Your ratings seem to jump all over the place... The gap between 4 and 5 in the spawn category is much larger than between 2 and 3, etc. Also, I doubt you could get an accurate assessment of a server based on the spawn, a few minutes interaction with the staff and how much lag you have. There is so much more to servers than just those three basic categories. This is just my opinion.

You need to own Minecraft. Also, update your Java

Seeing as you can play the game, this sounds like it is an issue with your Mac rather than the Launcher... Try Googleing to see if anyone else has had and solved the problem.

Could we have the log? Without that there isn't much we can do.

Turn off Kaspersky and redownload.

If your launcher is encountering this error, a solution is to download the .jar file from http://www.technicpack.net/download/ (pick the third from the left (Linux/Jar)). If you are using Internet Explorer you will also need to change the file extension (the ending of the file) to .jar instead of .zip. Once you’ve done that, all you need to do is double-click on the file to run the launcher.

Are you using Java 7? If so you need to downgrade to Java 6 (from Apple) There is a guide on how to do that on these forums.

this is unnecessary, seeing as if you had read the COMMON PROBLEMS AND SOLUTIONS sticky, you would have see that this is already a fix. Also, there have been dozens of posts that have been solved in this way.

We need more info to help. what bit is your OS, what bit is you Java? What update version is your Java? Do you have any antivirus or firewalls up? Also, to really help, we need the error log.

Can you run the pack at all?

Well, using Ice to cool a reactor doesn't sound very realistic...

This is one of the only things I can not stand about Red Power... You either have all of it, or none of it.

One thing I forgot to mention (and after seome searching, other people with the cache issue have solved it with this): Try using the .jar version of the launcher.
