Why Mekanism will not feature BuildCraft integration for 1.6
theprolo replied to aidancbrady's topic in Mod Makers Market
Wait, so not only is CJ breaking things with his own mod (*cough*trailblocks*cough*), he's now also breaking things through others too? When will the killing screwups end? -
[1.6.x/1.5.x] Redstone In Motion (Redpower Frames) 2.3.0.0 (October 8)

How about just making it so a specific carriage (template?) will carry them? I think a Template one would probably work fine for this, especially if you can connect the template motor to other motors like suggested on the last page, or something similar. -
Muse die in your attempt to trap them so they can make a super massive black hole. A giant, floating lightbulb lands on your house and crushes you. ( ) I wish I had a pet robot.

Starmade revelations: 1.Every time I make a new ship, I think "holy crap, this thing is massive!", then about 30 minutes later start work on one 10N times bigger. I'm currently working on a model of the Destiny from SGU. 2.The moment you realise nobody cares if you eat space stations is the moment you become powerful 3.Damn, those ice crystals are pretty 4.Missiles make pretty fireworks 5.That galaxy map is confusing .-.

Those look awesome, nice job! -
I did expect them to have put out a dev release of some sort by now if fixes are available, but without any information from them about that there's no way to know what's holding them up. They're probably waiting on a specific bug to be fixed, such as the BetterDungeons crashes if they haven't been fixed already, but of course I can't say that for certain. There's not much point releasing a build if they know it's broken, though. Just to point out by the way, Latest is the equivalent of a Beta version - when they put one of those out, there's your beta.
-
Well, this build worked pretty much fine for them, and look how that went. Just because the errors aren't as obvious doesn't mean that they're not worth finding and fixing. You're still being hypocritical. You're first post undermines your entire argument.

You get a pokeball, but no Pokemon come with it. You go to prison for assaulting many people's pets by throwing a strange red and white ball at them, because you didn't realise that it only works on other people's pokemon, not pets. [Pokenerd]It's called a Sniper Ball, IIRC[/pokenerd] I wish that I could remember random trivia (as well as normal memory)

I've heard of a hotfix, and fully comprehend its meaning. You, on the other hand, seem to be unable to understand that nothing is perfect, especially when it comes to amateur mods created in people's free time for free. Just because one bug is fixed, doesn't mean another hasn't been created. Here's a little example of what you want to happen: http://www.technicpack.net/article/view/version-139-now-recommended-and-what-the-heck-happened.27 Face it, if they did what you're asking and another bug appeared, you'd be straight to the forums complaining that they never test, but now they're actually testing stuff, you're instantly complaining that they're not pushing updates the moment a mod update appears. You're being hypocritical and can't even admit it, instead resorting to pointless, baseless and useless insults to hide it. That's not an argument, that's you throwing insults in an attempt to make it look like you have the upper hand.
-
So, basically you're being complaining about what you're asking for then? "WHY DON'T YOU TEST IT BEFORE GIVING IT TO US!!!!1!1!1!!!1one!!!!!" "OMG THESE MODS WERE UPDATED LIKE 3 HOURS AGO WHY HAVEN'T YOU UPDATED YET!!!!exclamationmarks!!!!!!" Seriously though, you're completely contrasting what you've already said, just because the alternative appears to suit you more now. The Technic team have already discovered the problems involved in pushing updates without testing, look at Big Dig 1.3.9. They're not pushing updates as soon as they get released because they're doing exactly what you asked for at the start of this thread. And now you complain about it. Good job.

I need help with this geothermal generator

The batbox is facing the wrong way. Use a wrench to switch the output(the dot) towards the wires going to the machines. -
I think MPS might be incompatible with Optifine, because it changes the rendering.

The Technic Launcher.

Tekkit Classic. You don't have to type in bold all the time by the way, I can read normal text fine.

There's no EMC value because there's no EMC. EE2 stopped development in MC 1.2.5 - and EMC has gone with it. For now, at least.

Could be those buggy, useless trail blocks which break *Everything*. They're probably connecting your frames to the ground in their eternal useless crappiness. -
Can he host a Vanilla Minecraft server? If not, the port forwarding might not have been done properly.
-
I've been checking this one out with my friends, and it really is pretty fun. I kinda thought it would just be a Minecraft clone at first, but it does add plenty of unique features and works nicely (assuming you don't put everything too close to your core - that can send you a long way away...)
-
I didn't even realise that that was a real number. Please tell me he was trolling...

If you don't want worldgen, don't use Hexxit basically. If you're going to try removing all the mods which include worldgen, then you're going to end up with a pretty near Vanilla server. Of course it'll lag with over 50 people generating world - there's not much anyone can do about that other than restrict the world (which is a bad idea on Hexxit). I'd say it's more geared towards small groups playing as a team than vast amounts of random people adventuring alone into every single direction possible, and there's very little you can do to change that with this much worldgen. And if so many people are raging at DimDoors because they get stuck in limbo, then why don't you just tell them how to get out? There are probably plenty of Bukkit plugins which could teleport anyone entering that dimension out, too. You should really be a bit more creative with your solutions than "Hey something isn't working perfectly in a heavily modded java program! DELETE". And you're complaining about people making infinite food from soul shards? Really? Did you ban planters and harvesters on your Tekkit server or something? It's basically the same thing, just with animals and no automated collection. Again - it's a smaller server based pack. If you're trying to run Hexxit with large amounts of people, removing it does make sense to reduce entities - but that's no reason that people playing on smaller servers should have to have their experience suffer just to please people who the pack isn't even aimed at. As for testing, chances are there'll always be at least one bug which doesn't get squashed, especially if you're modifying it even further (MCPC+). If you have so many people on your server, you're far more likely to find one of these bugs than a couple of people messing around with it just before release to check for any problems.

Yogurt Land reopens, but the new owner is a yogurt-obsessed maniac who hoards yogurt (frozen and melted) instead of selling it. Within days, there is no yogurt left anywhere else in the world except for Obama's private yogurt stash. You starve to death because your craving for yogurt prevents you from eating anything else. I wish for a big spaceship several lightyears away.
-
You mean the modding api they were meant to have started before Beta (I think that was when, a long time ago anyways)? I guess we really should give them credit for working so fast.
-
This is basically one of the most terrible bug reports ever, so I'd recommend making your own thread - without the mistakes that the OP here did. You're more likely to get an answer that way. Hint: it's not the launcher's fault. Don't blame the Technic team like this guy did...
-
It will work client-side without changing them on the client, just the server. The result of the recipe just won't show up until you click in the craft slot.

Nice to see a Poni with self esteem. Does it get really angry and explode when someone insults it?
