Also, you've extracted a new version of B-Team on top of an old one without removing the old mod files. This is the most amazing crashlog I've ever seen in terms of number of things wrong - I'm honestly impressed! It's a genuinely good crashlog to use as an example for people if I ever need to

Try these ancient internet wizard techniques, they should help you (please forgive the sarcasm, but I can't think of a simpler way to explain it and I find it entertaining). Abra Cadabra! Alakazam!

Well well, I didn't realize they'd unlocked the exo armour in this version (I had ruled it out in my testing because when DS first posted in 1.0.8 Exo-armour could only be spawned in due to the fact it's kinda buggy). Actually under closer inpection that's probably a bug too - it's off in the tinker's config and shouldn't be craftable, but it is. Kr0nz, I think he means by using all heart canisters as upgrades, so that way could work "legit" at the moment if you could get 50+ red hearts somehow. Thanks for the info, Maestro - I definitely think it's in the bug category rather than legit though (both the exo armour shouldn't be available and advanced genetics golem gene is supposed to give 5 hearts flat by all descriptions, so giving 90 is unarguably a bug ). I still don't think this is the way DS did it, he had this in 1.0.8 when you couldn't craft exo armour, so either there's another method or he cheated that stuff in (given the red heart requirement I'm leaning towards the latter being likely). I'd be interested to hear your method still if you're around DS - I saw you reading the thread earlier on so come join us, let us know what we've got right or wrong so far

Can you paste your log into the Tracker please and we'll take a look. (links to help are in my sig)

The server is running 1.0.8 - make sure you're using that to connect from the client rather than 1.0.9c. You can pick the version in the cog on the left (under the b-team menu icon), set version to manual and you'll be able to pick in the dropdown list there.

You need a little bit of something molten in there to damage them, just melt down an ingot of iron or something and that'll do it.

Server Crash On Loggin, No Oven on the Server
Loader replied to AHappyPanda's topic in Attack of the B-Team
Why wouldn't it? It's crashing when it's trying to apply an effect of the shockwave entity at 1155.69, 64.00, 783.44 - it might not fix all of your problems but removing that entity will certainly fix that one. -

Open the world in MCEdit, move any players nearby away a bit (miles above an ocean is always hilarious), select the area where the shockwave is and delete all entities in that area. That should sort it -
No, I'm pretty sure he meant to use the spawner to make villagers to melt down for emeralds, Roversword - the autospawner isn't capable of making anything that doesn't go into a safari net. I think he was saying don't trade with them first as if they're not trading anymore they won't drop molten emerald when smelted (I didn't know about that before this thread and it sure does fit with your original problem of not getting any emeralds from smelting a villager).

Turgle, that's 10 (starting hearts), 10 (red heart canisters), 10 (yellow heart canisters) and 5 from iron golem genetics, so 35 total. No-one's been able to suggest anything else that adds hearts. The best hope is gremlin adding some credibility with their unexplained extra hearts, but without replicating it or really knowing where to even begin looking I can't take that as a likely yes (even then, it sounds like a bug rather than legit). The thing that tipped it from bug to lie for me was this progression 1: The original post said more may be possible (which implied this wasn't some bug that's just being repeated ad nauseum - it even suggested this was the max possible with that method) '?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>> 2: After a limited response to the first one, a second one was posted (this one) which had even bigger numbers! 3: DS comes back, offers no further hint, and says he has even more bigger numbers! (this is where it started looking eerily familiar..) That's just my opinion though, and I honestly hope I'm wrong. I might be bitter and jaded but I still like surprises Whatever the case, I'm thoroughly enjoying this thread so far - it's made me delve into parts of Sync and Advanced Genetics I probably wouldn't have bothered to otherwise. Please don't take it personally that I don't believe you DS, it's just pushed past my suspension of disbelief at this point.

You did the right thing dropping the villager in the smelter, as they take damage from whatever's in there they should produce emeralds. You can use an emerald to make a gem cast which you can then fill with molten emerald. Remember also if you find emerald in the world that if you pick it up with a silk touch pick and pulverize it you'll get two emerald instead of one.

Aw man, I wish you hadn't said anything - you had me thinking it could be a bug, now I'm pretty sure it's a lie What's everyone else think? Bug, Lie or Legit?
-
Yeah, it sounds like something's not right in the data you have for sure. If you've tried rolling back to an earlier version and you've tried resetting the pack in the launcher then that's a sensible next step.

What kind of keyboard do you have? Does the ~ key not bring up the favorites menu even? (it should have your own form at least by default).

That's cool If you're looking to minimize size remember that you can feed power into the front of those machines (but nothing else), so if you turned them around and had them feed out to strongboxes (set to public or the machines can't use them) on their back you could have presorted chests in a row in a storage room. Thanks for taking the time to make this!

Please post your logs in the bug tracker and we'll see if there's anything we can do about it (useful links for that are in my sig). You do have RAM - how much is the real question (it's a required minimum component of a computer, without RAM it won't turn on)
-
I meant functionally, every time I used them like that I ended up with leftover materials in the channel, so I just ended up using drains straight to faucets into basins (for blocks) or casting tables (for tools and ingots). I never found a useful way of using the leftovers - I guess you could clear out the entire smeltery by timing it right (and having an ingot cast by a faucet), but if you were going to do that why not just use the faucets onto tables in the first place?

The best way I know is to go through the Platform news list and look just for B-Team stuff; http://www.technicpack.net/news

It's working fine for lots of people Minty, people have been on here talking about how to do things for days (it's rare on any forum for any game that you'll find a post that says "Hey guys, it's working fine. Just posting to say so. Thanks.") Renn, it's probably Java not being the correct version if it's worked before (remove 1.6 and install 1.7) but failing that get the logs and post onto the bug tracker so we can help (links are in my sig that should help with that).
-
Wait no! That's exactly what it will do! It doesn't always lose it if you break another block but if you break the controller it will absolutely lose everything! Breaking the smeltery controller resets it, the reason I suggested it is that if it's not showing up to be taken out there's not a lot else you can do (I had this on 1.0.8 too, so it's not a 1.0.9 thing). You could try using a fluiduct and pumping into a tank first, but failing that I don't have any other suggestions.
-
Uh.. hmm. Uhm.? (I can't think of another way to say that that's any clearer, there's even links in my sig if you need help to get any of that stuff) Edit: I'm assuming you've made sure Java 6 is uninstalled and Java 7 is installed, if you haven't done that based on this thread then do that first.
-
Can you get a crashlog and post it to the B-Team tracker, please? (links to both are in my sig)
-
Or paste the link in the bug tracker, that's usually preferable. This is possibly the same problem with java that lots of people are having but we need the log to be sure.

Which mods does it say you're missing when you try to connect?
