  1. Search on how to path java, try it, and report back. Something tells me that you didn't path java correctly so when you run the java command your computer goes "wtf is java?".
  2. This! First, hit up that thread, it's the best EE discussion I've seen of late. Second, Zeric makes a great point; some people like to build quarries and mine the hell out of everything and that's fine. I, however, prefer to leave as much of my landscape untouched as possible (for aesthetics) and instead build crazy structures, underground automated sorting warehouses, and other such things. In short, I'd rather spend my time building than mining (I am not one of those people that goes to diamond layer with that thing that just mines 16+ blocks in every direction on multiple layers...not that there's anything wrong with that). I spend the first couple of days teching and then building for the rest of the map (I start new maps frequently because sometimes I miss some of that early fight-for-you-life time). In the end, it depends entirely on what kind of server you want and what kind of crowd you want, economics and otherwise. You can assemble a group that wants to grind endlessly for every resource with minimal automation and resource generation or a group that builds epic structures and monuments with little regard for grinding diamonds out of the earth (hell, maybe both). It's your call, mate. Might as well disable solar panels and geothermal generators too since anything that gathers power without direct intervention may be refered to as 'imbalanced' even if it's entirely balanced in a different manner than other machines. It's balanced around EE end-game which is a different balancing curve than most other mods (which is why people complain it's imbalanced). If you're against machines gathering power from sunlight or without the user's direct intervention don't forget to hit several of the IC2 machines as well as RP solar panels and thermopiles (oh no, what will you use for blutricity now?). In short, everyone considers balance differently. If you don't like EE, fine, disable it or the parts of it you disagree with...this is a sandbox after all.
  3. Right. Attaching a relay with material burned in it or using a collector that's part of a flower with a relay between them (not producing anything through another source) should speed up the energy transfer.
  4. This isn't a governing body, it's a private enterprise so your attempts to influence its overall behavior are an asinine attempt at propagating your delusions. Again, private enterprise, "mate," not meant to be a democracy nor do your rantings have any meaning here. Free speech isn't as free as you seem to believe; maybe you should study more (or try fighting for it). So tell me something, 'pops,' how many posts did I make to this thread? Prior to this one, it was one. I checked this thread because I had some time to kill and it was on the main page, couldn't really give less of a shit about you creating multiple accounts to evade bans. I laugh at your interpretation of both the word fallacy (not to say I'm infallible but you assume to be) and evidence since all you've provided is a delusional view of some perverted, self-righteous babble. Really, as with many internet debates, you troll just about as you rationalize your own feeble argument. I hope you find some peace in your dilapidated arguments because the arguments you've posted here are presented as that of a psychopath attempting to redeem oneself with about as much merit. In other words, enjoy your trolling and have a nice day.
  5. try replacing the Optifine smooth (for your version of MC) with Optifine regular (for your version of MC).
  6. Once the new version of Tekkit drops you should get access to the new light sensor in Redpower. But until then, Dragn is on the spot, it's what I use when I want something on during the day and off at night (or vice versa). Just make sure that whatever is taking the power can dump it and doesn't fill up so the solar panel always kicks the juice (not sure if it sends juice when there's no source to receive it).
  7. From your response, it's the pot calling the kettle black. Check here (It's still on the first page, for the love...): http://forums.technicpack.net/index.php/topic,9579.0.html You may have to wade through the abuse the OP brought upon him/herself by bumping a thread and then arguing about it.
  8. Mine uses git-Bukkit-1.1-R4-b19, I think... It's something that pops up in my server window so I assume that's what you meant? If you launch yours and skim through it should tell you.
  9. Those damn football hooligans posting bug reports where they don't belong ;p
  10. Then you may do well here. Other people who don't...not so much.
  11. INFO TO FOLLOW ---------------------- Develop (verb) - 2. start to exist, experience, or possess. http://oxforddictionaries.com/definition/develop?region=us&q=develop As in, the Technic team are currently developing Tekkit 3. That means they work on the installation as well as all the mods therein. From past behavior we can expect them to work at their own pace but have to rely on other entities such as mod developers and those doing the bukkit ports for the server. /info Questions?
  12. "Golden Rule: Ask yourself, "Is my post or reply actually interesting, funny, or contributing to the discussion at hand?" - if not, don't post." http://forums.technicpack.net/index.php/topic,4903.0.html Jay?'s response was at least one of the three. It's because a bunch of dingleberries report mods because 'they're being mean to me for asking a question the answer to which was plastered in the stickies, the homepage, and right above and below the thread I decided to make'. Your grandfather fought against (or for) people mouthing off on the internet? You sure are really mouthy and easy with fascist references but you fail to realize that your inherent ineptitude at following simple directions and overzealous entitlement issues caused the brunt of this. Trust me, anyone telling you to get bent isn't going to elevate you to the level of martyr and you'll be forgotten just as quickly as you arrived. If you want to stay, maybe, just maybe, try to adjust to the community instead of trying to get a community to adjust to you. Try taking things with a grain of salt, for instance. Who are you to skew the interpretation to fit your agenda/argument? Rational? Maybe. Logical? Only within your BHG.
  13. Is your friend logging out at or near any machinery or pipes that become unloaded when he leaves? I looked through it and I'm not familiar with those errors but knowing the circumstances around what causes them to occur (especially if they can be replicated) would give us a better idea of the cause.
  14. Probably not...it uses Thaumcraft 1 and TC1 maps aren't compatible with TC2. You're welcome to try it but the TC1 portals wouldn't work and could cause some weird problems.
  15. Do you have the logs as outlined in all the 'How to report bugs' threads?
  16. Go to the IC2 forum and read the post from the author of advanced machines. All the information you're looking for is in there. I never mess with them and red alloy wire, I just drop a level on the machine itself. As for it draining with power off, could they have been receiving a redstone signal from another source?
  17. The 'problem has been solved' or the 'problems have been solved.'
  18. You're welcome. If that doesn't work, please come back with a bug report in the proper format and we'll help you with any new problems (probably without the attitude). I hope it works for you and happy mining, mate.
  19. Are you using smooth stone instead of cobblestone? They wok fine for me. Have you also tried using NEI recipe mode? Also, don't sign your posts...bad S_poon.
  20. Have you tried reading the sticky in the bug forum that refers to "mod_IC2AdvancedMachines : Unsupported major.minor version 51.0"? If not, go read it; if so, go read it again.
  21. As stated by others, there's more information available that you have chosen not to provide or don't know how to provide properly to allow us to help you. I haven't been 17 in awhile but it'd be nice to go back to that age... And regardless of how long you've been using hamachi, I don't see the point of setting up a tunnel network when you're both on the same network. Just create a normal tekkit server and have your friend connect to your internal/network IP. I don't know about you, but it doesn't make much sense to me to create virtual private networks and use complex systems when you're on the same network already. It's like building a car to drive to the cubicle adjacent to yours.
  22. You're on the same network trying to get hamachi to work? What in the [expletive] for?
  23. I (probably we) hate you too.
  24. Well, I wish to have it as an option. I like the look of some armors over others and while my server has pvp enabled, we don't actually participate in raiding or formal pvp, just a friendly punch once in awhile. I can understand that pvp servers would certainly not want it and that's fine. For SSP and non-PVP server, however, it'd make the people able to customize their appearance without effecting their survivability.
