They changed the file extensions so Forge cannot find them on 1.5.2. Navigate to http://files.minecraftforge.com/fmllibs, download them manually and add them to the libraries folder.

They changed the file extensions so Forge cannot find them on 1.5.2. Navigate to http://files.minecraftforge.com/fmllibs, download them manually and add them to the libraries folder.

That takes me to http://ww1.minecraftforge.com/, which is just one big ad, if there is any actual download for forge on there I do not see it.

And if I change it to .net it says that the page is not found.

EDIT:

I figured it out, though not where to download them from, since getting the libraries was the only problem I snagged them off of a BigDig server I had run back a ways on minecraft 1.5.2. If there is a proper fix though I would still be interested.

EDIT: Fixed crashing.

Now I have a noob question. Once the files opens up, unpacks all the information. the CMD prompt line says unloading Dimension 1 - then doesn't move.

Is this normal?

Once everything is finished, how would others connect to my server? Do they just download my modpack, then connect through it? Is that how I as the admin connect to it? This is my first time running a server.

Lastly...NPC maker mod has a folder in the modpack. Does that function like Flan's mod?

This may just be annoying, and if it is, tell me I'll delete it… But someone should make a custom server with a few mods such as:

Morph mod

Weeping angels

Galacticraft

A weapons mod

and perhaps tinker's construct

and then make that into the ultimate "mini-game" pack. Imagine capture the flag in which you can't trust your friend because they could just be a morphed enemy. Or a game of wool race where a weeping angel guards the wool evilly. Or a game of cluster cube in space!

A few people have been asking about this, so I thought I'd do a basic, step by step tutorial on how to build a server for you custom modpack. To make it even easier, I have done the tricky stuff for you!

Step One

Grab the base server files from here (These files are Bukkit-enabled too, plugins will work as normal):

Unzip the file, create a new folder called 'MyServerNameHere'. Copy the unzipped files into the new folder.

Step Two

So you got your pack right? What you need from it are the mods, coremods and config folders. If you have Flan's mod, you need the Flans folder as well. Copy them over into the 'MyServerNameHere' folder. It should now look like this:

Reminder! In 1.6+ NO mods go in the coremods folder! Everything goes in the mods folder!

For this, I have used the example of my pack, Yogcraft Extreme.

Step Three

This is an important step. You MUST delete all client side mods from the coremods and mods folders. This includes any NEI plugins from mods, any Voxel mods and Inventory Tweaks. This also includes Dynamic Lights, Custom LAN Ports, Optifine, any minimap mods and GUI API. Only mods that actually add content to the game need to be included. Otherwise, bin it!

Step Four

The pack is now done! Just run the launch.bat file and hey presto, it all works!

Errors

Most errors when running the server or playing the server can be fixed with a simple update. A common problem with Voxel Mods is if another mod is out of date, it will crash upon disconnecting from the server. Whatever that mod is, update it to its latest version for the version of MC you are using.

I intend to update this as necessary, so if you have any other bugs/errors, post them below and I will endeavour to help you.

What kind of server is the 1.5.2? Is it Bukkit, Vanilla with FML + Bukkit? I need to know so i know what to change my server setup to for treepuncher,

I finally got it to work by completely destroying my firewall. However now I get a crash report and I am terrible at code so I have no idea what any thing means so if some could help me with it that would be fantastic. Thanks.
