  1. Do not use conductive pipes, they are buggy to hell and back in the current Tekkit release. Instead, use redstone conduits.
  2. No, it's omni-output. Liquiducts are weird in a way that some machines auto-eject into them, and thus you have to use the omnidirectional mode to accept the liquid. Other times, you need to pump it out in output mode using a redstone signal.
  3. I am pretty sure they only work based on liquid destinations and sources. I.e. the network is saturated more or less evenly, but I haven't really done any tests on this, so I am not entirely sure.
  4. Then I guess you have to accept the limitations of waterproof pipes, as well as their bugginess. Can't really help you there.
  5. First off, you can still use liquiducts - simply use a Structure pipe with a gate on it for any gate logistics, and then trigger the liquiduct pumping by making the gate emit redstone signal upon necessary conditions. Second, a memory or state cell is what you definitely need. You can either use Computercraft, or, for more reliability, some kind of piston-based memory cell (check the minecraft wiki for relevant designs, I am no expert on vanilla redstone). The second option ensures that your memory cell is in the proper position even in case of map reload (if playing on SSP) or chunk unload. You can also possibly use a PRC for memory storage, but I have no idea how to achieve that, having never played with RedNet logics before. Could you post screenshots of your setup so that it's easier for us other people to analyze it and provide input on controlling it?
  6. rv11 of AE has the ME condenser, which acts as a recycler of sorts. It accepts pipes, export buses and storage cells. That's good enough.
  7. First off, back up that percentage with some solid proof. Second, being offended and being harassed are not the same thing. Third, no, the point of the quote is that emotional involvement in an argument does not grant one an advantage in that argument - at least it shouldn't. This quote is not intended for sexual assaults and verbal abuse and the like.
  8. Hey meat, do you just try to stir up shit in every thread that you're in? Check this.
  9. Ah, I've heard about it. 5 years ago, I would've tried it. But alas, in the recent years, my gaming preferences have shifted unfavorably into the FPS realm. I grew up on Age of Empires, Pharaoh, Cultures, Red Alert, Starcraft... But I can't play those games anymore without getting either (a) bored or ( frustrated. I am ashamed, but it's true, sadly.
  10. I have a question: what is the main reason to use a lava fabricator? Are you planning on using obsidian bricks for building? Because I can't think of any other reason, considering lava fabrication takes exactly as much energy as you can get out of said lava if you use it as fuel in a magmatic engine.
  11. I've been hearing good stuff about Antichamber - apparently it's a game that will blow your mind completely if you approach it with conventional human logic. Been meaning to try it.
  12. I... guess. To be honest, I've not been to SA all that much, just know that moot split off from there, and thus made apparently incorrect assumptions.
  13. Many people on these forums come from communities with... less than desirable... behavior. I am talking about SA and the various chans, mostly. Seeing as I am one of those, I do feel like there is a certain amount of self-restraint required to prevent oneself from calling others homosexuals or whatever. Not everyone is as adapt at this as me, though, so you see people getting annoyed and angry at minor things.
  14. Is it fixable? I feel kinda sad that I have to carry some other kind of axe when building in my own house, because I use wood for flooring more often than not.
  15. Redstone energy cells are easily wrenchable energy storage units that can be moved wherever if you want to test something in an isolated environment. As for solars, they are shunned because they essentially became the endgame goal for power production, eliminating all competition due to complete lack of maintenance, as well as the fact they could fit into 1 block. The current Tekkit provides a maintenance-free way to generate electricity (biofuel gen), but at the cost of high cost in materials, lots of required space (especially if you use trees) and proper pipe/conduit logistics. As for the MPS jetpack, my feelings are currently somewhat mixed. I feel like earlier versions of the MPS jetpack performed better than the current one, and the flight control module does little to help that, because of how wonkily it works. At least in my case, if I activate a jetpack with flight module I can never. land. I keep hovering above ground, which both uses energy and makes me moved way too fast. It might have something to do with the fact that I use Smart Moving, though. However, outside of some small issues, the MPS jetpack combined with flight control is almost (almost) like creative flight, and is much better than the IC2 jetpack for travel and building.
  16. That's needless hostility, alright. It's fine to point out that it's specifically a Hexxit problem, it's not fine to call people names because they posted in the wrong forum.
  17. I've noticed that too, and the same applies to all mod wood and planks, including those included in the Forge Dictionary (such as Natura stuff).
  18. I had to take quite a break due to personal stuff, but I am hoping to get some more testing tonight. I previously tested Thaumcraft equipment, and as far as it being used standalone with frames, it is pretty much completely bugfree - the only thing I haven't tested is displacing a part of an assembled Infernal Furnace, but I assume that in this case, it will simply break up as a multiblock and revert to its original composition (plus a blaze in the place of lava). I've tried moving crucibles and other containers with aspects in them, without any problems. Golems retain their target (such as an alembic or a crucible), and alembics being disconnected from their crucibles cause no errors or crashes (I feared they could). I did not try much in terms of integration of TC3 with other mods, such as BuildCraft, but I'd assume that there should be no big problems with that.
  19. What I would suggest is trying to come up with something on your own. Yes, I know how you feel, I was like that, too. But I eventually got over this "creative block" of sorts, and started planning my own stuff. Granted, it almost always looks like a castle of some sort... That's not the point. Try to start with a general idea. What do you want your place to be? A palace? A castle? A biodome? A treehouse? An underground bunker? Once you have the idea, figure out which kinds of materials you think will fit the theme of your build, and then go from there by planning room layout etc. If you do this in small steps, it's easier than instantly trying to think up and start building something humongous.
  20. I'm pretty sure your tongue was hanging out in that post, as illustrated by the smiley.
  21. Why'd you revive a thread that's half a year old, about an update that is about 3 months old? And no, nobody really thinks that anything in the new updates is "new and awesome" - it's been done in mods, and better, for years now.
  22. Can we have a discussion on thorium based nuclear power production? I've seen a recent upsurge in promotion of molten salt thorium reactors, and I'm quite interested in the topic, even despite the fact that I work in an industry indirectly connected to oil production, one of its main competitors in terms of power production. Here's a recent video from one of the channels I am subbed to: http://youtu.be/4E2GTg7W7Rc (Drats, I still can't get the URL tag to work properly).
  23. Yes, it was, and it was an optional module. I don't understand why chickenbones refuses to release a 1.5.2 version of WRCBE without that module. Also, hopefully we will see WR integration with RedNet, as well as analogue signal transfer - now that these 2 main features are a staple in redstone circuitry, it'd almost be a crime not to implement them into wireless transmission. Though, I bet that the wireless transmitters and receivers for signal bundles are going to be MUCH more expensive than those for single signals, for balance reasons. Current version of WRCBE isn't exactly cheap either, requiring plenty of obsidian and ender pearls.
  24. If you are using an official release download from the forums, it's still on Minecraft 1.4.7. You'll have to delve into unreleased development builds in IC2 repo to be able to install them into the current Tekkit. You can find them here: http://ic2api.player.to:8080/job/IC2_lf/ If you are using one of those, however, the magnitude of errors can be vast, from a simple BlockID conflict to major bugs and incompatibilities with other mods. You'll have to post which version of IC2 you tried using, and the complete ForgeModLoader crash log.
