I have played with both, but IC2 only a little bit. I do know buildcraft rather well though. what is the purpose of a macerator? To grind a resource down into a more basic form. Recommendations(if you been invited): Others things i should know: I am very interested to see what has been done on this server but I do feel that I should inform you of the following. My intent is only to play if I can find a group to work with. I have no interest what so ever of striking it out on my own. Instead I prefer to work with others to a greater end. I am very proficient with basic minecraft mechanics, and have a stable understanding of buildcraft as well. The RP aspect seems interesting, and I may try that out in the near future. I'd like to get comfortable with Tekkit, meet some new people, and make a name for myself. Have you played IC2 or Buildcraft?: I've played with both, I enjoy them both, but I am no where near fluent with them. I play with them normally using Tekkit, so my knowledge of IC2 and Buildcraft is as broad as my knowledge of Tekkit as a whole. What is the purpose of a Macerator?: Grinds down most ores into smelt-able dust, yielding two dust per one ore; also grinds down ingots back into their dust form; creates coal dust from coal to be used in carbon fiber. Recommendations(if you been invited): None. Others things you should know: Timezone: (UTC-08:00) Pacific Time (US & Canada) New-ish to Tekkit, still learning the basics (I have the wikis and tutorials for each major Tekkit mod bookmarked xD ). Probably will not contribute to the RPing until I've gotten comfortable with the server and Tekkit. Very very shy, I won't talk very much for a while. I hosted my own tekkit server for a group of friends for a while, so I got used to the different features of both mods. what is the purpose of a macerator? The macerator serves to make ore dust from ores. For instance, macerating 1 iron ore will grant you 2 iron dust, which can effectively be smelted back into iron ignots. A macerator has many functions, first of all is to grind ores into dust in a 1 to 2 ratio, you can also grind coal and bars to dust 1 to 1 and a few miscellaneous things.
