  1. I've found Blizzes in standard snow/ice biomes that do generate in the overworld, but they're usually underground, or occasionally on the surface at night. An MFR auto-spawner can continuously generate them once you have one in a re-usable safari net.
  2. 9 times out of 10, or more, if there's a power failure I end up loading from backups. It's not really worth the possibility of leaving a corrupted chunk or two around, since they tend to continue being disruptive well into the future, in my experience. MCEdit may fix things, unless the corrupted chunk has a lot of construction on it and I don't feel like resetting it. I have, in the past, pulled chunks from backups and pasted them into the current level files to remove corruption. That works if there haven't been many, or any, changes to the chunk since the backup (it includes items in chests, etc), but there's enough development that you don't want to wipe it completely.
  3. I realize this section is for Tekkit, but I discovered another use for it - in 1.7.10. 200 mB (2 dust worth) poured on top of Thaumcraft 4 Cinnabar in a Magma Crucible/Fluid Transposer combo ore generates a Thermal Foundation/Expansion Cinnabar crystal. That's all I have to say.
  4. To the best of my knowledge, it isn't possible or recommended to move or block the spawn block in a space station. I think you're just going to have to live with it.
  5. - IDFixMinus is really for running and deleting/moving, not including in the mods folder for a pack. - Many of your mods are out of date, even for 1.6.4 - you may want to consider looking for those, since most of the mods have final released versions that will no longer be updated. - You need iChunUtil (2.4.0, probably) to run Morph. Look here.
  6. I've gotten in sooo much trouble with this.
  7. I would completely wipe and reinstall Java, just to be safe.
  8. Cauldron runs fine in 1.7.10 - it just has a DMCA takedown order right now, so you can't find it anywhere. Regardless, Forge servers run on 1.7.10 fine, especially with FastCraft.
  9. CustomOreGen mod. Use it.
  10. Torezu

    RAM Issue?

There may also be a memory leak in one of the mods, or you may simply be trying to run a world with too many machines/moving bits in it.
  11. Rei's Minimap is a client-side-only mod, and the server will not run with it in the mods folder. The are a number of other mods that have the same property, among them HUDs, NEI mod integrations, etc.
  12. Okay, if that's the latest error log: - AnimationAPI is not there, whether you believe you added it or not. - Neither is CustomMobSpawner. - Mo' Creatures is outdated (it should be 6.1.0 for latest 1.6.4 version). The fact that you have 6.0.1 instead when it's not available on Dr Zhark's site tells me you may not have gotten it from the official downloads. - EnviroMine is outdated (1.1.89 is the last 1.6.4 version). - The LegacyJavaFixer needs to be added, since you're using Java 8 on a 1.6.4 pack - I'm surprised that's not crashing your client, and wouldn't be shocked at all if it's the next error in line after you get the current ones out of the way. - The Coros downloads for 1.6.4 include a couple things I don't see: ConfigMod and ModBuild. I don't know if you need them, to be honest, since I didn't start using Coro's stuff until 1.7.x, but you might want to keep them in mind. If you want your client to actually update when you change the modpack files, you need to change the version number on the Platform page.
  13. I never checked, since I've always had both: does Thaumic Tinkerer work without Tinker's Construct? I don't see the Legacy Java Fixer in your error log - you're using Java 8 with MC 1.6.4, so you really should have that. I can't download your mod pack to look at it (on this computer), so if you could post another log (pastebin if it's too big), that would be good.
  14. It is indeed spectacular. Laser turrets make excellent open base defense. They need a rather large amount of power, though, so plan on a reactor if you want one or more. The problem with the rest of them? Supplying them with ammo. Except item turrets. You can feed those with cobble gens.
  15. By itself, yeah, MoC is about it. Depending on what is built, there are a few others that might cause lag. Buildcraft pipes are known for it, and Ars Magica 2 isn't exactly tame when it comes to both world gen and ongoing entity lag, again depending on situation.
  16. Sounds good. Sorry I didn't get back to the thread a bit quicker - that last post was on lunch.
  17. I would add a couple: Addons for Thaumcraft (Thaumic Tinkerer especially, but also possibly Automagy/Technomancy): These turn Thaumcraft a bit more toward a tech mod. Obviously, it's still not one, but... OpenBlocks: There are a few things in here that are just useful. I'm guessing it's already on the list to go in, though. SecretRooms: Because reasons. Who knows? The pack will probably be a work in progress, and the architect may have other ideas for its direction. There are so many mods available that I would think it would be impossible to completely please everyone when it came to what was included.
  18. This section is for Tekkit discussion, not custom mod packs. I suggest you ask the pack author.
  19. Next time go look at the Tracker. This problem has been reported dozens of times, and probably encountered far more often than that.
  20. Cinematic camera mode has been in Minecraft for a while, at least since 1.7.2 and probably before. I suppose it might be useful for creating LPs, but otherwise it's annoying when you accidentally turn it on (F8 default).
  21. The entire log file would be good, along with an API or at least Platform page URL. Errors like this are consistent with not using the latest version of a core or prerequisite mod. I see you mention CodeChickenCore in your mod list, but I don't see it in the log file anywhere.
  22. Mo' Creatures requires CustomMobSpawner - the pack page says you have it, but I don't see it in the error report. Aether II requires Threaded Lighting, I believe (never tried to add it).
