Use winepaint (the copy of MSpaint that comes with wine) or something like Kpaint or whatever the GTK one is called or one of the 1000 other free paint clones.

Not needed, the mods here will quickly lock and whale box (or recycle) topics that are not allowed. They will also make funny post before they do. From what I heard modders against technic will just tell you (or at least told kakermix) to keep his dirty money. I think that whole "illegal" modpack isn't of much butt hurt anymore. It's just part of the history of the pack and is mostly a none issue. You can look about the forums and find some discussion of if the pack is truly illegal and some history, and likely some Kellers getting punished too. Just donate to the mods you like like jakj said, most the people still bitter at the pack will likely just decline the donation or send you a rant about how the pack is bad. Also Flower Child and his BTW get brought up because they are the poster child of the anti-technic movement. (And yes the back did not get permission originally and there was a rather "heated" letter from kakermiix in it.)

I'm on Comcast too (when i'm not on campus... i forget the campus provider). Went like 7gigs over the limit one month last year. It was because I was torrenting lots of Linux distros (and some grey area stuff I will not discuss here. Can't torrent on campus because of pirates arrrrrrrgh). Other then that managed to remain under that cap. But the cap is annoying. My phone is getting a 2.5gb cap this month which kind of ticks me off... I mean those are hard to break unless you use it a lot, but I'm still not a fan of data caps. I don't doubt Comcast might be lying about when the cap was instituted, I don't think the have the good of a rep for being completely honest.

Through a few more dutch centric things on it, repackage and see if you can just a forum to whine about you making another "Blackbird". I managed to do it using a vaporware Linux distro 0_0 (they figured it would be Ubuntu with the gimp and a custom firefox. Since then have a really strong urge to make the that browser.) Oh and recently tried scriptmonkey for Firefox, seems quite handy. Got awfulvision and the ad.fly (and the likes) bypasser userscripts installed.

Yeah, GNUrecordmydesktop (or something like that) worked good for me... Heck, look up HAK5's video on how to just use the X windowing system to record your desktop. Think Nixie Pixel also did a video about what she uses to record her desktop. Note that you should play around with the FPS recording setting till you get it to record at a good quality.

DownThemAll for Firefox. I like to getting faster download speeds and being able to download multiple things at the same time by just selecting entities from a list. Adblocker and useragents for firefox and chrome are a close second. Why? Because screw annoying ads and "This browser only" pages. Plus you can get into some places for free when dressed as googlebot.

Yeah. Their are a few high-speed ones in the States, but they are only in certain areas and require you pay out the wazoo for them or be a corporate entity. I remember thinking 25 mb/s was like the highest you could go since that was the "Super duper mega fast ultra fantastic premium service pack" for most ISPs here. Then I learn their or 100mb/s connections out there and that is not even the max or a "top secret corporate only" tier.
