They were just sort of.....there, and whoever did make them if it was a fake, went through a surprising amount of effort, and maybe I was just being stupid and uniformed with the herobrine thing originating from this, this may have been made as a joke from mojang referencing the herobrine stories. Considering some of the things Mojang has done before, such as the comment about the ghost entities and lord herobrine in one of the recent changelogs, and randomly putting herobrine in odd places.

The original creepypasta is actually a neat story, it was just how far out of proportion it was blown that made it so stupid EDIT: something worth checking out, though, is the herobrine mod. No, not that really old one that added him as a mob similar in behaviour to wolves, he leaves you alone until you attack him. I mean the newer one, where you construct the totem, and then light it with netherrack, and then he randomly appears behind you, and infront of you, and leaves traps all over the world, and eventually spells out his name.

Notch has an..................interesting sense of humor Of course, everyone remembers the Halloween update, but did you know there was an alternate download on notch's blog for a while that was the exact same update, no changes, but there were some.......additional files with it. More precisely, OGG files, two different ones. These files were ashes1ashes.ogg, and ashes2ashes.ogg. Ashes1ashes is just an empty sound file, with a few clicks, nothing important, but ashes2ashes is a recording of someone humming a tune, which eventually transitions into sobbing, ending with something spoken in Swedish. The files can be found here, as the links have been taken down since then. Of course, this was just a disturbing joke from notch, as when the Swedish is translated, it says, "I miss you brother." Also, when ashes2ashes.ogg is run through a spectogram, it reveals a figure similar to the minecraft player model, but with empty eyes. I think most of you here can put two and two together, so I will just put this out there

update your graphics card drivers, and if it is an ATI, check if OpenGL is enabled fully in the Catalyst Control Center. If it is a Nvidia (so much better, btw, ATI's are cheaper, but less powerful), check for OpenGL acceleration in the control panel.

get a better computer, my omega craptop starts technic launcher in about ten seconds, and on tiny or small render distance, has no lag while playing Hack/Mine, on singleplayer.

If I don't see any screenshots, no way I am trying this. Take some screens, and provide proof that you are playing hack/mine when you took them.

I was thinking that an undead race would be great fun to play, and you get the ability to command zombies and stuff. You would also be a lot more durable, but weaker and slower, as the muscles on your body are decaying. I would also LOVE to see a necromancer class. Imagine getting a ton of dark magic, and the ability to resurrect dead villagers :P

Whatever it is, I hope it stays just as insane as it is now. I love going into a dungeon to find a room full of nagas, especially on hardcore mode. It makes you go, "Crap, I need to go kill some spiders or something on the surface." Except you get out on the surface, and there are a billion slimes. Makes the game FAR more exciting.

Although I admit it would be awesome if the Aether mod was in the launcher, I also agree with Jakj, it isn't really a fantastic mod, it would probably come after Plenty of other different modpacks or mods. I do think it may eventually be in the launcher, though, how long it takes to get in there is the question.

Hello, Frizzil, I know you must be an awesome person to have allowed your mod to be in the technic launcher, but, unfortunately, your server section here is a pile of shit with a few pieces of dirt in it. The server posts are terrible, and half of the servers are either 5 slots, or never online. I would suggest you start enforcing a set of rules for server posting, or have people that go around, and review the servers, and then report back to you and tell which threads need to be whale boxed, and others which should be warned. Not attempting to suggest myself for this, but by saying that it made me seem like I REALLY am, but I really don't care. I just really wanted to bring this problem to attention, as I am going to have to stick to single player for now, since it is difficult to find a good server.

hmmm, previously, i noticed on it's to do list was to add optifine support. They must have done it.

I have actually made a taint machine before. It used a deployer to place a crucible, and then buildcraft pipes to drop a diamond block in (these were spawned, of course), and then a block breaker to break the crucible. That chunk tainted over REALLY fast

Part of the problem is the people, not the devs. about 20 years ago, a kid could break his arm in school, and the parents go, "WHAT THE FUCK WERE YOU DOING TO BREAK YOUR ARM?!?!!?" Now, a kid breaks his arm in school, and the parents go, "WHY WEREN'T YOU BEING WATCHED? I AM GOING TO FUCKING SUE THAT SHITTY SCHOOL!" People are so easily offended and quick to sue. it is so sad.
