  1. Yup. I love the idea, but hate that I'd be forced to delete the mod if it was included. DAMNIT MOJANG - Rewrite and optimize your game :@
  2. Also, I'm not certain what's handled on what side. Client or Server. Anyway, modifyworld permissions do not work. I've attempted several different variations and even went into debug mode to see if there were any node checks when the item was used. Frankly there are none.
  3. True enough, but what if there are 10 players online and all 10 are in different worlds? Even without the individual spawns loaded, you'd still have however many worlds loaded because the players would be in them.
  4. I'm not familiar with NoItem becuase I use disablecraft, but I'd assume you'd use a node similar to a NoHave or NoCraft. Something that restricts a player from having it in their inventory or creating it in the first place. The use node is typically used when someone is using an item ie: bonemeal on trees.
  5. NoLagg also has properties that do the reverse of what it's name says. It can cause lag on Tekkit servers as well. I did have it installed for some time and properly configured, but as soon as I moved to 3.1.2, NoLagg to a shit on my server and I was forced to remove it. I just use ItemStacker now to compress items that fall to the ground. Has worked just fine.
  6. Didn't find the "plugin" mentioned through search. It'd be great if there is one. Will dig more when I get home.
  7. As you said in the title...this is a bug. Where does it belong? And I've never seen it before
  8. To begin with, are there any Microsoft updates that were just installed or may be waiting a restart? Check this and restart and if that doesn't work, try reinstalling Java7 again.
  9. Like Moogle stated, the bolded section is where you start Don't give up on auction plugins just because you failed. Are you admitting defeat?!? I'm assuming this was also the cause of all the other Auction plugins you attempted failing as well. Now that you know what the probable cause was of your failure, go forth and try again. The best way to learn is to fail. Do please take the time to read the installation/setup/configuration documentation and links the plugin authors create. It does wonders :)
  10. Hah! Guess I've been sheltered running my server since alpha I guess. In my mind that would never, ever be a good idea. No wonder people would login even when we were having issues and say we were much more stable than most others. I was confused because I was frustrated and working issues. I only joined like 2 other servers since I stated my Vanilla and it was chaos. No wonder 100's of servers come and go daily.
  11. Holy hell...who in their right mind would even think that was a good idea?
  12. Buycraft supports time-based perks. When the perk drops after their month of having it, it's up to them to renew it. I personally would never suggest or encourage my players to start paypal subscription payments to my server. If they want to, that's fine, but it feels too much like I'm requiring them to pay to be on my server. I agree with this as well. My personal opinion is to not have my donors getting anything that's hugely game-breaking or not obtainable by those that can't pay, but are a great addition to our commuity.
  13. I have a pretty damn good PC and I can tell even my hardware takes a toll in the Nether. I do have all my graphic settings set on max, but I'm fine with what I experience. It's everyone else logging into my server on their craptops that disconnect everytime they take a portal to the Nether on my Tekkit server that I'm concerned about. The same people handled the Nether decently in Vanilla.
  14. Also, how's your TPS on the server? If your server's screaming for resources, it won't be able to keep up with updating the cart's positions fast enough. Also - have you checked the RailCraft sites for solutions?
  15. Just decompile the EE classes. They're not obfuscated. Really...*goes off in search*
  16. You'd load them anyway if there were any travellers in your train. Chunkloader does the same thing. Not sure this would fix your issue though. I'm guessing it's just a bug with the linking carts not cooperating with each other appropriately and colliding.
  17. There's another thread on this already that's been active today. Ooop, seems you've found it.
  18. There was 1 new video though it didn't say much
  19. Ah, not a bad idea. Hadn't thought about that. I've used that plugin in the past, guess I need to pick it up again. Thanks for the tip!
  20. PermissionsEx with ModifyWorld. For removing existing items, by blocking items appropriately will remove items from player's inventories as soon as they pick them out of their chests. As for stoping banned items from being created in the first place, 1st place to try is the mod configs. Second would be to use a plugin such as disablecraft or NoItem. I know you're probably looking for more information, but I also know it's all out here on the forums because I've helped answer the question before. Search around a bit, but those are the two places I'd start.
  21. If you're using PermissionsEX, deny the placement of the chests through ModifyWorld.
  22. Minecraft in general is a resource hog, adding mods and plugins just enhances the issue. I personally make it a habbit to implement automated restarts every X hours just to help clunky Java with releasing my precious resources. There are several threads around here regarding the affect on TPS/etc of the different mods and the different parts of these mods. To your question, I'm trying to identify "leaks" or hogs myself in order to optimize things a bit more. I've personally blocked block breakers blocked from breaking cobble and snowtops to stop the infinite cobble/snow golem farms.
  23. Very true, it would just be much easier to have a blacklist field so I don't have to worry aobut staff including the argument each and every time, especially since we don't have to do rollbacks often.
