Fusemc - it's the combination of the galacticraft wires with the TE power transmission that does this. This can corrupt the chunk its in from time to time (I haven't seen it destroy a world yet, but it often breaks the block its in and occasionally takes the whole chunk with it due to the impossible numbers its trying to store). Avoid putting GC wires near TE output more than once (it'll output the full amount to each exit point rather than splitting it which is where this exponential power comes from). You don't need any sort of generator for this - a properly formed (malformed) loop will do so long as there's some power there to begin with; The power goes out the sides there into the conduits and balances - both the top and bottom wires take power out equally. One is bled off to the top (our power "generation") and the other feeds into the bottom to refill the source. You can double the "efficiency" of this by having another set out the front and back of the source the same way I did here with the sides. I think it's a bit rude you didn't link the original guy who came up with this as they clearly spent a while miniaturizing it and you've copied them - please edit your post to include the link to the conversation you got the idea from if you still have it (I'd like to go through it again and I can't find it).

You need a few things to do the conversion, assuming you've got some system set up where you've got berries coming down a pipe already; Berries go into an autonomous activator set to right-click, this will drop xp orbs on the floor. Under the activator is a sewer with a bronze upgrade (or higher). A fluiduct comes out the bottom of the sewer, it goes to the tanks where you'd like to store essence and sewage (it seems to make a small amount of sewage no matter what). Upgrade the pipes into the two tanks with pneumatic servos. Get a bucket of mob essence manually and use it to set one tank's pipe input to whitelisted mob essence and the other one to blacklisted mob essence. (this will mean mob essence will be the only thing that goes in one tank and it will not ever go into the other tank - but sewage will). That's it!

Sometimes I've had it work properly when it's a level lower than I'd usually put it (the same level as the floor, rather than the lowest wall level), so that's worth a try if you've done this other stuff.

You need the download for version 1.6.4 and you need to download PlayerAPI - just follow the instructions on that page knowing that and it should be fine.

Don't use the stained trees in the planters just yet, they're twitchy when used in MFR machines and cause crashes for some people. If you're not in a huge rush then remember that you can dye sheep directly and they'll grow back the coloured wool, so if you set up a bunch of small coloured sheep farms which shear automatically you can get a lot of dyes that way as an alternative.

Yep, there's a button at the top of the page and another link in my sig along with links to the guidelines of how to post this kind of thing. If you've got any client crash reports then please put them up there too.

The cat familiar should be all you need to do (or any familiar). You should try dismissing it and recalling it and see if that makes a difference.

I may have been helpful, but I thought it was obvious that it's more important to me to make the OP think about the way they've acted here than being helpful to them - I wasn't exactly nice to them about it and I actually seem to be being a bit of a dick (looking back at it I'm being pretty bitchy here while being careful not to cross the line into being mean). Honestly, I would've ignored this post but Melfice's response made me laugh - I felt like the thread had 'earned' a response because of that, that's all. OP is wandering around hijacking threads with "Me too! Same problem!" now so it's even more clear that they weren't worth the time - the problem and the solution were pretty clearly laid out in this post, so they go on my list of "usernames to not bother helping in future" and that's that, I tried. I'm not sure if OP even ended up ever coming back and reading this topic

Yes there is.

Mostly Portaspawners and void brambles (to mess with rival witches!), I'm ok for beacons now (they're not very special in this modpack anyway) so next in the one off stuff is probably the ancient staff, the player interface (once I bother to get a proper sorting system set up) and the statue of the goddess. If you can easily spawn and kill the toughest mob in the game largely at will already, at what point would you consider yourself to be post-endgame?

I don't usually bother with the nether star addon, I use them for other stuff. Eventually I might, but I certainly don't think it's in any way worth its cost unless you're farming nether stars (if you're farming the end-game boss, that's not end-game, that's gotta be post end-game!). I wouldn't consider 25ish mining speed vs 30ish to be especially lacking, either, but each to their own. You should add an example if you have another opinion though - that's what this thread seems to be for after all. The Exo-Armour is still a bug so I didn't count it - if you look in your config file you'll see that it still shouldn't be craftable by default. What it'll be like later on once it's supposed to be available by default remains to be seen. Some people do find tinkers difficult, and just because you don't doesn't mean it's not for some people. Some people struggle with minecraft combat, so they'll often find manyullyn difficult to get. Some people for example find writing posts that don't just sound like bragging difficult.

I haven't done it, but the people I know who have done this kind of thing used the Random Things Player Interface. http://randomthingsminecraftmod.wikispaces.com/Player+Interface Hope that helps, though it doesn't do exactly what you want (you need to set things up in advance) it does transmit items to you wirelessly.

Please post this up on the tracker so it can get properly looked at along with what you were doing when it happened (had you removed a mod or something?).

That's really interesting - glad you got it sorted out and thanks for letting us know!

I use them to make thin walls on buildings I want to make small quite a lot. The panels allow you to either walk around the outside of a walled in building or have a ring in the inside you can walk around (because you can walk in the same square as them). Sometimes I use them to make desks and shelves.

Help Attack of the B-Team wont load
Loader replied to thesimsnappleguy's topic in Attack of the B-Team
This is your problem; [B#434] 2014-03-24 18:09:22 [INFO] [ForgeModLoader] Java is Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM, version 1.6.0_65, running on Mac OS X:x86_64:10.9.2, installed at /System/Library/Java/JavaVirtualMachines/1.6.0.jdk/Contents/Home Apple's provided version of Java 1.7 (which you need to run b team) doesn't run automatically in anything except safari - if you go to oracle's site and grab the JDK then it should fix it (the JRE will have the same issue of not updating those symlinks). For future reference, tech support and bug reports should be put up here instead; http://forums.technicpack.net/tracker/project-4-attack-of-the-b-team/ Welcome to the forums! -
It depends on your system - low amounts of RAM or slow hard-drives can cause this. My system loads in in about 10 seconds (but is fairly powerful and has an SSD for B-Team), my partners system is old, has a dodgy HDD and still only takes about a minute to load in, so something is probably wrong.

I try to find cactus quickly early on as it's useful for a lot of tools - I'll list my preferences in order. Early game: Weapons (damage is important, durability is important, enchantability not important) Blade = Cactus > Flint Crossbar = Bone > Flint > Cactus Rod = Bone > Cactus > Wood Tools (speed important, repair material important, eurability important, enchantability not important) Head = Cactus > Stone Binding = Stone (if not used above for stonebound trait) > Bone > Flint > Cactus Rod = Bone > Cactus > Wood The goal of this stage of the game is to find iron and if possible, blue slime from underneath slime islands (if you can get up on top then that's even better). You'll need sand, clay and gravel for the next step, but you can choose if you want to make that step; The Tool Forge: Earlier access to the excavator, lumber axe and hammer for mining resources quickly, but you lose out on some efficiency by not having the smeltery up first. With B-Teams resources if you're not planning on going to the nether soon or haven't got any access to lava yet then this is a pretty good choice. The Smeltery: This will allow you to switch to making metal tools and increase the output of smelted ores by double. You'll need to do both before moving on, so the only choice is which way around you'd like to do it (if you go smeltery first then you're probably not going to upgrade to second-tier tools until you make metal ones). I find it worth it to start making moss stone at this point to put a moss ball on each of my tools (you need cobblestone and a bucket of water to do this). The mid game has a lot of its options removed (alumite, bronze) by easy access to steel in the B-Team. It's by far the best choice of its tier for most of these things, so unless you feel like it's a bit cheaty you should use it. Cook iron ingots in an ordinary furnace to make steel ingots which you'll melt down in the smeltery. Mid-Game Weapons (damage is important, enchantability is important, durability is important) Blade = Steel > Alumite Crossbar = Paper (if you feel you'll be likely to stay with this tool for a while) > Blue Slime > Steel > Green Slime > Alumite > Bronze > Iron Rod = Blue Slime > Green Slime > Steel > Alumite > Bronze > Iron Enchantment = 1x Moss Ball, Nether Quartz to max if struggling in nether Tools (speed important, enchantability important, durability important, repair material not important) Head = Steel > Alumite > Bronze > Iron (Bronze or Iron are debatable, probably not worth the upgrade effort unless you're never intending to visit the nether in which case put a diamond on it) Binding = Paper (if you feel you'll be likely to stay with this tool for a while) > Blue Slime > Steel > Green Slime > Alumite > Bronze > Iron Rod = Blue Slime > Green Slime > Steel > Alumite > Bronze > Iron Enchantment = 1x Moss Ball, Redstone to max The Mid-game introduces hammers, excavators and lumber axes if you haven't seen them yet. Generally you'll want to make a tool that needs plates with the same material you use for the head unless you're trying to save resources. If you haven't started making moss-balls to auto-repair your tools, now is the time to do that. The goal of this stage is to have the tools you need to mine cobalt and ardite in the nether, and weapons capable of fighting off the nasties you'll find there. The end-game focuses on the nether and two materials you'll make from what you find there, cobalt (for tools) and manyullyn (an alloy of cobalt and ardite for weapons). End-Game Weapons (enchantability is important, damage is important, durability is important) Blade = Manyullyn Crossbar = Paper Rod = Manyullyn > Blue Slime Enchantment = 1x Moss Ball, Nether Quartz to max if struggling in nether, Diamond + Gold block to allow more nether quartz. Tools (speed is important, enchantability is important, durability is important) Head = Cobalt (faster than manyullyn but won't mine manyullyn blocks, not an issue... unless you accidentally place one down) > Manyullyn Binding = Paper Rod = Manyullyn > Blue Slime Enchantment = 1x Moss Ball, Redstone to max, Diamond + Gold block to allow more redstone. There are a few exceptions to this (I like to make a cleaver that does just over 20 damage and add looting for the rest of the enchantments for example) but this covers most things except bows. That should have you sorted for most tools. Bows are a strange one - the bow damage value is irrelevant (it applies to you physically whacking things with the bow rather than using arrows), you only care about its draw speed, arrow speed and durability. Bows Rod = Blue Slime/Green Slime > Wood/Cactus String = Fiery Bowstring > Bowstring Enchantment = 1x Moss Ball, Redstone to max, Diamond + Gold block to allow more redstone (to max draw speed). Metals on bows allow a good arrow speed (on par with slime) but a very slow draw speed (twice as long as slime), even manyullyn isn't worth using for a bow. Arrows (Best Damage) Arrowhead = Manyullyn Rod = Paper Fletching = Feather Fletching Enchantment = Make a full stack of arrows first, then max nether quartz and Diamond + Gold Block to allow more. Arrows (Fast w/no enchantment) Arrowhead = Cactus Rod = Blue Slime/Green Slime Fletching = Feather Fletching Arrows (Cheap but fast - Loader's favorite) Arrowhead = Cactus Rod = Paper Fletching = Feather Fletching > Leaf Fletching (easy to farm the components and so cheap you've got no fear of losing them, very fast arrow makes easier aiming with little drop - still very enchantable for PvP in an emergency and you're familiar with the arrow drop because you probably regularly use them)

Nono, that's cool, I guess I could've used those few hours of practice with reverse engineering. Seriously, thanks for that

The common problems thread kind of does that, but it's swamped with other issues (like people not updating java over and over again). That fixes it for food+ for the moment, but if someone manages to put some other weird thing in there it could still be an issue. I pretty much have an oven so I can have a kitchen, not so I can use it Dunno about other players on my server but I haven't really had any problems since Halestorm suggested that.

Yeah, sorry it's not better news If you wanted you could try disabling the gravestones in its config, for future use of that rite, but it won't help for this occasion. It's not 100% either though, and it's easy to screw it up even without bugs (you respawn from a nether lava death in the overworld and immediately get creepered at spawn - the creeper death is what you'll restore now with that rite).

If you've done that then it should give you a new log, there may be something else wrong now or it may not have worked properly - either way, can you post that log up on the tracker please so I can give it a proper look? Win7 is not a problem, it's entirely capable of running Java 1.7 (even Windows XP is fine, but I wouldn't go much further back than that). Win8 is not significantly different in the way it uses Java.
-
Ok, remove all the java versions (even the latest), then reboot your computer. Once you're back up, go to the java website and get the latest (64 and 32 bit) versions manually and install them (get 'offline versions' here, they're more reliable; https://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp ) Then try the launcher again - if it still doesn't work, please post a crashlog or launcher log up on the tracker (links to help with that are in my sig). Edit: reworded for clarity

Attack of the B-Team forums are a mess
Loader replied to BoredSausage's topic in Attack of the B-Team
They did. I don't think there's supposed to be problem/solution threads in here (that's for the tracker now) and they're slowly cracking down on it.
