  1. No it doesn't. Technic is intended for SSP, Tekkit for SMP. But don't go around spewing lies that playing SSP in Tekkit will actually cause "unintended" stuff. It works just fine.
  2. You could not have been more wrong. Metric actually measures it in Kwh. At least that's the one which actually makes sense. We hardly know what a joule is here. Joules is the amount of energy in a food product here, nothing to do with electricity.
  3. Sorry for the bump, but I'm having the same problem. It's got to do with the RedstoneEther folder which gets left behind. I can't remove it, so I have to continuously restart Technic to get a good world.
  4. Really, it's your own fault for not keeping up with Java Updates. Java 1.7 isn't even a Beta anymore. It's been an official, recommended release for months. If it really bothers you, then recompile it yourself or delete it.
  5. All of you should stop complaining about exploits in EE. EE IS one huge exploit. It's up to you/the server owner whether to use it or not. IMO, allowing UU-Matter from Solar Energy but not allowing dark rooms/blaze rod macerators, yet allowing Collectors is just plain retarded.
  6. True, true. But trust me, 8 players with 64 solar panels each is going to lag A LOT more than 8 players with 1 MV Array each. It really helps in SMP. Not sure why people would play Tekkit in SSP, though. There's Technic for that. The point is that transformers aren't very expensive, and converting panels to arrays will basically make it easier to move stuff around.
  7. They are more compact, though. And because the packet size is larger, you can carry them longer distances without losing all of it.
  8. People have had this discussion before. Disabling compact solars is a bad idea. People want massive amounts of solar, they'll make massive amounts of solar. They'll probably spam Solar Panels everywhere and wire them up. What would cause more lag, you think? A single MV Array producing 64 EU/t, or 64 Solar Panels, all wired together, and all of them have to be processed by the server, along with the energy losses which also have to be calculated?
  9. I'm having the same problem, even though EE had all these updates. My greaves show up as some sort of sleeveless chestplate, and my legs aren't covered, which looks amazingly horrible.
  10. Do you even know how much Geothermal Generators output? 20. 20 EU/p. Between the machine needing it, and the Geothermal Generator, is exactly ONE piece of cable. One. Even if the loss was rounded up, it should still be receiving 19 EU/t. So it's not energy loss.
  11. I think just removing the "if (ironDust != null)" stuff works better. If it's that easy to add new macerator recipes, then why doesn't the mod creator do that instead of writing his own code that IC2 apparently isn't even compatible with?
  12. Something interesting to note, if you put Nether Iron in a Rotary Macerator, it appears to work. However, when you try to retrieve the iron dust, it suddenly glitches back into the Nether Iron it used to be. So it doesn't really macerate, it just appears to in a Rotary Macerator. Normal Macerators will not start the process at all.
  13. Not a bug, but a feature. The ring needs fuel to work. So get some glowstone, redstone or a Klein Star, and it'll use energy from that. It's an SMP bug that it didn't require fuel at first.
  14. Electrolyzers are very annoying, and will only start accepting energy if the MFE or MFSU in question is almost completely full. Yes, really.
  15. Same problem. Pedestals simply do not work, not even with a Talisman of Repair. The items work fine in chests, though.
  16. I'm connecting it using Copper Cables. The Geothermal Generator is connected to a Charging Bench, Extractor, Macerator, Electric Furnace and Compressor. There's also a regular generator on the same cable network.
  17. Title: Geothermal Generators not working Version: 3.1.1 OS: Windows 7 Professional 64-Bit Java Version: 1.7.0_014 Description of Problem: I fill my geothermal generators using lava cells. They do not seem to produce or transfer any energy, unless something else is also transmitting power on the same network (Such as Generators and reversed charging benches). Error Messages: Error Log:
  18. Sorry for the small bump, but I'm having the exact same problem. This is quite a problem, as I'm trying to let a friend follow the achievement line of Industrialcraft to get started, but it can't go anywhere if Better Than Iron isn't unlocking.
  19. How are Optifine and NEI (Recipe helper) related in any way? Are you sure that you haven't been hit on the head as a child?
  20. Launcher Version: 1.0.1.3 Operating System: Windows 7 Professional 64-Bit Java Version: 1.7.0_14 Antivirus Program: When I try to start Tekkit, the window is titled "Tekkit", but is really vanilla Minecraft. Description of Problem: When I try to start Tekkit, the window is titled "Tekkit", but is really vanilla Minecraft. Error Messages: Error Log:
  21. This isn't possible without a hacked client of some sort, so don't expect anyone here to approve of it. At all. You'll just have to retry until the servers work.
  22. I've searched the entire forum, but came up with nothing for this. How do I enable the Automatic Crafting Table MKII on my server? If people try to craft it, it briefly appears as result, but then immediately disappears.
  23. Alright, so I've got an item retrieving system set up like this, as test: My only problem is that the Retriever in the middle over there won't retrieve my items. If I rotate it the wrong way and pull the lever, it seems to at least try to retrieve (The block's texture changes a little), but when it's rotated the right way, it does nothing. I have tried the same setup with a Filter right next to the chest, and that seems to work just fine. No idea why this doesn't work. Any ideas?
  24. The reason a lot of people treat you like you're stupid (Which I'm not going to deny) is because we have told you multiple times how to disable it. Simply disable crafting those things with RecipeManager or DisableCraft. If you don't want that, then fine. Someone was even nice enough to give you a link to Disablecraft. It's either that or disabling Compact Solars altogether.
