  1. Try this; 1: Uninstall all the java entries you find in control panel (on windows). You can do this all at once. 2: Restart your computer! Very important that you do this before the next step! 3: After rebooting, install the latest JRE from the website, 32 and 64 bit versions. If you want to know the specifics on why each step, feel free to ask and I'll tell you what we're trying to do or avoid (not everyone cares so I won't bother you with it if you don't).
  2. You have a weird bug I haven't been able to replicate or solve yet, a few people have had this before you. Can you give us any information about your system?
  3. It'd be really helpful if you went through what these do, why you picked them, and why you picked some of them together. I don't understand why you'd have the GC threads limited (to boost stability at the cost of speed I guess) and have the aggressive optimization on (which uses typically unfinished optimization to speed things up at the cost of stability). Using large pages would probably take some load off the CPU at the cost of loading it onto memory and more 'granularity' (not sure if that's the best word there) which likely would result in more memory use overall, so it'd be worth it on say, a laptop with a lot of RAM but a slow CPU (AFAIK it's not on by default except on MacOS and Solaris anyway, and neither of those are known for their speed - it's off by default in most linux distros and Windows). TLDR; You have confused me with your particular selection of options, sir! Please enlighten me as to your intent!
  4. It won't always crash immediately, but it will always crash Blocks that it doesn't succeed in storing like conduits or microblocks it simply removes (though be careful, this allows it to make open-air connections through microblocks - the microblock gets destroyed but everything viable that block was touching still gets picked up).
  5. All of the items you get from the spirit world aren't required for the dreamcatchers in the 1.0.8 version so there's not a lot of reason to want to go there, but what Halestorm says is right, I'm pretty sure it's coming soon.
  6. Based on what I saw when I last looked at Gullivers mod I'd say it's rarely found in other modpacks because it requires a lot of changing to native classes and that can cause all manner of problems for things that extend those classes. StarMinerMOD is having heavy work done on it at the moment to improve inter-mod compatibility, so it might be possible one day with that one, but I wouldn't hold out hope for gullivers.
  7. For my own interest Halestorm, can you try disabling qCraft for a bit and see if that makes any difference (if no-one's using it)?
  8. Chisel Override was added to allow a fix for chisel to take effect, there was some issue with chisel and block incompatibility in earlier versions that it was fixing (dunno if still needed, please let me know if everything is still behaving ok, I'd be interested in that) - especially try things like flans mod.
  9. It's to do with contacting minecraft.net, not B-Team related as far as I could tell. Set the server mode to online=false if possible in server properties (only really practicable on a private server not many people know about) and that means it won't do the check that gives that message.
  10. Most buildcraft functions are replaced - what specifically are you looking for?
  11. 5: I read your post, but can't see any specific information that could help me pick the problem. 6: I ask you for the crash log file. 7: I tell you the crash log file is found by clicking the gear in the top right and choosing the logs button. 8: I suggest you get the latest both client and server crash logs and post them to http://pastebin.com/ 9: I wait to hear more with bated breath.
  12. Relax, breathe there buddy, we'll get to the bottom of this Try this; 1: Open the folder %AppData%/.technic/modpacks/attack-of-the-bteam/saves/mapwriter_mp_worlds/198_24_147_174_25565 2: There's a file in there called mapwriter.cfg, rename it to something else or move it out of there. 3: Try running the game again.
  13. Mods folder, it should create the config folder itself. There should be installation instructions with it somewhere - they'll probably have information on all the other plugin parts of that system that might interest you (I know there's one for altering treasure from chests and monster drops for example, but there's no doubt more).
  14. Uh, ok, I'm not sure what you mean so please don't be offended if I've misunderstood, but let me try and be clearer. CoFH is a team that makes mods - Thermal Expansion is probably what they're best known for, but they have other mods. One, part of the CoFH Core mods, is capable of taking all the different ores from different mods and combining them into a single system for world generation so you don't just get ores in other ores all over the place. It's got a bunch of controls about what ores it spawns where, this is stored in a config file called WorldCustomGen.TXT in The Attack Of The B-Team modpack. Changing settings in there lets you determine what ores will spawn where. This will allow you to have 'Crazy Ore Generation' (I'm not quite sure what you mean by that either, but I assumed you just meant like the B-Team ore generation). Does that clear anything up?
  15. I'm don't have any affiliation with the mod so I can't say for certain, but the rules say not to and that it's because with your name on the side of your posts it's kind of redundant, so that's why I mentioned it It's an easy one to miss, early on in the list and a minor thing. Glad you fixed it! How did you get near the oven with a pickaxe if you don't mind my asking? (other people who've had this problem haven't been able to get near to the oven without crashing)
  16. Lol I'm not sure where the line is, I figured politely informing a person and reminding them to read the rules would be the best way to go, it certainly doesn't feel anything like moderating in my experience of it (I'd say maybe I'd been unlucky, but I stumbled upon the whale forum yesterday so I don't think my experience was anything unusual). I hadn't even considered reminding someone to read the rules to be seen as moderating though before you mentioned it and I looked back at this post, now I'm not so sure, perhaps a mod could provide some clarity on this?
  17. Yeesh, maybe backup and try 1.0.9a as a test then? Probably worth a shot to see if you should worry about it too much?
  18. I think CoFH Core does that in AotBT (worldcustomgen.txt in the config/cofh folder).
  19. This is what happens when morph isn't running on the server, the client gets all the menu options as usual but doesn't actually have any choices in them at all, so I'd guess it's not actually installed or running on the server properly.
  20. Tinker's construct settings are in a file called TinkersWorkshop.txt in %AppData%.technicmodpacksattack-of-the-bteamconfig I'm afraid I don't know much about the way the modpacks work here (I've never tried to use this distribution system before), submitting by private sounds like the kind of thing that you need special permissions to access (most places have public which I'd be able to see, hidden which would be accessible if you knew the link and private which is hidden and only available to people with the right setup, so it may be like that here, I don't know). I don't know what post or guy it was that was offering to help either, I'm afraid. Hopefully someone who sees this has a suggestion.
  21. The changes will mostly be bugfixes, Flans mod is modular, so Flans mod itself is basically the thing that everything else goes on top of. Flans Mod (allows the special vehicle movement and has a generic set of inventories and things for aircraft/cars/planes, but no actual vehicles or weapons). Flans Simple Parts Pack (this is all the wings and things that you'll see in NEI and the vehicle crafting station. It's required as a base for a lot of packs, in B-Team's case, the titan). Flans Modern Weapons Pack (this is the one the guns come from, as well as the gun box and workbench). Flans Titan Pack (this is the one that adds the titans, as well as their inventory). You can see that this update only effects the first one - so maybe a speed improvement and hopefully some bug fixes (some people were crashing in gun workbenches, others with titans falling with obsidian boots etc.).
  22. I've seen this before when they're touching some microblocks (seems to try to feed power into some of them), have you tried making sure the conduit is free of microblocks on all sides?
  23. Actually Skuli's suggestion was better than mine. For future users using search if you just remove the or rename .CFG file itself you'll keep the map but lose the waypoints which might be preferable depending on your situation. The same applies in reverse, if you have a bad map saved but want to try to keep the waypoints remove everything except the .CFG file and it'll keep them while rebuilding the map.
  24. You have a broken oven on the map, you and Squirtle are probably both close to it so as soon as you join in the server loads it and crashes. Price isn't near it, so he's fine until one of you loads in near the oven and knocks the server over. It's at -1699,63,1733 on your map, and you'll need to use a program like MCEdit to delete it. In future, be careful about putting anything into the oven that it can't cook (it can only cook vanilla minecraft food). Welcome to the forums, please don't sign off your posts and please read the forum rules (you've broken one accidentally already).
  25. You can safely delete the world folder in the mapwriter worlds, you'll lose your map and waypoints but it'll rebuild a new one. I'd rename the folder (176_31_28_3_25565) just to try it first, then try joining again.
