etc.) modpacks with limited or without terrain generation (skyblock) - other ways (MFR Laser Drill, ExNihilio sieves, Magical Crops farming, Fluxed Crystals farming etc.)
