  1. Always refer to the recipe manager on NEI over a wiki. It's going to be more accurate and give you a lot less headache.
  2. This is clearly the tekkit version of who's on first. One thing that might be happening is the port could be blocked by something else. If you've got it forwarded on your router, you also have to make sure any software firewall is allowing it. Furthermore, depending on where your server is hosted, the ISP may be blocking that port for whatever reason. One example is that most ISP's block port 21, which I think is the FTP port, to prevent their customers from turning into FTP servers. Hamachi would alleviate the problem you're having, like Sandwich is suggesting. It creates a virtual LAN over the internet. So you and your friend would get Hamachi, install it, and you would make the virtual LAN that he would be able to join. From there it's just a matter of joining like if it were over your personal network.
  3. You shouldn't need to use glass fibre cables if you're only producing a 1-2eu current. Tin cables should be able to handle that easily and they've got the same rate of loss as glass fibre cabling, which is 40 blocks. So, about every 40, place down a batbox to avoid loss of current.
  4. I am so confused. What water strainers are you talking about? Ok, nevermind, I was a little confused by the post itself. Can you post a picture of the setup so we can get a better idea of how things are piped?
  5. I haven't raged like that in awhile. Thanks for allowing him to live long enough so I was able to get that off my chest.
  6. Yeah, Moogle is right. If there is one thing I've learned about running a game server is that anyone who's willing to volunteer for the job isn't going to do you any favors by doing a good job. You'll want to pick and choose from your existing player base. Look for people who are striving to better the server through their own hard work, by helping newcomers, and really just have an overall good character about them. When someone says, "I'll help by being an admin/mod/person with power over others" that's just screaming, "At some point, I will completely rape your server and betray your trust." I'm not saying this method is 100% failproof, but it's going to serve you better than taking in applicants.
  7. How hard did you look? Did you search? Did you refine that search? Did you make any attempt to locate problems similar to yours using Google? Did you do anything?
  8. Jesus fucking christ Alex. How goddamn hard is it to hit EDIT before making another post? You've managed to double and triple post in one thread. You're one of the dumbest posters I've ever come across. You make almost no effort in your posts, you're a fucking retard for reporting a mod, the pretending you don't even know who he is IN THE SAME GODDAMN THREAD THAT YOU CREATED. Someone needs to set your hair on fire so you'll finally pay attention to something worth paying attention to; however, you probably will just think it's neat and let your scalp sizzle. The good news is that you will be unaffected by any damage due to the complete lack of using your brain. Also, I'm going to go out on a limb and say that because I used more than 4 words, you tl;dr this and went off to make more useless posts containing a minimum of 5 words. Jackass.
  9. It's tolerable, but Terran Republic is where it's at. My hats off to the NC guys for the big guns, but when I played Planetside, I kept going back to TR. There was something about it that I liked. Maybe it was the non-gay color scheme, or the fact that your handgun was partially effective (the others were either under balanced or over balanced), or that the people who played the faction weren't a bunch of pole smoking cock knockers. TR just seemed to be the win faction. But I got me a beta key as of last night, so I'm totally amp'd. I just hope this ol' computer can push the specs, which for an online game, it should.

Fuck. When did I get replaced?

Don't be a dickhead. People add this to their existing pack all the time because by its own right it's a decent mod people enjoy. Sure, the guy who made it has some issues and that's on him. People still want to use it, so they're well within their own right to support Sir Stinky Pants and add his mod to their fabulous tekkit collection. Anyway, don't be a dick. That's my job.
  12. A very valid point.
  13. Don't forget dong rockets.
  14. There is no problem with EE that can't be replicated with another mod, which is the point I was getting at. Is it as 'easy' to get going as collectors? Well, yeah. Actually easier since you don't need a trip to the nether. Not only that, but as Jay pointed out, you can expand it a lot easier. The output may not be equal, but the cost of materials is also imbalanced. Collectors require a lot of glowstone, diamond and obsidian. Other than the obsidian the other two aren't easy to come by early game. Later game they are and by then the collectors are pumping out dark and red matter which, well, are fun. As for things coming from thin air, anything technic related. Wind Turbines, water turbines, and solar panels all produce energy with no fuel, which is why they're considered 'clean energy'. Redpower is the same way with thermopiles and solar panels. It's just a way to gather energy without being wasteful or, if it existed (and i wish it did), exhaust pollution. I bet the thaumcraft guy could probably make this happen, but I digress. Anyway, the overall point is, a lot of people give EE a lot of shit specifically for the EMC generation blocks and further go to say it makes a lot of very overpowered items which it does. Taking it away are only going to cause people to look for other methods of generating items without having to go down into the mines. You can keep taking things away and eventually you're not going to be playing a tekkit server but instead a very vanilla server with a little fudge drizzle. It's hard to digest a vanilla server when you started with a banana split.
  15. Just goes to further prove that EE isn't the sole reason for economic collapse. There is always a way, no matter how much you nerf something, to eventually bypass mining altogether.

Bronze is in the forge dictionary. It's also used in Industrialcraft for quite a bit of items, namely the wrench and bronze armor.
  17. If you can't figure out how to post in the bug report section, you have bigger problems my friend. Also, you can't place anything into a condenser. They're sort of like an "it's an out only hole" kind of gal. This is a very vague problem you're talking about. It sounds almost like you don't understand how <insert whatever mod you're talking about here> works. Which isn't so much a bug as it is ignorance layered with laziness of doing any kind of research.
  18. Again, like I said above... diamonds aren't expensive once you get a compressor and macerator built. Grind up coal, make it into coal balls, combine with obsidian, compress. Diamond!
  19. What the whore? Dude, STOP. Just, STOP. Read the stickies and try again.
  20. As Videoboy pointed out, you could just ship buckets back and forth using the enderchest, deployers, and retreivers. Although personally I'd stick with the lapotron crystal setup. You need less of them going back and forth and you're gonna want to get used to building them because geothermal power is -extremely- efficient and you'll fill up an MFSU in no time.

That's because I know how much you, the other mods, and pretty much anyone affiliated with Technic, puts up with. So deal with it.

The Sparklefarts mod. That would pretty much be a clear must for the mods listed in this thread. Jesus fucked christ.

This is including your OP, because had you DONE THE GODDAMN RESEARCH you wouldn't have needed to make this thread. So be -very- thankful Freak was kind enough to tell you. He's a class act. I am not. You wrote it wrong. You're supposed to say, "Good News Everyone! I now read Freakachu's posts in the professor's voice!"
  24. Oh. Duh. Sorry I didn't look at the image. You're piping it in wrong. Put the tube on the bottom. The problem is NONE of your resources are going into the red shaded area, where they are supposed to go. Basically, you're filling up the buffer but not putting anything in the active resource bar. Run your tube into the bottom on ALL Mk2 crafting tables and out the top.
  25. Well some servers have EE partially enabled. I could see having a condenser with a lava cell targeted, or even just tin depending on what is allowed, then having something like a cobblestone generator fueling it. The server I play on only has 3 of us, so I use EE to fuel the factory. It allows me to focus more on engineering and streamlining than having to constantly worry about resources.
