  1. Proud to announce that we now have the hardware for the official server, should be here in the coming weeks
  2. Not bad ideas, I really agree with you in having built in discover installations and a more obvious indicator for the search thing.
  3. Updated to version 1.2.1: #Updated BiblioCraft to 1.9.2 #Updated ThaumCraft to 4.2.3.0 -Removed Hardcore Ender Expansion (statistics menu crash) -Removed Shaders (Potato hell) -Removed Better Foliage (Also potato hell)
  4. Wow, this pack looks like it has more effort put into it than anything I've seen in a while. Congrats dude! You earned a like from me.
  5. I'm working on a Hexxit style Hardcore Questing Mode modpack for Minecraft 1.7.10 and I have a basic pack set up but I'm not that great at making quests yet, so are there any experienced members out there who've used HQM and are willing to help me make quests for a fantasy adventure style pack? Thank you.
  6. You can use our Solder database for a fee per month (depends on how much bandwidth you use, but likely not more than whatever you payed for DropBox Pro). PM me if interested. We have a 300 Mbps uplink.
  7. Updated to version 1.2, new in this version are #Carpenter's Blocks updated to 3.3.4.2 *Migrated entire modpack to Technic Solder 0.7 (fancy mod list and multiple versions, yay!)
  8. Simplify version 1.1.1 released. Updated iChun Util, added Progressive Automation, and added some Ruins template generation (just messing around for now, will add some cool dungeons or other stuff in future updates).
  9. You can install them from the website, simply ensure your are logged in on the website with an account and that the launcher is open and logged in as well on the same computer.
  10. 1.1 Update did a bunch of cool stuff, check out the changelog on the Platform page for more details. Also, we're sticking with ExtraBiomes XL, sorry BoP fans but we believe EBXL has a more vanilla feel and isn't as radical an overhaul as BoP is.
  11. 1) Hidden packs still have the "Install This Pack" button for me, not sure what you mean. 2) Not sure, it's likely an issue with your Solder installation.
  12. Delete your .technic folder and your Technic Launcher. Reinstall it from http://technicpack.net/downloads/ . Now, to install packs make sure your launcher is open and you are logged into it, as well as that your are logged into Technic the Technic Platform website. Find the modpack you wish to install and click "Install This Modpack" and wait for the launcher to disappear and reappear with the modpack now added.
  13. 1) The new discussion system needs to be explained to the user better, few even know it exists. 2) Installing modpacks while neat is not immediately visible when using the Platform, the Launcher needs to explain the new install process better.
  14. People assume that RPG means "magic". Tech and RPG are not mutually exclusive, aspects we know and love like tech trees are inspired from RPG elements. The best modpacks are the ones that understand how this difference of themes doesn't really matter, what DOES matter is how elements of technological and magical progress are balanced and blend into one cohesive experience for maximum immersion.
  15. What do you guys think of my vanilla-style pack Simplify?

  16. I hate to be that guy that says he was into something before it was cool, but I found Copy in like September of 2013 or so, so yeah. You can thank me later.
  17. The new Platform has been awesome but lately the missing dashboard and mod list features are starting to annoy me. Is there any knowledge on when these features might make a return? Also where are the Permissions & Licensing and Help sections for modpacks found?
  18. All of that's unnecessary, just grab the Linux version (.jar) and run that. I'm just pissed because I like having it in my Applications folder.
  19. Woo, that took a while but the formatting is finally done! Enjoy the modpack! Can I get an award for prettiest platform potluck thread now?
  20. Feel free to post any screenshots you take with the pack and I'll add them to the screenshots spoiler if they're cool!
  21. So you recommend I get some Linux box hosting and use SSH and a LEMP stack?
  22. Ah ok. Good cause I havent updated myself yet lol.
  23. I'm trying to install Solder 0.7 via Composer and XAMPP on my OS X Yosemite machine and I'm running into some difficulties installing into XAMPP to access the dashboard. Anyone got any tips?
