Yeah, the FPS one looked fantastic, and when i saw the one that was an upped version of the original, I nearly cried. Never being a player of the original, it passed over my head, but a big strategy fan, this will be my chance to see what all the fuss was about. oh, and btw(by the way, not the flower-related one), the FPS version of X-COM is just called XCOM, no dash between x and com

Another thing i just absolutely love about hack/mine is the multiplayer. dungeon questing is ufn, but not as fun as rip[ping through a low-level dungeon with six people.

neat article you got there, and I would absolutely LOVE to see a dual-weilding system in hack/mine, considering that you will never add battlegear support. Although, like you said, the balance issues is what is really holding it back. perhaps a slower attack speed and less damage while dual weilding? I mean, you can't hit as hard when you only use one hand to swing.

don't do a dedicated minceaft server host, normally low quality server for high price, go instead for VPS hosting. cheaper, more powerful, and most of the time you get root access. also, don't opt for a windows server just because you are more familiar with windows, linux has a more efficient terminal, making it easier to manage the server. and yes, this type comes without a gui.

Re: Finite Water Discussion + Fix For 7.0.1 SSP Dev Build I would recommend just making FL pipes BC tank compatible, and then making BC pipes FL pump compatible. probably would be an easier solution, depends on how difficult the coding is. If not, you could have an overide to where tanks automatically store water in them that comes near them, not sure if that is possible. -

same here, The SSP experience should be what you want, but collectors and condensers are CERTAINLY OP in SMP. They make it so just about everybody is running around in redmatter by the end of a few days. I personally only like the rings, amulets, and transmutation tables of EE, The collectors and condensers and relays only made me feel like I cheated to get all those items.

I hope not, but after fooling around with TFCraft for a while, I feel that it deserves a spot in the technic launcher even more. It is a drastically game-changing mod, completely reordering the way things are done.

I would recommend trying to stay away from modifying any more base classes that already have hooks in APIS, and using the APIs instead. It would be great if you added modloader support, and used player API instead of using you own instance for modifying the player model. Why Player API support? because i want battlegear support I doubt it will happen anytime soon, but that would be EPIC if you either added battlegear support, or devised your own dual-weild system

I was thinking instead of just plain adding more inventory space, maybe he could add packs that are sort of like handheld chests? that would allow easier transport of items, too.

you don't really understand what I was trying to say, there may be slight ammounts of what is now currently called "server lag", where the server's info is being sent too slow, but it won't be actually more physically taxing on your computer.

There is absolutely zero need to panic about performance requirements, because the part about inviting players into your ssp world is entirely optional, you don't even need to do that. And then you get the retards with laptops that are like, "YAY, NOW I CAN'T PLAY SINGLE PLAYER ON MY LAPTOP ANYMORE, THANKS MOJANG!", and mess everything up because they are too stupid to understand simple logic.
