Re-read the post after Shuskei said something. They are correct. The server version was requested, not the launchers modpack version. However, looking at my multiple server setups for AotB, I see no bin folder for any of my server setups (dating back to 1.0.8 and up to 1.0.12a) and even running an advanced search using Agent Ransack turns up no indication that there is any version information anywhere in any of these files for any of these servers.

But the end is neigh! The inevitable doom that is known as Microsoft has taken control of our beloved game that would never change in a million years! Eons would have passed right before our very eyes before Minecraft moved to such an evil power. How could we as the community permit such a horrendous act to be committed and in front of our eyes! Why, dear Lord, didn't we stop this before it even started! Why must we be under such control. Why I say! Why!

The MFR Unifier (this pack does have MFR right?) may be able to convert it into regular stone as well.

Need help with quarry and Aplied energistics
Kalbintion replied to Gotxi's topic in Tekkit Discussion
If i had to guess, your setup was inefficient then. A line of the dynamos can work, but in my testing of this it tends to fail the further you go down the chain, and it also depends on where the introduction of the items start. I can get a line of dynamos of up to 8 running in a row with basic ducts but it takes a while for them all to "boot up" - just need to ensure enough product is getting created to keep up with the demand is all. Also, instead of sending stacks of items with the ducts, sending 8 at a time can help alleviate the issue as it wont try to send 64 to a single machine, though this also has the downside of a longer boot up sequence if it was permitted to stop generating power. -
True Curunir, but those types of bugs causes a bug to arise elsewhere. Plus those types of fix/bug relationships are much less common and often only result in a major update to java (ie: Java 7 to Java 8....major revision change, therefore chances are more probable) - this is true about anything that relies on a library outside of itself.

Mod looting system being incorrect. Potentially a typo on id (ie: it meant to be 13, but ended up 1:3), or its pulling from a random list and for some reason sees that a non-zero metadata value is legitimate.

Without adding mods? Not without the use of plugins (which i guess is a mod) - granted you just do /gamerule mobGriefing false (maybe its doMobGriefing or allowMobGriefing....ehhh use /gamerule to see which one it is if it isnt mobGriefing) and this would disable blocks being destroyed (most of the time - a few bugs with mod blocks) when creepers blow up, it also disables endermen from taking blocks. Edit: Wiki'ed mobGriefing - Whether creepers, endermen, ghasts, withers, rabbits, sheep and villagers should be able to change blocks and whether zombies, skeletons, and zombie pigmen can pick up items

Need help with quarry and Aplied energistics
Kalbintion replied to Gotxi's topic in Tekkit Discussion
Only for larger number of dynamos, I found it can supply around 30 dynamos with little issues using the normal ducts, and the impulse ones can do about 45. Anything higher and its a hit or miss if it works properly. Round-robin'ing the pipes can help though. -
Thats more or less how bugs seem to work Sturlie, fix one bug and there may be another that popped up into its place because of the fix. Regardless, with the Microsoft deal having gone through now, little is known on their stance on the modding world. The modders will continue to do what they do until told otherwise and I do not foresee it stopping anytime soon. However for a 1.8 update to occur, Forge has to update (which only barely started to work a few days ago) and then the mods have to update to the new forge. And with forge probably having to update quite a bit for 1.8 still, it may take a few months at minimum before modders would feel safe to use forge to mod with.

What is "Bukkicie" - does it load mods? If it is anything based off of Bukkit, the answer would most likely be a no. And under this assumption, no mods loading = no idea what the items are on the server side since the mods actually never loaded.
-
With the description "Share your server secrets with other server owners, or aspiring newbies" I dont even consider that to be a help section. And I hope you realize bukkit will not work with modpacks right? Bukkit loads plugins only, not mods. Cauldron (formerly MCPC+) offered mods and plugins to be loaded together but they have since been taken down due to a DMCA notice. Bukkit was also taken down due to DMCA reasons.

You could just edit your main post with the updated information and re-use this thread. But still, without knowing what your issue is no one can help.
-
No long-term fix (outside of maybe a chunk loader system, but even then - iffy itll work perfectly) - the issue is due to the MFR machines for some reason freezing up when another dimension (ie: Nether) is loaded. I havent heard of TE machines freezing though for this reason.
-
This issue still belongs on the tracker, where I will promptly tell you what it is (_JAVA_OPTIONS) and how to fix it, or someone else will. However, I've answered this question multiple times recently on the tracker. Shouldn't be too hard to find one where I reference what I mentioned in parenthesis a moment ago.

Let's test the next Hexxit! v2.0.1 beta is live!
Kalbintion replied to Skuli's topic in Hexxit Discussion
I don't think you understand, even though you found out what the issue was, technical help belongs on the tracker. As per Munaus' post. -
Add mods to a modpack? Custom modpack is your game! In that event, Platform Pagoda is where you want to take the issues/questions to. Edit: stupid typo
-
Which is the most ass-backwards way to get the version. It works, but definitely not the best and quickest way to get to it. See Stratus' post about it. Cog ftw.
-
@ThePagan - I hope you realize until the deal has been completely finished off and they know what they want to do, the devs of Minecraft will still be the employees of Mojang. Microsoft probably wont touch the core group of devs unless one of them wants to leave or be moved elsewhere. The "worst" case scenario is that they will bring in additional devs to help Minecrafts development along.

Modpack API URL? (Hi again)
-
Don't forget to change that 0 to a 1 for it to be a direct link if you intend on using it for the modpack url.

Missing ID's When Connecting To Server
Kalbintion replied to Doughnut747's topic in Attack of the B-Team
minijosh this is a fairly old thread. Who knows if the OP is even still around. -
That first link offered by Bisoros isn't direct either. If it does anything but instantly download the file or ask to save the file when the page is visited, it isn't a direct link.

Most common issues and fixes! And known problems
Kalbintion replied to arriej's topic in Attack of the B-Team
@Munaus (or any other staff/mod) - Would it be possible to perhaps clean up this thread of these types of "halp" posts (via deleting)? It just clutters up the thread as we all know and "love" and perhaps if they cannot find anyone posting here for help, it may help deter them. Hopefully (not very hopeful on this, but im tryin anyway) -
Issues belong on the tracker, though those logs have a common issue that is in the common issues and solutions pinned thread. (look for the StructureStart one)
