Nethaufer Posted March 23, 2012 Posted March 23, 2012 Now, I don't mean avoiding them because of dislike of them, but just avoiding in general because you don't really have any need to be there. I personally avoid the Tekkit threads, the smp server threads, the avant garde threads, the yogbox threads, and one or two others.

None really, I dive in head first, help where I can, make fun of the kellers, and try not to piss off the red/blue/green names.
Jay? Posted March 23, 2012 Posted March 23, 2012 None really, I dive in head first, help where I can, make fun of the kellers, and try not to piss off the red/blue/green names. Pretty much this. Except without the part about trying not to piss off the mods. One day some admin or another is going to ban me, and i'll have noone to blame but myself I DO try to stay out of threads where someone is having a very technical problem though.
Modversity_Gameing Posted March 23, 2012 Posted March 23, 2012 I mostly avoid anything with 1 - 99999999999999 replies.
freakachu Posted March 24, 2012 Posted March 24, 2012 I usually shy away from technic threads, both bug and general because I play tekkit. basically I check the general sections, the tekkit sections, and this section. I avoid the others mostly due to lack of interest.
rhibakuska Posted March 24, 2012 Posted March 24, 2012 Me, Nothing really, not avoiding, but not posting, the Tekkit boards, since i only play single player. having crappy internet, and the servers are halfway across the world. yeahh.
jimbanen25 Posted March 24, 2012 Posted March 24, 2012 I typically avoid Tekkit/ Yogbox threads because I don't play those much. Also, unless it seems glaringly obvious, I avoid replying to the bug threads, simply because I am not very good with helping fix things like that.
gassy_lobster Posted March 29, 2012 Posted March 29, 2012 I generally avoid Voxel Box and that stinkin' Yog Box threads. (No offense.) My opinion on the Yogscast is that, in general, their content is mediocre at best with the exception of their Technic Pack preview. And the Voxel Box, because, well, I stink at architecture and have never tried to apply for their server because of it. ^_^

Except Pudding Huxtable, the guy who makes the Yogbox, has little to no affiliation with the actual Yogscast outside of making the modpack for them. Prior to being called the Yogbox it was actually called "Now That's What I Call Minecraft", and it originated on the Something Awful forums. :v:

Yep, was hosted on goonskins along with Splunkaville (and Splunkaville MKII), MIAP (Minecraft Island Adventure Playset), and Skylands if I do recall.

And interesting history lesson, too. You're better than my teacher. O.o
DemonCrusher36 Posted March 29, 2012 Posted March 29, 2012 The tekkit and servers, as well as yogbox and voxelbox (voxelbox sucks). Technic, cafe lame and enclopedia technic (or however its spelled xp)
Synthetica Posted April 4, 2012 Posted April 4, 2012 I don't really avoid anything, but try not to piss of the mods too badly. About exactly what Linkthegamer says.
gugglle Posted April 7, 2012 Posted April 7, 2012 Mostly posts like this. "HALP!!! FIX IT, IT DOSENT wORK!!!!!11!eleven!1"
Synthetica Posted April 7, 2012 Posted April 7, 2012 Mostly posts like this. "HALP!!! FIX IT, IT DOSENT wORK!!!!!11!eleven!1" Do you avoid those? I love those, especially when they are like this.
gugglle Posted April 7, 2012 Posted April 7, 2012 Do you avoid those? I love those, especially when they are like this. Gets old quite fast if you read some forums out there. They are funny here, mostly, but yeah, I do avoid them.
