Also, make sure to have it set to 'always set recommended build' as opposed to 'manual build select.' Check via the options in the launcher, and if you want to do it manually you can simply change that at any time as well.

You tried to steal a sound engineer's speakers? Oh Guthix you're about as smart as someone stealing uranium from SimpleGuy. ...Back on topic, I'd say you can't go wrong with Bose (Out of your price range right now, I'm afraid) or Logitech (Good quality with a reasonable price)! Personally I use Logitech because I can't afford any Bose $100-$300 speakers or headphones, and the sound quality is really good even compared to $50-100 USD speakers. And yes, I went USD because it's the money I use and you can convert to whatever you want if you need to.

Because you can't move a thread into another thread, AFAIK. Plus you can just, I dunno, post it there instead of making mods/admins fix your problem for you.

I know all of Rammstein's songs by heart, so it really doesn't help much. Listened to them in high school which helped me in class as well as my proficiency on German MMO servers. :)
-
I now have two films to watch, and two chances to improve my now-rusty German.

Just for that, I'd say no. But it's not my call. Anyone can do a Tekkit LP, just like anyone can do a Minecraft LP. Just post the LP in our Let's Play section if you want us to watch it (Not many people do, to be honest).

Not my business - as long as they watch it, he has reason (And the right) to make them. Plus, if they genuinely disliked the videos, there'd be outcry of 'just get on with it already!' as opposed to 'Oh yay another video.'
-
The hordes don't seem to think that the tree-punching is low quality. If they're willing to watch them and it genuinely entertains the majority time after time, then I don't see why he shouldn't create the videos.

Please Help (Sry if I sound like a Noob).

And there yet remains the kind soul willing to believe in the young kitty after all's said and done. I salute you, brave soul; I also wonder how long before you are assimilated into the cynics. -
TotalHalibut/TotalBiscuit/John Bain makes all his money from YouTube. It's his company, and he got it to support his wife and stepson after he was deported back to Great Britain for a misunderstanding and had no job (And couldn't stand minimum-wage BS). His YouTube videos began quickly gaining popularity and he could put ads on them so he was able to make some money off that. As he became more and more famous he eventually made YouTube his career. His small company (Just himself and his wife IIRC, not including a lawyer if necessary) is the primary source of income for his household, and it's supplemented by things like PAX and E3 (Although one could argue that's part of his company. Whatever). Also he recently moved back to America and now lives with his wife and stepson once more. Now you know about John Bain, AKA TotalHalibut, AKA TotalBiscuit. Next time do your research - I literally got all this from his mailbox videos I keep up-to-date on. (Similar to OMFGcata's Q & A I assume, although only rarely is TB asked about his life and not about gaming issues/topics/etc.)

Oh please. This is a new game that very few (If any) of us have had any extensive experience in. Plus I'm absolutely terrible at FPS games in general - other than medical and engineering applications to support others... So you'd at least fit in with me! Anyways, back to what I was saying, we'll all improve over time and nobody expects you to be anywhere near perfect at this time (Or ever, honestly. Everyone here is pretty relaxed).
-
Then why is this bug posted in the LAUNCHER Bugs Section? Try posting it in the Tekkit Bugs Section, and pastebin the logs in the Error Log thing. Then you'll get more help, and the help you do get will be much more... Helpful. :)

For some reason I doubt we'll all be able to agree on one empire to fight for. However I wouldn't mind teaming up with anyone else here one bit.
-
I'm fairly sure it isn't alphabetical. My brother occasionally plays Technic or Tekkit on my computer, and his account is after mine alphabetically. Not that it matters. Just relax, type in your information, and log in. Literally, the one or two seconds to check are worth it.

Need help. Connection Interruptions with Everything.
Adlersch replied to CoolBeans's topic in Off Topic Discussion
Obviously it's not 1 mb/s, otherwise you wouldn't be having these issues. As for solutions, you'll need to let us know: Wired or wireless connection to modem? Wired or wireless connection to ISP? How's the weather been? Also, check to see if your bandwidth is really small. If your bandwidth is tiny, then obviously the 1 mb/s is going to be an extremely narrow measure and only apply to narrow usage. -
Holy Guthix, I jumped when I saw the last bit. Anyways, there really isn't anything I can add to this... I like the Terran Republic better (For the colors and the government, but that's a long-ass-story which can be found on 'Let's talk about how great Planetside 2 is going to be.') I'm already raring to go and I already know I'll almost always be a medic or engineer unless otherwise needed - I fucking love being the support classes for some reason... Maybe because if I see people going down I could: 1) Run in, blast maybe a few then go down 2) Blast one and res an ally or two 3) Set down a turret to blast them all and call for help 4) Fix the MAX as it blasts everyone and covers the medics resing the downed troops

Great thing about Planetside is that it also caters to casual players who don't have a lot of time like myself or you. We can literally just sign in, go fight for 5 minutes, sign out, go to class/work/whatever, come back, sign in for 2 hours, sign out, with basically zero waiting time other than actually loading the world.

And so Xylord, Adlersch, and Awesomized1 began work on their epic Tekkit adventure! ...Map. Edit: Dyslexic

labigcheese is back! Lol, anyways. In SSP I don't know. Dictatorship? Monarchy? Anarchy? Democracy? I really don't involve NPCs - Testificate villages are plundered and cleared from existence, I don't really keep animals (Except kitties. <3). As for SMP, total oligarchy. Everything is state (Company)-owned, and you must work for the company in exchange for credits with which to buy everything. However anyone who is approved by the Board is free to pursue their own projects with access to the Company's resources. If someone is found to be misusing resources or not making sufficient progress, their project is scrapped and they owe for all time/resources/manpower used. Board members are free to pursue their own projects as they see fit, and all employees (Board members or otherwise) are expected to contribute to the company's resource stockpile and exceptional contributors may be compensated.

I'm still all-in for Planetside 2, and I only ever play one MMO (And usually one game) at a time, so...

I'm not sure how this will fix things too much, to be honest. I'd just find out which is worth the least EMC, make one, then transmute things into the cheapest sticky piston so as to save EMC (When I need a sticky piston). It won't fix the system (And I know he's not done or near done, obviously), so he has his work cut out for him.

Dear Guthix someone finally gets it! Anyways, I wouldn't mind too much if there were different settings, but making them default? I don't think that'd go over well. An option to have a differently balance EE is fine, and works perfectly for those who feel it overpowered (Because they typically remove or tailor it to their needs anyways) because they already have experience in changing things. Like, "Hey, our server uses x setting for EE. If you wanna play you need x setting enabled. If you don't know how here's how: [Example]." But given the a good amount of Technic Pack's userbase has little to no modification experience (Even in config files), those folks wouldn't be happy if in the next update "EE is fucked up, WTF?!!??!" And the majority (Often the silent majority that only register to get onto a server, post bugs [badly], or don't register on these forums at all, only download it and play it) doesn't feel EE is overpowered. They'd come back with a vengeance (Not always angry, just confused for the most part). That'd cause problems for everyone - those who do feel EE is overpowered included (Having to deal with more idiots not reading stickies on how to set it to the 'old default' and flooding the forums, or complaining that servers use x setting instead of the old y setting). Frankly I feel this is a compromise which would help everyone (Except maybe those who would have to tailor EE to different (x,y,z) settings, it'd probably be a pain in the ass for them) - removing EE is an over-reaction in my opinion, while leaving it as is without doing anything is obviously not working for some people. It'd make everyone able to play Tekkit however they like and find others who care for their style of EE easily (Although perhaps not more easily than it is now, but that's my personal opinion). I think this sober approach to a compromise as opposed to a back-and-forth pointless argument (My goodness, an argument like this is in PAINS) might actually accomplish something or at least make both sides satisfied with this discussion.

"C-C-Combo Breaker" is, IIRC, a meme. And other than to explain it, I refuse to utter it (Especially on these forums given the rules).

So IC2's way costs 8256 EMC instead of 8192. This is, of course, assuming one has a renewable, reliable energy source (Such as solar power) - that I will admit. But really a renewable, reliable energy source is my first goal in IC2 - in my opinion doing otherwise (Except for say a nuclear reactor lategame, or playing with fickle 'rules' to make a more interesting gameplay experience) is just plain foolishness. Alongside that, I also believe it's foolish to use EE before you have a working macerator and electric furnace.
