  1. I looked at beastnode some time ago looking for a sponsor. I know there's a how-to either in their knowledgebase or their forums. I suggest you poke around their documentation, it's there.
  2. Yeah, we don't WorldEdit much, but have had an instance or two where everyone on the server was booted for 5 seconds while the server caught up to the edit. Still no insight to the above error. Posted it over on the CB++ thread some time ago (like the error text requests) but of course, like most error reports over there, I haven't gotten any response.
  3. Gah, getting the errors with CB-- as well. The errors that dump aren't specific enough for me to troubleshoot on my own. Getting exact same issues between CB++ and CB--. It happens at random as far as I've been able to tell. The server may run 48 hours with no issues, then crash every boot within 5-10 minutes for several tries, then run dandy again. Makes no sense at all. Here's the most common error. It's what occurs with both CB++ and CB-- They're friggin LONG and nothing specifically triggering them. Also, they do not specifically "crash" the server, so there's no recovery that I've been able to get the automatic tools to perform so far. It just seems to "hang" like it's locked-up: git://gist.github.com/3520139.git This one appears to have started with MV. I have one guy that swears MV is causing the issues overall, but I doubt it considering all the other servers that use it. This is the only time I've seen MV involved in the issue: git://gist.github.com/3520175.git
  4. 1...ERMGHALPISTUK - Not an error I can understand and translate into something I can give good information on. 2...Ogawd, please at least make it look like you're making an attempt to hit the correct keys when typing. This thread is funny and it hurts at the same time. Anyway...there's no fake player to OP like you did for qwerty qrauty quarty QUARRY damnit! 3...Go to your own forums or a PM to have a personal conversation. You asked for the help and in return for people trying to understand what is going on you reply like a dumbass. Seriously kid...
  5. I've ran MC servers for 3 years now, only a few months as Tekkit and I've had players around for just about the entire 3 years. We had a similar discussion a couple months back. While I can't really comment on why I "play" on one server (everyone knows admins don't play), the community keeps admining fun and interesting, almost as if I actually get to play ;)
  6. Thanks, I'll keep that in mind..now to figure out what's actually caused the corruptions. I don't have any special plugins/etc that should be affecting the world loading or saving. Guess I'll have to keep digging. I sure as hell don't want it to continue.
  7. Haha, why the hell wouldn't you use geothermal? Nether = Lava. Lava is so much easier to mess with than Oil. Just use 1 or more Geothermal Generators, pipe them into a MFE/MFSU and then into an Energy Link to a Power Teleport pipe and slap your Quarry down anywhere you wish within chunk loading distance (unless you use chunk loaders).
  8. When I started, I just decided what I wanted to build then used the NEI interface to figure out how to craft and dug all the way down to how to craft every item required to craft what I wanted. Like Moogle stated, one of the great things of Tekkit/Technic is exploration not only in the world, but within the technology of it.
  9. With the onslaught of World corruptions that seem to be plaguing servers, I've completely avoided WorldEdit regeneration, as from what I've dug around and poked at showed that WE regen can be the start of these corruptions. Have you experienced any of this yourself? I'm still trying to figure out what specifically started the corruption on my previous map. Wasn't a good way to transition from running a Vanilla server to a Tekkit. Ran our 1st map for about a month and it crapped out on us and had a similar issue shortly before transfering to a dedicated server. Anyway, not to hijack the thread, just curious if you've had issues with WE regen greed?
  10. Holy shit, I think I enjoy reading the BS people post on your profile more than the boards sometimes haha!

  11. Go find out what type (Model#) of Router/Modem you have and look around on portforward.com. Lots of info on how to access your router and open ports you require. Port you'll need to open is 25565. Aslo, may have to tell your Firewall on your PC to release that port as well. Just be sure to open it for UDP and TCP.
  12. No.... have you opened the default launch.bat file ever? How many players are you hosting? Also, have you opened your Task List to see how much memory the server uses on it's own? Also be sure it give it a little leeway. I'd suggest looking into how your server is handling things with VisualVM. I know it helped me understand what was going on.
  13. I'm glad I never touched dimensional anchors! I did however, crash on my previous server from the damn log file (smaller HD) and not sure, but it may have been the cause of my world corruption =/ I'll have to do some testing on my local server and see if I can find anything worth sharing.
  14. I don't use Lockette, but I'll toss another tanks to you for helping the other Ops here. Not enough of this going around! (Of course it could be completely coverd by the crap posts made by people that shouldn't post here...friggin YogsCast fanboys)
  15. OMG you crated a server? What kind of crate is it? Seriously, go post on the right forums and put a hell of a lot more effort into your post if you hope to have it approved by the mods to be listed there.
  16. FYI - You do not post to the bug forums, there's a button at the top to submit a "Ticket" of sorts. On your specific issue. I'm assuming you've got a corrupted world. Seems to be a common thing on Tekkit servers recently. Go back in your server.log and look for errors like... Chunk file at 149,-52 is in the wrong location; relocating. (Expected 149, -52, got 150, -53) Of course, your chunk locations will show different numbers, but that pretty much means your world is corrupt and eating itself away by moving shit where it doesn't belong. If you want proof, find your most recent errors, and multiply the chunk numbers by 16 and tp to those coordinates. Always nice to see a chunk of spawn floating inside a chunk of volcano.
  17. Seems to be a HUGE issue with the jar included in 3.1.2. Try checking out this thread: http://forums.technicpack.net/threads/cb-upgrading-tekkit-3-1-2.19176/ I can tell from experience that the default 3.1.2 jar file sucks horribly. Don't know what's wrong with it, but it just plain sucks. CB++ works very well, but I kept encountering random errors. Installed CB-- (Spigot) and it has been running beautifully 48 hours with no issues whatsoever.
  18. Try checking out this thread: http://forums.technicpack.net/threads/cb-upgrading-tekkit-3-1-2.19176/ I can tell from experience that the default 3.1.2 jar file sucks horribly. 19. Well, I keep running into random errors using CB++, which is a bit frustrating because it ran SOOOO much smoother. I swapped over to CB-- and haven't had an issue for the last 48 hours. Will have to see how things go. Absolutely loving this. I don't know what's the issue with the standard Tekkit.jar, but running on a dedicated server with more than enough umph causes the standard Tekkit.jar to scream "can't keep up" even though it's properly allocated an entire processor and more RAM than I'd ever need.
  20. Delete your railcraft.dat file within your world save folder. It'll clear the area and shouldn't mess anything up in my experience (don't have a friggin clue what it's for).
  21. Check the server folders...I'm assuming it generated a new world. What did it call that folder? Be sure you're not using spaces in your world names and I'm pretty sure you shouldn't put your seed in the properties file. That's for world generation purposes.
  22. Find your world dave in the .techniclauncher\tekkit folders, rename the folder to world and replace the world folder in the server you play with your son or a second server. EDIT: Or just paste your SSP world in the base folder of your server and change the default world name in the server.properties file
  23. Just run a localhost server with your world. As long as you have 2-3GB RAM you shouldn't run into any *major* issues playing alone.
