  1. Try the forum dedicated to texture packs.
  2. I'm pretty sure tick lag depends on the processor of the server...since that's what's processing the information and maintaining the ticks...
  3. @ laffen, yes, Sengir develops BC but he is not the original nor main developer for BC and BC is licensed differently and is open source (if I'm not mistaken). Forestry, however, is a mod he developed himself so it's a little different. Also, what danidas said.

Alright, shoot me one. Steam just says you're on some mobile device all the time. Did you get the server up and running again? If so, I'll just swing by sometime.
  5. I don't recall specifically when it was released but the main page would leave me to believe it was 07 Mar 2012. However, using this to judge when the next version will be released is asinine. Tekkit relies on Mojang and every mod developer (and the people who create Bukkit ports) before they can even do a damn thing. You want a metric? Look for major Minecraft updates, watch the completion of every mod therein, watch the bukkit conversion, and then install them all yourself and see if they're stable enough. If they're stable and available, Tekkit will probably have a new release soon.

That's fine but what you use it for beside the server can and probably will effect your server. If you're using other applications that just keep a lot loaded in RAM or you're using a RAM-disk, that's fine. If, however, you're using applications which are processor heavy and aren't allocated their own dedicated processor threads, you will likely see lag on the server when that processor time is eaten up. Also, without you specifying how you intend to run it (virtualization, other processes, and such), the advice you get here may be limited to reasonable guesses. Also, Gassy, where've you been man? I hit you up on Steam before and haven't heard from you since.
  7. It's all good, mate. Just letting you know.
  8. Greetings there Captain Obvious. I was restating he/she would have to install it themselves because his/her post stated that he/she wanted it added back into Tekkit and talking about how it runs fine in SMP. I was merely stating that all the reasons for forestry's removal and the instructions on how to re-install it are located on the forum so maybe the OP should have a look rather than contributing to the growth of useless threads covered hundreds of times before. Mostly, I just wanted to tell this 1 post new guy to not sign his/her posts (which simply demonstrates how little time this person put into getting to know the Technic/Tekkit forums and the rules thereof). Personally, I usually regard 1 post heroes that re-post the same crap all the time as trolls. Unfortunately, sometimes it's just faster and easier to throw them a link or short post and tell them to piss off than to ignore them and have them bump their useless thread until someone responds. -.-
  9. If you want forestry back, you'll have to install it yourself. How to install it yourself and the reason for its removal are all on the forums. Just add Z or ZZZZZ in front of forestry and don't sign your posts!
  10. What he said. WT[expletive] are you talking about?
  11. How about you read up on the proper bug reporting format, new guy.
  12. Can we just send this to P.A.I.N.S and call it a day? ;p
  13. @mack, if that's the case I retract my comment. However, that is not the intended behavior (for the person who wrote nether ores) and I don't quite understand why the rotary macerator would function as a macerator and a replicating oven (in this situation). If the creator of advanced machines wrote that in just for nether ores, I can't quite understand why.
  14. You are an idiot. Edit: You're not only an idiot but a troll...good one. When you smelt nether ore it doesn't give you bars, it gives you normal ore. In other words, nether iron ore is cooked into regular iron ore which can then be macerated. This is how nether ore was designed to work by the mod creator. Taken from the nether ore page "Once you harvest one of these, you must smelt it into the drop you'd get from its surface form by cooking it in a furnace. Nether Iron gets you an iron ore block, Nether Redstone gets you redstone dust, etc." Also, OP, don't sign your posts.
  15. Tubes, pneumatic tubes. Basically, as long as they're connected to stuff, they'll keep extras inside instead of spitting them into the world. It's better to deal with a backup or a bottleneck than a geyser (especially for servers).
  16. Are you putting the copper block into the top of the macerator?
  17. If the server allows flight, try being in mid-air (ie. jumping) when you turn the suit on. I don't know why, but this worked for my players and I in 2.1 so it's worth a shot. I had the same thing pop up, never did find out why nor really tried when I could jump to turn it on; note, couldn't turn it off after without re-logging into the server.
  18. My roommate and I... What are his system specs and what type of machinery are you talking about? 2Gb allocation for a server of 2 is plenty unless you load crazy amounts of chunks. It could be his processor or computer especially if he plays on the computer and it uses integrated graphics because it's using computer overhead to render video. Does the server run fine when he's not playing? Does the lag change if he turns MC graphics down? Without knowing more about the computer itself, we can't really eliminate the computer as the potential problem. What type of machinery? Is there a possibility for an IC2 power loop, entities being dropped from pipes (try a remove entities command "/remove items -1"), or many redstone timers or complex redstone machines? Without knowing more about what you have there (at least a rough idea), we can't eliminate that as the source of the problem either. So...bring us some info or figure it out.
  19. No worries, this isn't really a dumb question and, at least in my experience, and isn't one asked ad nauseam on the forums. The instructions on the homepage are only to convert the 3.0.3 server to the 3.0.4 server (some of the bukkit ports were changed to eliminate bugs). If you're installing a fresh 3.0.4 server, they have nothing to do with you. I would recommend you scrap the server and re-install a fresh 3.0.4 server to eliminate the chance that you screwed that part up somehow. Also, you didn't have to make a second post but an FYI: html doesn't have to go in code tags. The CODE tags are if you're pasting code you want people to be able to copy and paste (such as the inside of a config file, permissions file, or such) or if you're about to include a wall-of-text log like the one above. It allows for one to scroll the code and copy it without it taking up the whole page. As for the bug report, the format is good (although missing the information of your last post because what you did is very relevant to your problem) but try to keep everything in one place, it's counterproductive to create multiple threads. I'm pretty sure what you're looking for is here: http://forums.technicpack.net/threads/so-you-want-to-convert-your-world-to-tekkit-3-0.9492/ Do a clean install of a 3.0.4 server. Back-up your world file just in case. Go to that thread and follow it's directions to the letter (you may need to prep your server in Tekkit 2 before attempting the conversion). Report back with what you did and whether or not it solved your problem. Be methodical in your work and document every change you make.
  20. 1. Please put that in proper CODE tags. 2. Before you did the map conversion, did you install the server clean and test to make sure it launched without problems? 3. What method did you use for converting the map (a link to the method you used and notes on any deviations you may have taken would probably be sufficient)? To get the help you need, you'd need to post all the relevant information such as the server logs, notes on operation, etc. That's what the bug reporting format is designed for. Although the log is useful, in and of itself, it does not provide sufficient information (at least not for me). I've been modding for sometime and am not familiar with the errors I see above. If you provide all the information you can (neatly), one of the really good techies or programmers might be able to drop by and give you an answer that would steer you in the right direction. However, unless they have all the info they need, they can only speculate if they decide to invest their time in this thread, understand what I mean?
  21. Ask an admin nicely or wait until they come across it and move it for you. What have you tried? There's a long since dead thread regarding people setting up servers using such software and how they've had to find out the naming scheme for tekkit.jar with their hosts. I believe that those kinds of threads would help you get some information and a possible solution. However, until you post a detailed list of what you tried, in what order, you won't get much help that doesn't rely on luck.
  22. Until you post more useful and relevant information, any actual help you receive that could solve your problem would depend entirely on either luck or telepathy.
  23. Hi, welcome to the single player forums, what's a server? --- http://wiki.phonicuk.com/Using-Bukkit-with-McMyAdmin.ashx If it can run Bukkit, it should be able to run a bukkit-based server (Tekkit). Some of these programs have required users in the past to change the name or tekkit.jar to bukkit-soandso.jar in which bukkit-soandso.jar is the name of the launched jar file when the server installs bukkit itself. In other words, if you use it and install a bukkit server that creates an executable called bukkit-abc123.jar, you may have to rename your tekkit.jar to bukkit-abc123.jar in order to get it to work. Once you've tried it and run into a problem you can't fix or find a solution to, report back (in the appropriate forum). I would also ask nicely for this thread to be moved to the Tekkit SMP forum.
  24. If it compounds like interest, it gets you close. Nevertheless, I've never felt inclined to attempt it much less break down the code or figure out the exact math. I used to use the WoFT in the original EE a lot but now there are much more effective ways, in my opinion, to get EMC without having to spend 568,512 EMC for each watch (SMP included).
