  1. I assume, if the WoFT works in SMP now, it should follow what's stated on the wiki Assuming it works and the chunk in which the watch(es) are located remain loaded, all machines should speed up regardless of location.
  2. What kind of magical solar panels are you using? If you're looking for people to have large solar farms, just remove compact solars. However, be advised your server will eat more resources when it has to process the information for the transfer of energy from the hundreds or thousands of solar panels people decide to deploy. If you're going to use the argument that you want people to have to use the space to get their juice, don't leave LV panels in either.

24Gb or RAM is probably complete overkill for a Tekkit server meant for 20-30 people. However, you internet connection and bandwidth will determine more than the use of CAT 5e cable (although if your router and ISP allow enough bandwidth, good cabling is important).
  4. Pretty sure I read the creator of EE2 slowed down the SMP version of EE2 because servers are on continuously whereas SSP clients are not. I thought it was only 1/4 speed but 1/8 may be accurate (didn't test it).
  5. Can you try to dualboot a 64 bit OS?
  6. "Unsupported major.minor version 51.0" usually means, to paraphrase, 'install java 7'.
  7. Seek help for your severe mental deficiency. They're for different MC versions and, obviously, one doesn't connect to the other.
  8. Just being blunt mate, not trying to bust on you as much as you may think. I hope you find the help and we can get it working because I enjoy that mod myself. However, I'm just not willing to put in the time and effort because I don't enjoy it 'that much'.
  9. Although there may be one or two people on here who may be able to help you, most have told you that it was removed for primarily this reason. It's buggy and will cause issues so if you get it to work without problems, post it up. Otherwise, don't expect anyone to hold your hand through it.
  10. @danidas, no worries mate. Just pointing it out. @twisted, one has to consider context and the type of server you described would and probably should be balanced very differently than other types of servers such as the ones I choose to play on. That's why I agree there should be an option to change the config of EE2 and allow for different types of balance but the current balance is by no means wrong just because it would offer some unfair advantage on certain servers. Also, I would love TC2 to finally go SMP; mostly for the portals but I just love the mod as a whole with as little experience as I have in it.
  11. The bold is correct, it's used to find stuff in your inventory or inventories; the rest is wrong or can be solved more easily. However, the option still exists just double click the search thing at the bottom to go into and out of it. It confused the hell out of me for about 2 hours until I figured that out.
  12. The new developer of EE2 said he/she may work on that to allow server owners to re-balance (at least some items) as they see fit. As for everything else, completely irrelevant. How you see balance is differently from how I see balance and differently from how Joe down the street sees balance. I don't disagree with being able to balance to one's tastes would be a good thing but your suggestions for balance are just that...yours. Therefore, some ideas might be considered great by some and some are terrible whether thought by the same or by others. Also, side note: manner...manor is a type of residence, often a large home in the country.
  13. Don't bump stuff here. There's probably a permission to use it and a recipe addon that stops its production. Pretty sure it's been covered before but I don't remember.
  14. Go into the mod folder and delete EE2 or go into Modloader.cfg and turn it off.
  15. Try a RP2 repeater directly underneath the button with no wiring. Just throwing things against a wall and seeing what sticks. Also, try the repeater with different delays and try the MFSU on the side opposite of the redstone signal (with repeater and without).
  16. What you posted is a pending addon because it's for IC 1.95 and not 1.95b (what's in Tekkit). The author also states it doesn't have SMP support yet but it's planned. It needs to be updated to 1.95b and ported to Tekkit before you can put it on a Tekkit server. Dude, read.
  17. Use the RedPower pump (It'll move source blocks for you)...don't forget to put a roof on it. It's part of RP2 pr5 and it requires these grate things, pipe, and the pump. Search youtube for one of direwolf20's mod spotlights of RP2 pr5 if you get confused about how to use it.
  18. ...or read one of the numerous threads regarding port forwarding, internal and external IPs, and such; then post back with what you've done. In other words, basic troubleshooting.
  19. Pipe logic gates are part of BC3, also SSP only. BC2 is SMP. I hope logistics pipes and BC3 become SMP too and I hope that it'll be easier to create pipe systems that don't drop items and reroute them like tubes do because having items drop out when chests are full is such a pain.
  20. If a building challenge is what you seek, pick a set of wonders ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wonders_of_the_World ) from a period and reproduce all 7. If you want a harder challenge, at least x of them (I recommend 1-2) cannot be made from any material harvested by or that's come in contact with anything EE2 (no EE2 tools, machines, transmuting, etc). You could also place such restrictions on other mods for the list of wonders. If you're looking for a tech challenge, check out some of the challenges in the feed the beast map which is a sky lock with objectives. I recommend the new Feed the Beast Insane challenges because there are more of the and they require some interesting thinking to accomplish.
  21. I can confirm that this problem may sometimes occur and a repeater is often the suggested course of action. It worked for me when I ran across this problem once but I've often been able to just use simple wire.
  22. Or put obsidian pipes or a block of similar function under where it drops items and redirect that to your incinerator. Learning Redpower tubes would probably be better but the aforementioned solution may work for you for an already established system.
  23. No. ModloaderMP doesn't work well with the new Forge. Also, even when installing mods into the new Tekkit and Technic, you don't have to delete META-INF. What that poster meant was that some hosts who install bukkit launch from bukkit-xversion-ysomething.jar; you have to rename tekkit.jar to that file name in order to get it to work properly. This problem has been explained before and I helped someone through it within the last 2 weeks: http://forums.technicpack.net/index.php/topic,11335.msg78178.html#msg78178 Basically, the host has their server set up to launch a specific filename for bukkit installs. If you intall tekkit and rename tekkit.jar to that specific name, you should be ok (although you may run into trouble, many find it works just fine).
