Mod perms

I helped to create a modpack for a community and went about getting perms for it. But am know wondering who holds the perms to the mods in the pack? Is it me or is it the owners of the community?

Probably with the community it was initially for... but you'll not find too many folks around here who would get worked up about it.

I'm gonna guess you had a falling out with the community in question and want to punish them by taking your ball and going home?

 

Sorry, but even if we policed permissions around here you don't "own" the permissions. The mod authors gave the OK to the pack to use their mod drama free. You were just the middle man.

Does this pertain to mod authors who ask you to pm them too?

Unless the PM specifically stated you have permission to screw over the rest of the modpack creators and the users if you ever felt pissy at them, then no. By the oh so legally binding, universally supported laws of minecraft mod permissions, you do not get to use your role as co-creator of a modpack to demand they stop using it because you don't like them anymore.

 

So if you're that desperate to exact your righteous vengeance upon them, I hear twitter is serious business and a strongly worded tweet can cause a devastating blow to their psyche.
