elmarko98 Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 Just interested what's everyone's favourite music? Quote
MrFly Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 DUBSTEP AND ELECTRO HOUSE! I love deadmau5. Been to 3 of his concerts. I have been to a Rusko and 2 Flux Pavilion and Doctor P concerts and I went to electric zoo this year. Quote
elmarko98 Posted September 20, 2012 Author Posted September 20, 2012 Meh listened to all of those, they're good and certainly talented but it's not the kind of thing I'd listen to while playing a game or doing work it's just not my type of music Quote

elmarko98 Posted September 20, 2012 Author Posted September 20, 2012 I'm a bit oldschool despite my age Oasis are one of favourites, they're kinda old now (broke up a few years ago) but they are good Nickleback are also another favourite, who doesn't like Nickleback seriously? But yeah similar music to that so in a nutshell - rock *rubs chin What do you think of that Mrfly? Quote

Ugh I have had enough of him after countless hours in school listening to my iPod on shuffle. His music all sound the same. Quote
MrFly Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 I also hate Oasis as I forgot to add but not as much as I hate Nickleback. CHER IS THE SHIT! So is Avril Lavigne. Quote
SimpleGuy Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 My taste in music shifts a lot, but Dream Theater has always consistently stayed on top as one of the most talented bands I know. Metropolis Pt. II: Scenes of a Memory in its entirety still blows me away. They are on a totally different level of songwriting. Still sad about Mike Portnoy leaving. Quote
elmarko98 Posted September 21, 2012 Author Posted September 21, 2012 I also hate Oasis as I forgot to add but not as much as I hate Nickleback. CHER IS THE SHIT! So is Avril Lavigne. Wow we have completely different music tastes And simple guy I'll have a look at those, I'll be honest I've never heard of them but I'll have a look :) Quote
Xylord Posted September 21, 2012 Posted September 21, 2012 I have ridiculously precise and varied tastes in music. My big problem is that I only like some songs in each genre, and there isn't any I really like. I can say I love most of classic. I've also been really into Rammstein and Avenged Sevenfold lately. And unsurprisingly,I listen to a lot of video game music. Quote
andrewdonshik Posted September 21, 2012 Posted September 21, 2012 I'd say jazz, classical, and Coldplay, but mostly jazz. Quote
LazDude2012 Posted September 21, 2012 Posted September 21, 2012 Good lad. I prefer the electronica side of the spectrum. House, trance, *avoiding dubstep like the plague*, electro, etc. Quote
elmarko98 Posted September 21, 2012 Author Posted September 21, 2012 Wow people have pretty varied music tastes Coldplay are another one of my favourites but I've stopped listening to them for some reason Quote
Moderators Munaus Posted September 21, 2012 Moderators Posted September 21, 2012 Lady Gaga. Her music is ok. But her live performance? Now that is just mindblowing! I've also been to 2 AC/DC concerts and Lordi (before they got famous) and U.D.O. Metal is good, when it's not completely thrash. Rock is even better. Bob Seger, Dr. Feelgood, Joan Jett and Rainbow and so forth... If you can't stand rock'n'roll. Then it's too late now... Didn't we have one of these threads already? Or was it deleted during forum migration? Quote
elmarko98 Posted September 21, 2012 Author Posted September 21, 2012 In not sure I wasnt around in those times and you have good taste :) Quote
Industrial Miner Posted September 21, 2012 Posted September 21, 2012 I like dark themes, but I also have a taste for good rhytm's. Now I like the Valve game themes lately as Hazardous Enviroments and the Mann vs Machine theme. Quote
The_DarthMoogle Posted September 21, 2012 Posted September 21, 2012 I usually hate it when people say Muse's stuff is their favourite, seeing as they change styles drastically every album. But I'm highly anticipating where their newest one is going, and I recommend you lot check out their two latest singles. MuStep is now 'a thing', so I hear. Quote
elmarko98 Posted September 21, 2012 Author Posted September 21, 2012 Man my list of must try music is getting bigger and bigger :D Quote
Adlersch Posted September 21, 2012 Posted September 21, 2012 Good lad. I prefer the electronica side of the spectrum. House, trance, *avoiding dubstep like the plague*, electro, etc. Oh joy, another electronica lover who avoids music he or she may like because it's mainstream and suffers heavily from fanboyism. Personally, I like dubstep a good bit, but not as much as other branches with electronica roots. As for music in general, I often stick to the hardcore side of the spectrum - Classic metal, hard rock ('90's-00's were the best, in my opinion), goth opera metal (Nightwish, Within Temptation, et cetera), and German metal. I can listen to and enjoy almost any music, but really only those genres can make me relax after a long day at work, finally able to sit down in front of my monitor. To those who hate dubstep with a passion but enjoy similar genres: Why? I need to know. Quote
elmarko98 Posted September 21, 2012 Author Posted September 21, 2012 I pretty much the same but I can't stand Dubstep. But rock is by far my favourite. Quote
The_DarthMoogle Posted September 21, 2012 Posted September 21, 2012 The thing is, a lot of Dubstep actually isn't. If it hasn't got a two-step beat, then it's not Dubstep. Quote
Pulse95 Posted September 21, 2012 Posted September 21, 2012 I always liked theme music to game or movies such as... or Don't worry, it isn't porn... or is it? Just kidding, but seriously, it might be. Quote

Still anything that's like or is Dubstep I won't like, I'm sorry that's just who I am The one thing I do find impressive about Dubstep is Dubstep beat-boxing now that's something else Quote
Mageleon3860 Posted September 21, 2012 Posted September 21, 2012 Just interested what's everyone's favourite music? Dubstep just really motivates me be besides that the song i like is "21 guns" Quote

To those who hate dubstep with a passion but enjoy similar genres: Why? I need to know. Basically, most people that do dubstep do it wrong. The good dubstep, I shuffle quietly under the "electro house" carpet, leaving only the "wubwub" stuff as dubstep. I like many songs that I classify as electro house that others might call dubstep. :) Quote
