    True. I actually refrained from saying mirrors are impossible, because what's being asked is essentially doubling the polygons on the screen. Now, a reflective medium for those cool Xylazers would be an interesting way to shoot power around a confined space...
  2. Forge needs to at least explode in sparkles. Then we can use the color and shape of the sparkles to get a general idea of the problem.
  3. How about a big fat NO. Go do your research on why for most of these. (Gravgun and Portal gun, if that what you said, are 1.5.1 compatable, but everyone who's someone here will tell you to add it yourself, including myself.)

  7. That's also a client mod, so you'd have to get your users to download a private modpack with that and your configuration files to avoid errors on both sides. On the serverside, drop it into the mods folder and drop your configuration file for that mod into the config folder.

  10. Well, forgot to add Mundus as the most basic, blank essence that can be manipulated. Anyways, the essence comes in tiers, like you said, so if we use the above essence, it would be Low Mundus, High Mundus, and finally Celestia/Stygian Mundus. Anywhere close?

  12. I was thinking that you'd have essence with multiple properties so that it can be "translated" into more of an existing item with the same properties, like what we already have. At the least, five basic properties: Terran, Aquis, Aeroian, Ignus, and Umbral. Perhaps some more based on materials, like Tempure for special metal sets like Metallurgy? Beyond that could be Celestia and Stygian for further refined properties.

  16. Nope! No change at all. This new Tekkit is pushed for what is essentially Tekkit Lite, and won't disrupt any other servers. (Especially since you don't have to update your current build just to play on the older servers.)
  17. Private packs don't really need permissions, but I'd start by looking up Universal Energy, which is the core mod for Voltz.
  18. It's a shame that there won't be anymore basalt, I actually like punching a volcano down and build with it.
  19. Usually I like to create a mini-pallet by picking a high, mid, and low color for a section. Altering the color for high and/or low can create some interesting effects, like a subtle glow to an enchanted weapon.
  20. *points to Vista* Well, there's your problem! </adamsavage> Seriously, though. You should have a system that can run at least XP, Java 7, and have plenty of memory and a decent graphics card to offset the graphics load on your processor.
  21. Techne is a very good start. A little hard to figure out at first, but I suggest making a hat for iChun's awesome Hats mod using his custom head base file to learn the basics.
  22. Careful with that. Some think that's hersey in the art world. I'd consider playing with actual colors using an airbrush tool and masking.
  23. Given that it's Metallurgy that is taking over the ore generation, I'd look in the core or base config. Should be options to revert to default generation for most vanilla ores. Beyond that, I'd find the ore chart and play with heights, veins, and amount per vein (count).

  25. Thanks, downloading now, will use some of KW for the rockets. My NotSoTinyCraft Mk I doesn't seem to want to get up high enough, even if TinyCraft Mk I was much more successful in achieving at least low Kerbal orbit.
