  1. Ok, well the other option is to watch that other thread and see what comes out of it. (You're right that it's not the 1.2 thing, I've been on minecraft since before they called it alpha and it's never been an issue for me - before monsters in multiplayer, stairs and slabs!). Edit: Just looked up my first multiplayer world, December 2010 Looks like the earliest singleplayer world I backed up was from July 2010 which is just after alpha though, shame I've got no infdev stuff left.
  2. I can't see anything specific there (it was working in worldedit, but with essentials and towny it'd always be working with worldedit so that's no surprise). Do you have a client log from when it crashed? Did it crash you out in the client or just drop you with a server disconnect?
  3. That's great, there's a lot of info there - for example Win7 Home Premium x64 can only address 16GB of RAM (so the version is important, Professional and up can address 192GB RAM and Basic can address less - that kind of thing does matter as now we can rule it out). Software is 64-bit, which is great news (it means we can access all that RAM), but also bad news (we're not accessing even a 32-bit space, so something is wrong). That means that large contiguous blocks should be free in there, so getting 1GB for minecraft in 32-bit shouldn't be a problem (or 1.5, but you haven't said which you have picked). That means you've likely got a problem like the guy in this thread; '?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>> where the amount of RAM he's allocating in the launcher isn't fully going to minecraft. The problem that's happening there I haven't worked out or seen a fix for yet, so the next step is we try minecraft in 64-bit and get an error log so I can tell you why it's not working (if we can fix that, the 64-bit version might not have this problem), so I think that's the obvious next step for solving this as you do kind of want to use the 64-bit version anyway, right?.
  4. I understand you're frustrated, but I don't think you're reading what I'm saying properly. I know you physically have 8GB RAM. That doesn't mean anything for how the computer can address it. I think you've set 1GB memory allocation in the launcher. You have not said that clearly - your last post is the closest, but is still only an implication. You said "Higher than 32-bit allows", which, assuming windows and not mac (you haven't said Windows either) is 1.5GB. I find it unlikely that you've got one of the systems set up so it can get that option, so it's probably 1GB. You have a 64-bit system, you may mean physically rather than software (a computer can have 8GB ram and a 64-bit capable set of hardware and still run at 32 bit). We need to check that it's not 32-bit in software (that's what I gave you the shortcut to Computer properties is for, if you could screenshot that it'd answer most of these questions). I can't help if you don't answer questions. If I've missed where you said Windows (and what version including whether 32 or 64 bit), where you said 1GB is set in the launcher or any of those things, please quote them for me to highlight them because I really don't see them.
  5. B is the key for the Galactic Map (which is kind of more of a solar system map, but that name sounds cooler) in Galacticraft. You'll need to unset that in the keybindings for galacticraft core as well, then it'll work.
  6. It could be a lot of things - can you post the server crash log to pastebin? (I'm not sure if I'll be able to help, but I'll take a quick look)
  7. If you're using a singleplayer world then you can simply start another with the same name, it should find and repair the old world for you (they're not gone generally, you can find them in the folders and fix it with MCEdit sometimes alternatively). I've only had this happen to me with singleplayer worlds, have you noticed any sort of correlation with things you're doing and world-hiding crashes?
  8. Hi Konman, Please post in here so the right people see it (the most technical guys are usually watching the Tracker more than the forums) http://forums.technicpack.net/tracker/project-4-attack-of-the-b-team/ Can you also post the client log into pastebin for us? My current guess is that's where the best info will come from.
  9. Aha, yep.. so how high is it set? 1GB? 1.5GB? These are both possible settings on 32-bit, I wasn't expecting it to be such a difficult question. Minecraft needs contiguous space in memory, that's easier to achieve in a 32-bit system without such programs open. If you've got a 32-bit windows installation then it's possible you've got 4GB of address space available, -whatever address space your graphics card and other peripherals use (so a 1GB graphics card means 3GB addressable left), with windows loaded into memory with all drivers that's another 1GBish which leaves 2GBish free for minecraft and other programs. When you've got other stuff like web browsers in there, it might only be able to find a smaller chunk of contiguous memory (like, say 727MBish). When you restart your computer and the memory space is clean, you have a better chance of getting a larger chunk. Through this reasoning I'd say you've got some kind of 32-bit windows installation, with 1GB set in the launcher (that's as high as you can set it) and it's only allocating a fraction of that. These are all things you could've told me (and can still confirm), use the Windows key and Pause-Break key to bring up computer properties and it'll tell you how much RAM you have, how much is accessible, what version of Windows you have and whether it's the 32 or 64 bit version, this is all useful information for identifying the problem. I've had similar to this before where people think they can 'trick' me into fixing things (that's not what you're doing, just as an example). So you know, the process is simple and mechanical, and it goes like this; 1: Identify Problem 2: Test to confirm problem 3: Apply solution to problem (sometimes you skip 2 if it's just as quick to try a solution). 4: Done! Without step 1, there can be no solution. Remember too that the problem isn't the end result, it's the cause; "My car won't start" - Symptom, not the problem "You've got no petrol." - Problem "My car won't start" - Symptom "That's a horse, stop stabbing it with that key" - Problem I'm not trying to be mean, just trying to explain why I'm after certain specific bits of information (to find the problem).
  10. It's easy to do, you've probably clicked personalize in the hats menu and changed the keybinding, it's here where it says H at the top, probably you've set that to LMB;
  11. I'm afraid most of these are known bugs with optifine not playing nice, please contact them and let them know about this as well if you want a fix (you might be lucky here if someone is using it same as you, but it's not officially supported so most people won't have it or be able to help with it here).
  12. I've seen that before in this thread, we never got to the bottom of it because the guy disappeared and didn't put it in the bug reporter; Topic we talked in, take a look at the latest video and see if that looks the same as what you have; Please post here so the right people can look at it; http://forums.technicpack.net/tracker/project-1-technic-launcher/ Or here if it's only happening with B-Team; http://forums.technicpack.net/tracker/project-4-attack-of-the-b-team/ Please also post your logfile to pastebin (go into settings where you set the ram and there's a logs button) so we can check that too.
  13. This is a known bug and it should be fixed in the next version (it's being tested right now as we speak). It's a galacticraft bug, not a modpack bug. To work around it, you can use the TE dynamos and conduits in the meanwhile.
  14. That's awesome Love the style of yours Halestorm, especially Charles and the gussied up smeltery (I've never tried to pretty it up, it never occurred to me). It might be of use to know you can make another kind of seared brick with nether materials now, or make seared stone in the smeltery itself to use, those might help if you're looking to change the look. Hafsteinnd, that's neat - don't forget about the carpenter's slopes and collapsible blocks though for the roof if you don't want to use stairs (slopes are a flat 45 degree angle that'll make most roofing easy, the collapsible blocks can be tilted into whatever shape you need to fill in stuff that doesn't work with slopes). Here's my server at the moment; http://imgur.com/a/SWant#0
  15. They used Mystcraft linking books What bwillb said will definitely be easiest though, you'll need a couple of portal modifiers, a couple of dimensional upgrades and 10 or so obsidian and that'll do you.
  16. That gives a little more info, but my best bet is still out of memory so hopefully that's sorted it (it's failing to access something that should be there which maybe has been swapped out if memory is low, so it doesn't point to much more specifically). Course, the timestamp on that is after 1AM, so maybe it's trying to tell you to take a break? (I can't talk, I've been on here later than that to help people in different timezones and that's not even playing the game )
  17. That's one of the ones I mean, Stone You should have a client one as well that will give us the rest of the detail (and please put those in these so they don't cause pages upon pages for people to read) It looks very likely that you've not got enough memory allocated though, please allocate more in the launcher (2GB is a nice round number if possible).
  18. 1: Extract the dependancies.info file from codechickencore 0.9.0.7.jar 2: Make the changes I suggested to dependancies.info 3: put the dependancies.info file back in codechickencore 0.9.0.7.jar If you do that, it'll be impossible to get the error message you're getting, you've missed one of those things (probably 3 if it looks the other bits are correct to you). Even if it doesn't work, the error message will be different so something is wrong, just try again to follow those steps.
  19. Without a logfile, no-one can offer any help beyond speculation I'm afraid, Stone - that's the point I was really trying to make.
  20. Witchery's poppet shelves also keep chunks loaded, that might be easier to do. Of course, the server admin can set a maximum number of chunks that can be loaded for each active player, so it might make no difference.
  21. You might not be aware that double-posting is rude, Monstar, but deliberately doing it multiple times within a few minutes in an active thread I don't even know how to respond to. In answer to your question, Yes, there are absolutely ways of stopping it from happening. I'll need a less vague set of info from you (preferably the log) to give you a less vague answer.
  22. Uh, Ebear - MCPC+ isn't a standard part of this pack so it's likely that the people who are testing will be either not using it (to stay close to the standard for this test) or using it but watching it closely. More importantly though, you've misread those variables in the YAML file, those are merely the logging of chunks unloading being off by default, not the actual chunks unloading (if that was off, you'd run out of memory in minutes on most systems as soon as someone started wandering around).
  23. Please post in here as it's a technical issue rather than gameplay related so the right people will see it; http://forums.technicpack.net/tracker/project-4-attack-of-the-b-team/ We'll need your logfile from the crash, to get that click the cog in the top right of the launcher (settings) and you'll see a button called logs, click that and it'll open a folder where you can get the latest log for us.
  24. FYI I'll usually miss stuff if it's in here, there's a forum specifically for LPs that make these easier to find; http://forums.technicpack.net/forum/34-lets-play-pavillion/
