You didn't read the common problems thread. You're using a 32 bit OS so you need to use the .jar not the .exe.

Also as a note, this guy doesn't understand in the least how memory in MC works, especially memory allocation. If it's suddenly using 1500 MB total then you're in trouble since it means it's been holding onto garbage data way too long and you're about to freeze up while it gets rid of it all.

It's great fun isn't it. I love setting up solar panels too. My favorite part is setting up things that auto collect resources like eggs or cacti.

Dev builds are made available to everyone AS IS. You play them at your own risk, because you want to take a peep at what we're working on. The official statement was to backup your game if you wanted to try out a devbuild but to understand that many a time they will be bug riddled or broken. It's entirely on you to heed our warning or not. They are not there to jump in and play, they are just there for previewing changes and seeing what we're working on, nothing else. Sometimes bug reports are useful, usually they aren't. If we need bug reports we usually make a place for them to go.

Disable IC2 sounds in the config. Watch a lot of your frame-rate problems evaporate.

Now that Sengir is out of the pack, I guess go for CovertJag. We weren't sure we liked railcraft at first but it's really grown on us.

It's honestly not that. Forestry isn't even behind adf.ly. There's so much more to it and its all disgustingly disappointing.
