If what EAS is said to be true, a chunk loader could help the issue.

Mekanism, ICBM, AE, Big Reactors and MFFS are all tech related mods and will probably never be a part of this pack since the original intention of this pack was not to be tech heavy. Thaumcraft will most likely never be added either, as a few of the aotb members (generikb, bdubs and co) have made official comments on thaumcraft in the modpack.

pirahnah3 - There are much better options for powering your altar. Also, with the update to witchery in this version, its possible these values were changed a bit or needs to be replaced so the altar can see them again. Its also possible, depending on your build location, that blocks it formerly counted toward power, were removed due to them were not being intended to count (such as say....stone or something [not true, only example])

Also, that error is highly suggestive of the one found @ http://forums.technicpack.net/tracker/issue-2010-connectionarea-crashes-server/ - It was also resolved in 1.0.12a. If you continue to have this error or the one similar to the one in the link above, delete the BOPVillage.dat and villages.dat file from the world save data folder.

WorldEdit will have its advantage of being able to do things in-game, however it requires some additional installation to make it work properly. Whereas MCEdit can edit the world at any time, as long as the server is offline. Each have its merits. If you want to do in-game terraforming, etc, WorldEdit is definitely the way to go (I highly recommend using the //limit command if you go this route though, as you can accidentally create millions of blocks that can crash the server or cause it to take a very long time before you get a response from it)

Highly recommend getting MCPC+ (Cauldron) as per the above post. Using the default settings, I suggest 3GB RAM. Generated chunks won't cause lag, it'll be entities, blocks, and other things that will take a large hit. If you want, install Opis on both the server and locally so you can see what's going on with entities, etc if it ever becomes an issue with lag.

EAS, this issue was already resolved. You would have seen this from the link provided by them to their tracker report.

TPS is probably low due to a various number of reasons. I suggest installing Opis and using it to find out what it is causing it.

I find people looking at "server" posts often only read the top post sadly. Then post, and then leave. But please, don't let my logic get in the way of this, it has been entertaining to read.

If you're going to go the route of removing their spawns, the cleanup is as easy as typing /cofh killall dino

Oh I see they finally added 1.6.4 to that list plowmanplow, When they originally changed the site over to the new one they didnt have the 1.6.4 version available. Glad to see its now there.

Please remember that if it thinks you're under a block, the sky will get darker. This was a feature introduced in 1.6 to make things more realistic for lighting (ie: if you're in the dark dark cave for hours on end, and go to the daylight, your eyes may hurt and have to adjust to the new lighting levels, and until then, everything is hard to make out, etc)

MCPC+ is indeed cauldron now, but the files are the one and the same, downloading cauldron 1.6.4 is the same as downloading the old mcpc+ - however, the location for 1.6.4 is a bit buried but it is located in the same place as the old mcpc+ is, just under the name "Cauldron164"

Take screen shots of your entire setup, to the minor details even (duct settings, etc) and post them here so we can view them and potentially see a particular issue that may not be apparent otherwise with word-based descriptions. A video may be also prove useful if you're able to record.

That error notice can be ignored. It is just an issue with WAILA not picking up the information as soon as you hover over the block, itll affect nothing in the end outside of a minor annoyance waiting for it to update with the actual information.

Just for other laptop users experiencing this threads issue: These settings are also available in the control panel on windows vista, and windows 7 laptops under the same name. Windows XP should have it in the same location as well, but unsure on this one.
