  1. You might also want to check out my modapck Project OMNIUS, which is a spiritual successor to Big Dig of sorts in that it has increased orogen and project E for rapid acceleration through the tech tree.
  2. That's not very specific, any modpack for a somewhat recent Minecraft version has LAN support, what in particular suits your fancy?
  3. Check this one out, really well made modpack! TIP: Screenshots are broken it seems
  4. Hello there, so I've had this idea for a mod forever and would love it if someone would actually be able to execute it. It's called Gaseous Expansion, and would be exactly what the title implies. It would start with a few food additions such as tacos and chewing gum, craftable with vanilla ingredients (recipes could be anything simple I guess) and a HUD indicator perhaps in the lower left by default (being configurable for modpacks would be nice I guess) that shows the flatulence level. Eating certain foods raises this and increases the chance of a methane release periodically, accompanied by some brown colored particle effect and appropriate noises. A debuff with poison for the surrounding area might be cool too. Now, here's the genius of the mod. Natural flatulence could be exploited to generate power (integration with RF or other mod's power systems) through a machine called the "Gaseous Collector" and some piping into "Modular Gaseous Storage Systems" (think Applied Energistics but for farts). This could then be processed into actual energy by some other cool machinery. Eventually around end game there could be more complex systems for generating flatulence such as making clones and force feeding them flatulence inducing foods such as tacos systematically. Let me know if you're interested in developing this idea into an actual mod, thanks!
  5. Are you ready for Project: Omnius? Maybe you've played modpacks before, but you've never seen modded Minecraft quite like this. Omnius is a massive collection of Minecraft's best mods big and small, famous and new, all of which are awesome. The premiere modded Minecraft experience is here, from industrial expansions to magical explorations, you know this adventure is going to be big! Originially inspired from my old pack "Ultra Modded Survival", Omnius is a pack more versatile than any other. It is THE best and easiest way to experience premium engaging modded content in Minecraft. Omnius also includes fetures such as in game NBT Edit, Custom NPC's, in game MineTweaker recipe editing, WorldEdit'ing in singleplayer, and more that allow you to build it YOUR way! So, are you in? GET THE PACK
  6. As the creator of Steve's Galaxy I want to ask: you do realize that the wasteland's supposed to be boring? You're supposed to go to space to do all your fancy science stuff.
  7. There's a 1 hour cache between Modpack updates to recommended and the Tefhnic Platform showing such in the mod list. It's nt out of sync, it's just cached.
  8. I'd love to do assets for your pack but please understand two things 1) Like it or not, all my icons must follow a simple style that is minimalist and subtle yet classy 2) The Technic assets can only be so high resolution, so I can't fit much text or details on there or it will begin to look bad. With these things in mind would you like me to improvise?
  9. Amazing looking pack, I just can't take you seriously using Comic Sans, please for the love of all that is formal use a good font.
  10. New post is here, with a bit nicer formatting than the last one and hopefully to be better maintained! Shoot your suggestions in posts below.
  11. In the wake of Minecraft there hasn't been another voxel style open world game that's been able to replicate it's success. When you think about it, Minecraft really did come out of nowhere, and from a janky game made by one dude with no modding API came one of the largest gaming communities in history. So, how do we prepare for the next big sensation that the kids will be into tomorrow? Well we can't be sure, but staying tuned to this thread's a good way to make some educated guesses! As new games in the vein of Minecraft come out everyday from places like Steam Greenlight it can be hard to keep track, so we'll let you know what the good ones are below. To always be in the know, bookmark this thread and check on it whenever you feel like knowing what the hot new voxel games are! If you have a suggestion/know a good one, let us know in a post in this thread and we'll add it! So without further ado let's get started down our journey of finding the next Minecraft! This promising Minecraft style space exploration/building game has been in development for a while now and it's matured significantly in the last few months. It's still an early access game on Steam but it runs on anything and is pretty fun, has some cool spaceship stuff! While bearing many gameplay resemblances to Minecraft (and making no subtleties about it's inspirations) Terasology is in active development and looks REALLY good, that is graphics wise. If your PC can run it then give it a shot! [img=http://playingthecanon.files.wordpress.com/2013/05/photo-main.jpg] TUG intends to be a Minecraft style game with neat looking smooth voxels and gameplay inspired by many common mods such as Thaumcraft. For $10 on Steam Early access it's playable, but keep in mind it's still a very WIP alpha. [url=http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=302340274]ONE LAST DAY One Last Day is a Steam Greenlight game for Mac, Linux, and PC that is a post apocalyptic voxel game set in a zombie apocalypse. Not exactly original, but it looks fun and well done overall with some cool survival elements.
  12. No problem, least I could do!

  15. Yep, both Affinity Designer and Pixelmator. They're great programs, but Illustrator and Photoshop ain't bad either
  16. Thanks! Do you use Mac OS X? It's a cool Illustrator replacement for Mac called Affinity Designer, and I use Pixelmator for general editing.
  17. For reference I used Sildur's Vibrant Shaders 1.053 Dangerous Depths Logo: Dangerous Depths Icon: Dangerous Depths Background:
  18. Sure! For the background I think I'll do a really cool screenshot with shaders, and just use my design program as I did above for the logo and icon.
