68: If invulnerability is what you want, Nano armour is dirt cheap. 69: MW:O has the momentum of the Titanic, and I like MW:LL as it is the best representation in video game form of BattleTech as a whole, not just the giant stompy robots. 70: Without breaking Hawken's very strict NDA, it is in no way a MechWarrior clone, it plays very differently. 72: Reinforced Stone is great, but once you place it, it's a pain in the ass to remove. 73: JohnSmith Technician's Remix is about a bajillion times better than the Sphax that you see everyone using these days. 74: It costs money to print the word "FREE!" in big letters, so they're expecting to make a lot of money from you. 75: You never realise how much Ender Storage did for you until your server admin removes it. :(

I carve my houses out of volcanoes, Bond-villain-style. Start with a spiral staircase. (mine are 2-wide, and use half slabs, so one doesn't lose their sprint running on them) Then, at corners, dig a 2 wide and 2 deep tunnel, and dig your rooms. Most of them will break through the outside of the volcano, so finish up where the walls would have been with glass. Then, at the top, build a balcony, (I use a pattern with basalt cobble and normal cobble) glass panes all around, and a glass roof. I'll get you some screenies at some point.

By using a cracked Technic launcher? *gasp* or possibly his mouse, one can never tell with these things.

57: Fine, but you're telling me you can't handle the hex. 58: No, but I wish... 59: Nuclear Reactors can be turned off by redstone, but they don't like Red Alloy Wire. 60: This is just so I have more tips than ^that guy. 61: Mechwarrior Online is not where it's at. Try Living Legends.

Wait for RedPower pr6; Eloraam added the equivalent of Logistics Pipes into RP2. For now, though, to control item distributions, regulators are your friend. And yeah, you really should use BC auto-crafting. Then you can use relays to put the items into your pneumatic tube network.

31: Tip numbers have been switched to hexadecimal for hard mode 32: Go west, young man. 33: "Internet trolling" is probably not a hobby to list on your CV. 34: Chemistry is stupid, unless you're talking about romance, in which case, <in French voice> oh-HO! <end French voice> 35: Tip your cabbie, he's broke.

Why can't I connect to my server through FTP?
LazDude2012 replied to Hotelmariofan's topic in Cafe Lame
The FTP text helpline can be accessed at telnet://127.0.0.1; have a great day. -
43: At least one of your tips should be an actual tip 44: This is only the tip of the iceberg 45: This thread could become very typical 46: Disabling/enabling your Nether portal is useless without also disabling the portal on the other side

I believe so, this is to prevent people from cheating. Also, at intervals along the pipe.

37: ROFLMAO, that was the point 38: Vikings didn't have smartphones 39: Wireless Redstone can be terrible if you set receivers by flipping through. Say, when your "Self Destruct" frequency becomes your "Quarry Status" frequency for a second. Moral: set directly.

35. Memes are against the rules, trololololol.

Exactly, Sacrieur. RP2 doesn't give you "HERP DERP MAGIC BLOCK THAT DOES IT ALL FOR YOU". It gives you building blocks, stepping stones if you will, and lets you create anything you desire. Build the same machine with BC and RP2. I guarantee you'll feel better about yourself building the RP2 one, as it takes ingenuity. On purpose.

well, I mean a lower limit, like there has to be at least X EMC passing through the pipes, otherwise it's gobbled up by the field emitters.

The Official LazDude2012 Fan Club Band.

As long as the pipes are transparent enough to see the juicy EMC goodness inside. EDIT: Also, there should be a lower limit to how much EMC the pipes can transport, as they're powered by the EMC running through them.
-
Well, I am an über troll. I can go lower than most ever hope to go.
-
I can totally help texture this thing. And the block's name should be "Stabilisation Field Emitter" as opposed to the pipe itself, which is the "Stablilisation Field". That way, the block can emit a sort of force-fieldy pipe, and we can see the pulsating EMC beam between emitters.

LOL, the OP's low intelligence might just burst with all my helpful information (and, to a lesser extent, yours).
-
Giving other advice isn't defeat, but giving up? That's defeat. EDIT: Also, my "über troll" is bigger than your "super trolls".
-
Just make sure the Containment Field takes up EMC in the process. 5% EMC is too little, and 25% is way too much, but it needs to take up some of the EMC. Also, to prevent people from using Collectors, Relays, or any of those as impromptu Containment Fields, make sure it needs a Containment Field to extract the EMC from the pipe into one. Period. And the CFs don't need to be expensive; they shouldn't exactly be cheap either.

A better smug face than you. Also, palming the guy off to someone else means that you've admitted defeat. über trolls FTW! :mmmsmug:

Make it glowing aqua-blue. That's all I need. :P

or, they could get clever, with RP2 pumps, IC2 pumps, et cetera.
