  1. WorldEdit has a command to spawn in forests, if that helps...
  2. I don't think the mod patches are all for 128x, so you might have trouble getting your 128x texture pack to work properly.
  3. Ok, I'll make myself a suggestions thread and hope it works :)
  4. Maybe we should create an album of alternatives to this like the Pokemon one I vote Star Tekkit!
  5. Too true... Did they redefine RPG to something else? Perhaps RPG stands for Random Pornographic Game or something now? Either that or the only way they get players is by trying to make people think their game is something...else.
  6. It should also be noted that hacking life to up your Java Wizardy level can cause severe problems and potentially crash your life. If you manage to not crash, the CIA are likely to count you as a threat and arrest you. Remember, hacking life was made a crime punishable by a ban until the year 9999 in a secret government vote made in 1998, at the same time as cracking life was made illegal.
  7. If you want to make a Bukkit server, why are you asking here? This is the Tekkit forum, not the Bukkit forum...
  8. The first reply told you how to make it. Use google to find out how to port forward minecraft.
  9. Spawners should work fine. I think spawning in a spawned can be a bit buggy, and perhaps however you moved it(if you did) caused it to reset to pig.
  10. Don't double post, it won't make any difference. Use the edit button, or at least add something useful. Those aren't errors. The word fine usually means good... That's your server telling you the mods are loaded and ready to play etc. Nope, there's no way to get rid of them short of decompiling the mods to remove the debug code as far as I know. What's the problem with knowing your server's working, anyway?
  11. Tekkit is a Bukkit server itself. And no, unless you use Himachi or a similar program, or have a terrible firewall, you need to port forward.
  12. The Tekkit team don't make the mods. They're not sitting on their asses doing nothing and being lazy, they need the mod makers to make the mods. Don't ask when it will be updated, you'll only be banned.
  13. Or you could just use a whitelist to stop random people getting on. Or even just not tell random people the IP. They can't grief you if they don't know your IP. Port forwarding is safer than Himachi, since if anyone in your Himachi network has a virus you all get it.
  14. You need to use these: http://mcportcentral.co.za/wiki/index.php?title=Ports_for_1.2.5 Put the mod in the mods folder. Mo' creatures is a bit buggy in SMP. No idea about the others. If a mod isn't there, you can't use it.
  15. Here's one someone already put together, which can just be put into the textures folder. http://forums.technicpack.net/threads/64x-sphax-purebdcraft-tekkit-3-1-technic-7-2-balkoons-weapons.910/
  16. Yeah, he's off to a place where people will believe him rather than instantly see through it.
  17. Does this mean we're getting a custom modpack for the server? If so, please make a suggestions thread. I'm assuming that until Redpower is updated we'll be in 1.2.5 still
  18. Don't worry about that, just ignore it. That's one of the mods which has versions above the Tekkit one. It also has nothing to do with the original question, so next time can you check what the post is actually about?
  19. Maybe it's one of the strange features of frame motors, like the Slenderworm which crashes anyone near it, but only if they're looking at it...
  20. Dark lord of dark stuff

  21. I don't think you'll be able to save your world unless you find a way to reload the chunks, otherwise you won't have any ores in chunks loaded before. Other than that, as long as your server is for Minecraft 1.2.5 you can just the plugins and map across.
  22. Tekkit IS a Bukkit server, it just has mods on it.
  23. Basically, the launcher, which you download from the site, can download the mods automatically. This means that when Tekkit updates, your Tekkit will update itself as soon as you start it up. If you haven't changed anything, your Tekkit should be on the Reccomended build of Tekkit. However, there is another version of Tekkit which isn't Reccomended yet. You can switch to this build in the options, look for the Dev build. Don't worry, it's extremely stable for a Development build, so you shouldn't run into any problems.
  24. To be honest, I'd be rather amazed if that suggestion hadn't already been made. It would be hugely helpful for Inchworm drives.
  25. If you have a bit of time and the resources, you could carry a generator around with you, then pull it up when you're done with it. Could be wasteful though.
