Unfortunately you're on a version of MacOS that doesn't officially support Java 1.7 (Snow Leopard), blame Apple, Oracle, or both (it is kind of both of their fault). You'll have to either go back to B-Team version 1.0.8, upgrade MacOS (the latest version, Mavericks, is free to you if your machine can support it), or find a way to force install the Java 1.7 JDK (it can be done using a package manager like Pacifist).

Wow, hopefully he comes out of hiding for you, but if he doesn't he was probably on a server in the spawn area where it may have protection - if you move away from it (or have OP permission on the server) then it should work fine.

No worries, Server download is here; http://mirror.technicpack.net/Technic/servers/bteam/BTeam_Server_v1.0.9c.zip You'll usually find it on this page; http://www.technicpack.net/attack-of-the-bteam Keep an eye on the launcher for the message that B-Team has a new recommended version, that's the easiest way to tell (it's new and updates a lot at the moment). If you do upgrade the server, the easiest way is to set it up fresh (in its own folder) then copy across your existing world and player folders. That way you don't risk conflicts with different mods you might have forgotten about or config files that are missing info for newer versions of mods, plus you've got your old server just sitting there untouched if anything goes wrong on the new one while you're updating. Once you're happy with the new version, you can just get rid of the old folder and just go back to whatever you were doing for backups otherwise. Have fun!

I honestly loved how clear and concise it was

The server is asking for Galacicraft core 2.0.9, that's the version from B-Team 1.0.8, it was updated to 2.0.10 in B-Team 1.0.9c. You can either connect to the 1.0.8 server by downgrading to the 1.0.8 client, or update the server to 1.0.9c to run with your 1.0.9c client, but they need to match.
-
If you're ok with running on 1.0.8 that is one solution. If you want to run the current version though (for drawbridges, exo armour or the spirit world among other things), try this; '?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>>

He's right if you're running on an old version of java - if you're at the launcher and it just drops you back when you click play, this should fix it (unless for one of a number of other reasons it doesn't, in that case please post logs on the tracker, you can find links in my sig). This is among the top 10 sulituions I've seen for this problem.

Not even close to the same thing this time, andsuu. This is to do with Java having problems starting its VM itself, it's not even getting to the bit that you're thinking of (execution of B-Team code on an old version of java).
-
Andsuu, the problem you've probably 'fixed' is that you're using java 6 (from 2011) rather than java 7. If you don't update, you're likely to run into this kind of problem again in the future. 1.0.8 didn't need java 7, so you got away with it. It's possible that it'll be 'fixed' in the next version, however it's also possible that it'll never be 'fixed' and with Java 8 coming out in less than a week it seems unlikely that people will offer more support to the 2011 version in the future. Arperez, try updating java to version 7 and if you have any trouble after that please post a launcher log on the tracker (info on how is in my sig).
-
Unlikely to be the same problem, Andsuu, but that may fix it (it does mean removing all the files and replacing them with new ones, so it should in theory fix anything short of a bad world). pgskater, something is keeping that file open and you'll need to stop it from doing that if you want to use it. The easiest way to find out I can think of is; 1: Get process explorer from microsoft here; http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb896653.aspx 2: In process explorer up the top you'll see an dropdown for find, pick "Find Handle or DLL" 3: We're looking for a CodeChickenCore.cfg handle, so type that in and hit search. It should come up with the process (program usually) that has it open in the list. Close that process (and let us know what it was!).

attack of the bteam Launcher Problems
Loader replied to TheEmeraldSensei's topic in Attack of the B-Team
I'm beginning to think you're all the same guy, testing to see just how unappealing you can make helping you sound before I give up and won't bother If you've got a bug, please, post with all the information (logs) that you can on the Tracker, believe it or not that is the laziest way for you to get useful help because it means we can probably see the problem straight away rather than having to guess. -
1.0.9c Attack of the B-Team Server (HELP!)
Loader replied to dafro291's topic in Attack of the B-Team
Uninstall 6, yeah You're still running it somehow - Java 6 on MacOS leaves a whole bunch of symlinks all over the place so the OS will often revert to that if it's still installed. If you get the Java7 JDK rather than the JRE it replaces a lot of those, so make sure you get the JDK package for this particular problem. It pretty much only uses Java7 by default on safari. -
This site didn't help? http://www.macobserver.com/tmo/article/uninstall-or-disable-java-on-a-mac What version of MacOS do you have? If you're on Snow Leopard or older (10.6 or lower) then you won't be able to install Java 7 in any easy way, Apple doesn't support it.

Sometimes, that means minecraft is failing to contact the minecraft.net authentication server - it's a minecraft thing, not a B-Team thing. You can usually fix it if it keeps doing it by simply quitting back to the launcher and running the game again.

Everything is kind of in for a reason. I guess; Dragonmounts might use a lot of texture memory (for minecraft) with its dragon skins. But dragons! Tick-wise Witchery, Tinkers Construct and Project|Red are probably the biggest, but all three of those do something really specific (project red are your only source of pipes, tinkers is your best source of tools, witchery is your only choice for magic). You could probably decide something like "I'm doing magic" and remove the techy ones, or "I'm doing tech" and remove the magic ones, but short of that the pack is pretty well put together. The only change I think I'd personally make would be adding thaumcraft to complement witchery (they work nicely together and the golems would fit with the mad-science theme), but thaumcraft tweaks worldgen (so it'd be a lot of work integrating it) as well as being fairly heavy of a mod (and the pack is already pretty heavy), so I'm not sure I'd actually even add it in their situation. That's also the opposite of what you want to do Try it with everything on for a bit, you'll find out what you do and don't use. This really does seem different for everyone, and I probably should've just said that at the beginning. People on my server are doing things from farming, through making factories, through a 'normal' tinkers and combination of factory and magic, witchery fortune telling and magic potion selling, portable bases in airships and ships, taming dragons or horses or just building random stuff with chisel and microblocks. Someone is even collecting trees and flora from natura, biomesoplenty, tropicraft and project|red to build a crazy arboretum thing. I might be able to get away with removing dinos and maybe tropicraft, but if someone was to want to do something in the tropics or if someone wanted to make a Jurassic park repica right now, they could. Almost everything is currently used by people on my server.

Go here and get the 64-bit version of java, it generally won't install it automatically so you need to actually pick it if you want it; https://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp With that installed you should then have higher options available in the launcher.
-
While we're on the topic, the number doesn't matter much - I could have a pack with 50 mods that didn't use much power (a bunch of extra blocks and items maybe) and you might have 5 but use way more processing power than mine if you've got something like logistics pipes on yours.
-
If you've tried resetting the pack and you're sure java's up to date, please post your crashlog in the tracker and I'll take a look.
-
The first thing I would do is update Java - you're running on a version that's about 6 months old (7.0_45-b18), though I don't think that's the problem. The crashlog you've given is the JRE one, it'll be a lot more helpful to have the B-Team one, though it's still got some useful info in it (like that java version). You can find a link to a guide on how to get the B-Team crashlog in my sig. Please get a crashlog and post it to the tracker and I'll take a look (it's easier for everyone on the tracker).
-
Yep, cog in the top right of the screen opens a window that has memory allocation in it. Set it to anywhere from 1.5GB to 3GB for best results (what's best for you could be anywhere in that range).
-
Try resetting your pack first (the cog on the left under the b-team menu icon has that option). If that still doesn't work, please post a launcher log to the tracker and someone (possibly even me!) will take a proper look - links to help with that are in my sig.
-
It's trying to spawn a plane - they've got more mods than standard b-team (they must've added something into flans mod); java.lang.ClassCastException: co.uk.flansmods.common.driveables.EntityPlane cannot be cast to net.minecraft.entity.EntityLivingBase You'll need to find out what they've added and get it for your own client.
-
Yeah, cleverruse is right, a crash log posted on the bug tracker will be the easiest way to help with this (links for both are in my sig).
-
I don't use minions (it was causing me troubles), but that's about it - it's a pretty fun mod though that you should at least try before removing (actually, most stuff in here is like that - I might not use airships but they're fun, I might not use morph but it's fun, I might not use dragonmounts but they're fun..).

attack of the bteam Launcher Problems
Loader replied to TheEmeraldSensei's topic in Attack of the B-Team
The problem he's having is that he's either not reading instructions or he's not listening to instructions, I hope that's not the problem you're having kobeoshie Same to you though, please post up crash or launcher logs on the tracker depending on which you have.
