Torezu Posted August 7, 2012 Posted August 7, 2012 would nuclear reactor land mines work? step on pressure pad, overloaded reactor turns on. DOOM I suppose, but it would be sooo much cheaper to just put a nuke there instead. Quote
Xylord Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 I suppose, but it would be sooo much cheaper to just put a nuke there instead. Sure, but the crater from from a six chambers overloaded reactor is about two point five trillion times more badass than a plain nuke. Quote
Torezu Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 Sure, but the crater from from a six chambers overloaded reactor is about two point five trillion times more badass than a plain nuke. 35 vs 45 for explosion radius default isn't really that huge a difference, for the enormous cost difference. It'd be cheaper to set off about 6 nukes. Quote
zeeZ Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 Sadly I have encased the whole thing in a two block thick wall of reinforced stone... for the most part. The fake building and most of the mountain stayed intact, it was mostly the floor and a lot of the wiring that got blown off below (at least the siren directly below the reactor survived it :D) I tried adding nukes on pistons for effect, but they randomly went off before the reactor did and took me down to a couple hearts for some reason.. Melaqua Posted August 24, 2012 Posted August 24, 2012 I think you may be going about this wrong. The trick to killing someone with quantum is to get them to take it off. Quote
Air_Gamer Posted August 24, 2012 Posted August 24, 2012 I think you may be going about this wrong. The trick to killing someone with quantum is to get them to take it off. The in-development version of Mystcraft has the ability to create a disarming link book, which apparently makes the user drop there stuff, so this may not be a too difficult trick. Quote
Maximus930 Posted August 25, 2012 Posted August 25, 2012 Can deployers turn on a DM pedistal with archangels smite on? It should eventualy whittle down their charge. Quote
joe5 Posted August 25, 2012 Posted August 25, 2012 what about just putting a base in the end? if they attack with a jetpack they have no quantum and if they use a frame ship then you return fire and drop them Quote
BurningCake Posted August 25, 2012 Posted August 25, 2012 what about just putting a base in the end? if they attack with a jetpack they have no quantum and if they use a frame ship then you return fire and drop them They could just pillar up? Quote
pixlepix Posted August 25, 2012 Posted August 25, 2012 Make a chamber where the floor is being pushed up and down by pistons every half second or so. They cant escape. Put tesla cables, and they will commit suicide of boredom . Quote
joe5 Posted August 25, 2012 Posted August 25, 2012 not if their is nothing for them to pillar off of Quote
Jorcer Posted August 25, 2012 Posted August 25, 2012 Well this necro has spiralled out of control. What are the rules for a necro that starts getting popular again? Quote
Torezu Posted August 25, 2012 Posted August 25, 2012 Well this necro has spiralled out of control. What are the rules for a necro that starts getting popular again? To be a zombie thread, it has to have died. In my opinion, a 2-week-old thread could still be clinging to life. That's why no one got warnings for necromancy - because interesting stuff is being added to the conversation. Quote
Jorcer Posted August 25, 2012 Posted August 25, 2012 Thats what I sort of was thinking. Just curious. Quote
Maximus930 Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 Pedestals can be turned on or off with redstone, but they're spotty at best in SMP. Quote
