Pulverize everything as soon as it hits my network. I keep stacks of Sand in all my Smelters, I migrated to smelters because they are faster. I made sure my Mystcraft Quarry age was flat desert so I had plenty of sand on hand. Invar and Electrum I craft as needed, and like I said, I have Smelters set up to smelt the Invar and Electrum Dust, so as fast as I can craft the dust, it's smelted into Ingots. Lead and Copper I pulverize and smelt immediately. All others I have level emitters on to keep around 300 ingots on hand and the rest stay as dust so if I need for Invar or Electrum I have it.

It will only change in newly generated worlds, chuncks etc.
-
Really? I have 5-6 people on my server with just 1gb of RAM and it runs fine.
-
I have a smelter just for electrum dust, and craft it as needed in the MAC. So as the dust is crafted as needed it then immediately is smelted I to ingots. Same with invar.
-
What limit? I craft 1000's as needed.
-
Oh? Thanks, will give that a shot!

May of been me Proto, this is how I have mine set up. Trees grow instantly. http://imgur.com/uVfYWH0

I think it may of been updating to 1.1.5 The last time I tried was before I had updated the server, otherwise as far as I can tell I kept the same set up. Charlie is all jealous because I have 33 filled Energy Cell Frames just laying around though! Now the only thing I need to get working with my network is the Assembly Table...

Please clue me in as to what I'm doing wrong

Grantypoo, the best setup for that is dedicated machines, 1 Pulverizer and 1 Furnace per Ore and Dust. Especially with a couple quarries running. -
http://imgur.com/jHUGvqA I say PAH to your subnet! I got my Energy Cell working just perfectly now :)

Applied Energistics is amazing. I have mine set up to a point now that running around with my Wireless Interface in my base I can request anything I need on the spot, even if I don't have it, I can queue it up to craft 1 to as many as I have materials for on demand. Direwolfs videos are perfect for getting a good start on this mod, but your creativity and time are the only limits! -
Well, I guess you could control the machine...I have mine controlling the BUS so it stops feeding materials into the machine once it reaches a certain level. Your way would probably give you more control over the final number, but you'd have more stuff sitting in the machines instead of on the network.

Yea, Minecraft and Tekkit are not HDD intensive, will use more RAM and CPU. Adding a SSD won't help server performance except maybe when the server is booting or loading.

Point the Level emitter at the Precision Export Bus dwwojcik, easiest to place it over it and use it in place of the cable there. Weir, no I have not posted the screenshots, I took the BUSs off it to stop it and I have not put them back still. Will try and do that today. Yea when I looked in the crafting monitor, the requested number of FULL Cells never decreased, so it wasn't registering them as being made for some reason.
-
Yea, what Proto said, you have power in your armor and gauntlet right?
-
nVidea Card? Playing on a laptop? Server game probably is requiring more memory due to how it preloads chunks.

Took a couple screenshots, but I had it set up the same as my Energy Conduits, and those worked fine. For my Energy I had Magma Crucible on top of my Liquid Transposer with Redstone feeding into it via Export BUS until full. The Liquid redstone then kept the Transposer full of Redstone and ready to go. I then set an ME Interface on the side with the cfrafting pattern of One Empty Energy Cell Frame --> Energy Cell Frame Full. It worked perfectly, however, I noticed shortly there after that it never stopped with just the one, it kept filling them. I ended up having almost a stack of them. The conduits are set up the same, and they work perfectly.

Yes, right in the middle.

I've been able to power four large turbines with one fission reactor. Set up in a cross configuration. The fifth one barely moves though, so may be a coded cap on them or something. Can see my configuration in the post your construction thread.
-
Too many filled, .
-
They are ME Storage Monitors.
-
Conduits I have working, it's the Energy and Tess cells. Well I had the Energy Cell Frames working, but it never stopped making them...I have 54 of them sitting around now before I noticed it kept sending Empty Frames in to be filled.

Gildan, Liquiducts are the way to go, convert now and never go back to waterproof pipes again!!! Charlie, I have a system of Export Bus (Simple and Precision), Import Bus, and ME Interfaces. I'm able to craft anything pretty much except the Filled Energy Cells and Tesseracts. Still working on that one with the subnet ideas from another Thread. Basics are this: 1st for all my ores I have a Pulverizer for each one, and as soon as they hit the network, a Basic Export BUS for that ore feeds it into the BLUE port, and then a Basic Import Bus pulls is back into the network once done. For the ones that don't combine into anything such as lead and copper I have the same set up on a furnace. For ones that do combine I have Precision Exports set up with level emitters to keep my ingots above a certain level. For Electrum and Invar, I have the dust set to Auto smelt similar to Lead and Copper on their own furnaces, and the dust crafting recipe in the CPU, so if I need more Electrum for instance, I just craft a stack of dust and it immediately starts to smelt into ingots. That's the basics, everything else is done via ME Interfaces or in the crafting CPU.

192 Generators? Overkill? I'm running my entire base off 26 Generators and I'm running a Mining Laser Drill!
