  1. Okay, I'm guessing the issue here is that you're using 3.0.4 Tekkit and the latest version of the plugins. FYI: Tekkit 3.0.4 - Requires compatability with CB 1.2.5 R1.3 Tekkit 3.1.1 - Requires compatability with CB 1.2.5 R4 Tekkit 3.1.2 - Should be compatable with the latest as well I'm assuming you're running into an issue with a R4 plugin that is not compatable with R1.3. Personally, for ease of setup on your end, and to go ahead and be one-step closer to the latest in Tekkit (Works fine, I'm running it on a live server), I'd suggest at the minimum installing Tekkit 3.1.1.
  2. Thanks for the info! With the exploits the author is aware of and refuses to fix, I'm not at all inclined to keep NEI on the server-side. However, it's really nice to know that the recipe mode still works without the server mod. All I need is more people asking how to craft things ;)
  3. I personally use Residence to allow user protection. I know a lot of servers use Towny or Factions, but I'm not interested in all of the additional features they offer. Have a look at those three and see what you think. Aslo, for Block Logging, you can use LogBlock. I have used CoreProtect, but I'm a bit wary of it now since it's page on dev.bukkit has been under moderation for the last week or so with no explanation.
  4. I'm not familiar with the Mac setup, but I do know that you can OP through the console, through the server files and, depending on your setup, in-game. As to your connection issue, we need more details. Are you attempting to host the server over a LAN, to someone outside your LAN, or just locally on the same workstation?
  5. Great idea. Hopefully we can keep this area relatively clean. Thanks Kaker!
  6. Please refer to the "How To Join" section in the above posting: It was decided this was the best approach to allowing people to join and play when/if staff members aren't present or busy, allowing us to have a sense of ease and keeping the rif-raf out that refuse to read. If something was misunderstood, as stated previously, you're more than welcome to appeal on our forums...or continue being disgruntled. Either way, arguing with the owner isn't a good way to start out. While it wasn't included as question included as part of the test, for your information, here's what a redstone engine generator is: Hope that helped
  7. You missed a total of 3 questions. You joined and argued about everything possible. You have been voted off the island.
  8. Looking for fun times, great people, and good memories? Then The Oils of Oasis may be the place for you! Founded by experienced Minecraft Server administrators. We've managed servers for the last 3 years and are excited to add Tekkit to our portfolio. On our server, we attempt to keep the element of challenge you experience in single player mode; allowing you to have a feeling of accomplishment when you complete a huge Project. Our dedicated staff works tirelessly to keep the server running 24/7 and prevent griefing, but still leave most of features intact for players and disable as little items as possible. We fixed almost all major bugs and exploits. Unlike some servers, we place no limits on functionality regardless of donation status. While we are trying to determine non-game-breaking perks for donators that help keep the server funded, almost all perks and restricted items are available through time-based ranks achievable through time spent on the server. The server is extremely community-based. All significant changes are discussed with our members and members are encouraged to post plugin and mod suggestions on our forums! We are striving to be the best Survival Tekkit out there, so hop on, see what you think and give us some feedback! Things are constantly evolving Stroll on over to the Technic Launcher website and download the latest client. We're currently running Tekkit v3.1.2, which is supported by Launcher v3.1.2. Once downloaded, run the launcher and select Tekkit from the list of modpacks from top left dropdown. Click "Options" and manually select Client v3.1.2. Sign on and join us at OasisOils.net! The server is a Grey-List. There is a quiz to allow building rights. If you fail, you will be banned and will have to request to be unbanned via our forums so a staff member can speak with you and make sure our rules are understood. Administratration: PhuriousGeorge Rsthaliot We have something for almost everyone! (No creative at the moment) There are plans on adding Mob arenas, a multitude of PVP arenas with rewards. NPCs & Quests For a complete, updated list of server rules, please visit the list on our forums HERE. Hacks and client mods that provide an advantage are forbidden and will result in a ban (Unless of course, those mods are a part of Tekkit). Respect the staff (Moderators / Admins). They are here to maintain the server and community, and do it because they want to. Respect your fellow players. Any kind of serious discrimination or disrespect will result in a ban. Do not request materials, time/weather changes or teleports from Admins / Moderators. Please report any server/mod issues found via the forums to ensure best experience. PvP is currently allowed at night. We ask you respect people within their property. No duping. If you find an issue that allows you to dupe, report it! Disable all machines before logging out! Quarry holes must be covered up. Griefing and theft are prohibited. EE has been removed. Block Breakers cannot break cobble. Many items have crafting disabled in order to sell them through the economy or add them as time-based ranks. This is still being put through it's paces, but will be updated here once firmed up. We have a number of fun and gameplay enhancing plugins installed, and we're always looking for more/better! Some of the currently installed plugins include: iConomy ChestShop TreeAssist LWC You can access our Live Dynmap HERE. TS3 IP: 209.222.102.26:9987 You can access our forums HERE. Updated images coming soon! We were forced to pack up and move to a new map. Spawn/Trade hub in it's current state: Infinity Bay, a Server-sponsored City
  9. You have to add the invividual IDs to LWC's config. Do a search on the forums, there's a thread were I posted a pastebin of my LWC config file.
  10. Tekkit 3.0.4 = 1.2.5 R1.3 Tekkit 3.1.1 = 1.2.5 R4
  11. The plugin's site will typically tell you what build of Bukkit it's compatable with. If you're using 3.1.1 server, the latest for MoneyDrop, PEX, and ModifyWorld work just fine
  12. Thanks Torezu, I'll try that out on one of my backups to be sure it doesn't blow up all the microblocks ;)
  13. It worked for me on 3.0.4 and 3.1.1. Is your sound on and volume turned up on the alarm?
  14. PM me so I remember and I'll upload my latest file for you when I get home.
  15. What version of the Tekkit server are you running? Are the plugins compatable? If I recall correctly, if you're running: Tekkit server v3.0.4, that would require plugins compatable with Bukkit 1.2.5 R1.3. Tekkit server v3.1.1, that would require plugins compatable with Bukkit 1.2.5 R4
  16. I've seen some of these errors myself and haven't been able to find the cause yet if anyone has any insight
  17. Or use the vanish included in Essentials or the more simple version of VanishNoPacket created by the same authors called EasyVanish
  18. In 3.0.4 I had minor rollback issues of anything occurring approx 1 min prior to restart, but haven't had any issues with 3.1.1. I use minebackup as well for actual server backups.
  19. There's no recommended tag on 3.1.1 in the Launcher so, it's obviously not recommended. And to your prior question, yes, my players are forced to update to 3.1.1, and that's perfectly fine, I communicate with my community, so it's not an issue at all. End of argument: If you own a server, just as with regular Minecraft, it's the server operators that determine what version of client their players need and their responsibility to communicate. OPs may update ASAP, or they may choose not to update for a month. Either way, unless communicated with their users, will cause issues.
  20. It's not screwing anyone... It's not auto-updating anyone and no server is forced to update if they don't want to. I've personally updated mine and it seems to be running well. I've communicated it with my members and it hasn't been an issue. What would be screwing people is forcing clients to update and them not able to connect to the server. If it was stated as ready to go, it'd be recommended. Makes perfect sense and works well for those of us that take the time to understand how the release cycle goes...
  21. Especially considering 3.1.1 was just opened up yesterday...who the hell asks for 1.3 when it's not released and 3.1.1 isn't even recommended >.<
  22. Appears to be working for me. Did some testing with it last night.
