  1. My trick is to fry my "frites" (Let's just call them the original, untranslated name, that'll set everything) two times. First, I fry them at a pretty low temperature for a while, to make them melting and orgasmic inside, and then I take them out, and fry them at very high temperature a very little time to make them crispy and hardcore outside. That way, we have the best of both worlds.
  2. Well, to be honest... Dell isn't really the most reliable you can find. I know from personal experience that their support sucks. Hard. In Canada at least. And don't forget that alienware is a franchise possessed by Dell. Personally, I think Toshiba, iBUYPOWER, heck even HP or Lenovo are better options. Dell is more interesting if you just want a computer to make text work, watch media, browse the Internet, but their gaming computers aren't the best.
  3. ? Torezu, what do you have against the Kappa Kappa Kappa? I think they're a very fine bunch of people.
  4. Howdy all of you, smart people! I have to request your help once more. I am presently in a process of learning to mod. I can do stuff with java, but at the very beginning of my experience I'm encountering apparently insurmountable difficulties. Now, I know that once one of you finds out what's wrong, I'm going to feel like an idiot because it'll be a thing simple as fuck, but I really can't help myself right now. First here's the mod, in a zip. http://www.mediafire.com/?6vn3bi71pe00k67 Eclipse isn't giving me any errors. Also, I have correctly installed MCP and FML. I've decompiled minecraft correctly too, and the files appear correctly in my workshop. The path to get to the mod in Eclipse is /Minecraft/common (source folder)/Tutorial.common (package)/Tutorial.java(.class file) The mod is named Tutorial, since that's exactly what it is. Once I've done that, I recompile, reobfuscate and go in the reobf folder in MCP. There I can find /minecraft/Tutorial/common/Tutorial.class. I compress in a .zip the folder named Tutorial, place it in the mods folder in my minecraft (Who has Forge correctly installed). Then, I try to play the game with my mod, and I get this error: ---- Minecraft Crash Report ---- // Shall we play a game? Time: 29/08/12 4:42 PM Description: Failed to start game java.lang.NullPointerException at cpw.mods.fml.common.FMLModContainer.getName(FMLModContainer.java:106) at cpw.mods.fml.common.Loader.sortModList(Loader.java:236) at cpw.mods.fml.common.Loader.loadMods(Loader.java:416) at cpw.mods.fml.client.FMLClientHandler.beginMinecraftLoading(FMLClientHandler.java:192) at net.minecraft.client.Minecraft.a(Minecraft.java:402) at net.minecraft.client.Minecraft.run(Minecraft.java:734) at java.lang.Thread.run(Unknown Source) Relevant Details: - Minecraft Version: 1.3.2 - Operating System: Windows 7 (amd64) version 6.1 - Java Version: 1.7.0_06, Oracle Corporation - Java VM Version: Java HotSpot 64-Bit Server VM (mixed mode), Oracle Corporation - Memory: 406857760 bytes (388 MB) / 514523136 bytes (490 MB) up to 954466304 bytes (910 MB) - JVM Flags: 2 total; -Xms512m -Xmx1024m - LWJGL: 2.4.2 - OpenGL: GeForce GTX 660M/PCIe/SSE2 GL version 4.2.0, NVIDIA Corporation - Is Modded: Definitely; 'forge, fml' - Type: Client - Texture Pack: Default - Profiler Position: N/A (disabled) And... Yeah, pretty much. If there's any missing info, please do ask.
  5. Wrong. We got swords.
  6. I'd wait until you have something to show before making the thread, else, it'll die pretty fast.
  7. Thank Jakj, he's the one who dug it up from the depths of blogspot for me. Nobody ever goes there, but that was in the Modder's Metropolis, if you wanna know.
  8. I fear chunks will never load at supersonic speeds. :D
  9. I think the setup I use here (Scroll down) is about as efficient as it can get. Remember to step down your current with HV transformers so you can use glass fibre cable.
  10. Then I'll go ahead and recommend you this laptop, that is the one I own right now. This beast got awesome specs all around, in particular an excellent video card, I love it. I got it a 4GB RAM upgrade to host a server but it's still epic by default. http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834230405CVF
  11. http://wuppy29.blogspot.nl/2012/08/forge-modding-132.html This tutorial literally shows you everything you want to know to mod minecraft, I totally recommend it.
  12. I just remembered I used to play Twisted Metal 2 on the PS with some friends, it was great. I loved the excavator, and also psychotic ice-cream clown. And I learned recently it had been banned in many countries because you could splatter innocent people walking in the streets... Damn, Turok, banned games... My childhood wasn't so peaceful after all.
  13. He doesn't look overjoyed to receive your feelings...
  14. I wonder what the effect of golden carrots is though.
  15. Gav, it's not because there are missiles in the game that frame airships are completely obsolete. If missile launchers are compatible with Frames, and I think they are, I could very well imagine a cool flying missile platform that moves around where destruction is needed. Plus, a missile flying around is much cooler than a turtle placing a cobble block, a nuke and a redstone torch in mid-air, or a TNT-nuke launcher, if you ask me. Moreover, missiles are actually counter able, making them actually less OP than other Tekkit options.
  16. As a nocturnal person, I think a lighten up keyboard is must. But all the color changing stuff on Alienware computers is not only a waste of cash, but also a waste of energy, as well as a source of heat. A small one, but one still.
  17. Okay Darth, I already asked a few times, but I haven't had a satisfying answer. Why are all your sentences separated by a space? Like this. This is a tremendous waste of virtual space.
  18. Aww man, Halo 2 was the shit. In the good meaning of the word. I always ever played in offline with friends, but god was it fun. I was a pro with making Banshee tricks too. And also, it had one of the best FPS campaign I've ever played, nothing to do with nowadays 4 hours CoD campaigns. Talking about FPS's, one game that is engraved in my soul from playing it over and over is Turok Evolution. What is better than making your friends puke their entrails out, explode in gore limb by limb, and ionize with a personal nuclear holocaust? Nothing, if you ask me. Heck, that's still what I have the most fun doing in Tekkit. :D
  19. For me, the Yogcast is for entertainment, and DW20 is for actually learning the mods. They complete each other, they're not in a versus. That's my opinion, at least.
  20. A budget would be nice indeed. Personally, I presently have an ASUS G55V, and it's definitely one of the best gaming laptops I've ever had; the price is VERY reasonable for the features, also. Also, don't fall in the alienware trap, it's Apple all over again; half of the price is the fancy logo.
  21. What do you have against bards? I LOVE bards. I must have invested thousand of gold pieces in the bard industry of Skyrim. I should be the main director of the SBPS (Syndicate of Bards of the Province of Skyrim).
  22. Hey,I never thought about it as having a seven-man zombie army! That's great! Ready to take over the world anytime my cybernetic strength implants are ready.
  23. Oh damn, sorry for the error. At least, I only have to change my last step. :D
  24. LOL I'M AN IDIOT I SHOULD HAVE NEVER HUMILIATED JORCER. Edit : Jorcer, what have you done! Changing my pass word ASAP.
  25. I would have expected more from a Viking Hacker. ): Anyway, for Chrome, here's how it goes. Click the little wrench, settings, show advanced settings, content settings, scroll down to plugins, here, you can "block all" or disable individual plugins. If you took the second option, search for java in your plugins and simply disable it. You might want to know you can edit exceptions if there are java scripts you really want to keep.
