  1. Okay, this one piqued my interest. Why? Because this one achieved what we hoped would be possible in robots. Just give it more time to really improve it.
  2. Hrm, did some various setups with obby pipe. It suffers from the same "I don't know who I am" syndrome, with the added initial effect of entity confusion; it does remember once a move happens and it recognizes entities ejected from the previous move. It will also let entities drop down a hole, so that has to be watched for as well. Also, here's the textures I made. Dynasty-RiM
  3. So I messed around a bit with MFR conveyer belts. It works fine if you block the ejection path to allow the entities to fall onto the belt and into an Item Collector, but you'd better be sure there's something underneath the belt after moving or else it'll pop itself and stuff will fall down into the hole under the bore. A similar setup with obby pipes may result in similar behavior with losing entities down an uncovered hole, so I'll reload the world from the save I gave you to see for sure. AE Transition Planes are totally awesome, though. Disgustingly so. I might attempt an insane build or two in Creative with these. I would still recommend a stepped design for reducing costs in Survival, however. I also finished the Dynasty-based textures for the mod as well--they're influenced by the recipes in the mod so they're interesting to look at. May I recommend adding a separate texture for the top/bottom of the Engine and Controller?
  4. Reminds me of a YouTube clip of a baboon-based walker prototype that I saw some time ago, I thought that was a clever way to make a walker mech using proven real-world systems. It's not a flexible as a real baboon, given how fast it can turn, but with some real impetus it may be far better.
  5. I don't mind; I suspect the problem is really in the way MFR block breakers behave instead, given from what you've described your end of the problem is. We may just have to let people know about this when building tunnel bores until it can be resolved. I'll finish up these textures of mine and then I'll start goofing around with the other mods, now that I was able to get a copy of AE to stick into TTP.
  6. I'll give those suggestions a try, see what happens. Just remember people will go directly to what they perceive is the easiest way to achieve their goal, and here BC pipes is the easiest to make.
  7. That reminds me, I should finish my own 16x textures for this mod. Just need to do the motors and the skoodiver...
  8. A diamond? Pfff, broken hands is a netherstar. :D
  9. Tech Testing Platform 2.1 is now available, BTW. It's got a coupla mods in it--predominantly RiM and Essentia Vitae, for obvious reasons, as well as a few tech mods that I'd forsee being used with this mod. (Don't mind Slimevoid's Wireless, last I heard ChickenBone's Wireless isn't stable enough to try it yet.) Also, BC isn't quite working either, I just uploaded the worldfile here with a test setup for you to see. Blockspew is still occuring with BC pipes.
  10. What, the template carriages are what's holding the blocks together. Consider it a form of sacrifice to the Redstone Gods that you can do this wondrous thing.
  11. Wow. Sexy work, I'd say it's very close to ready for inclusion in any major modpack.
  12. Okay, I can hold off putting out a new TTP update. Gives me some time to look over what mods I have already to build the Adventurer's Pack. If Planetguy has any suggestions for that, feel free to shoot me the suggestions in an IM, I don't want to clog this thread up with anything but RiM.
  13. What flavor is it this month? Asperger's, or ADD?
  14. Best way I can think of doing it is to throw a second light source a block ahead, move, then remove the first light source.
  15. Hey, direct the horse line at DrZark. He made them that way. Besides, I've seen uglier.
  16. Well, I'm sure the Tech Testing Pack (new build up soon) would make for an excellent starting point for an adventure pack. Just remove some mods, add some decorative/utility mods, and it's a start. :D
  17. To be fair, you should go throw that over to the MCForums. We only deal in putting cool mods together and making them behave for others to enjoy. We have no input on what Jeb puts in Vanilla, as he doesn't even know we exist.
  18. Must I know which part of himself he is stroking? I don't think so. Seriously, though, can we agree that he doesn't need anymore attention beyond the bare minimum right now? :smithfrog:
  19. Do it. You won't be disappointed--bring a pillow because you will headdesk a LOT. I need to go back and find all the panels, though, that's an achievement right there.
  20. Gentlemen, I believe his meat is well cooked past the point of edibility. Let's leave him marinating.
  21. Dude, not everyone is a fur on DA. Just remember that everyone goes through such a phase and that some just don't grow out of it. It's the weaboos and towering egos you need to watch out for.
  22. Some of the younger members haven't learned to modulate their levels of snark yet, so don't sweat it. They're just impressed by the wit and wisdom of Cheapy and Kaker--imitation is not only the most sincere form of flattery, it's also the easiest to grasp but the hardest to wield.
  23. Why not add that to the Wiki? You should go ahead and write it up a bit, then mark it for clean up so that one of the more experienced editors can put it in line with the rest of the wiki's format.
  24. Well, yes, but it's not a bad idea to rehash this kind of topic every now and then. It keeps reminding us why we perform the snark tango and who we should aim it at.
