It's probably Java, check here that you have version 1.7 installed and earlier versions removed; http://www.java.com/en/download/installed.jsp If you're already up to date though, please post a launcher log on the tracker (links are in my sig).

It's still running on java 6 somehow; Java is Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM, version 1.6.0_17, running on Windows 7:amd64:6.1, installed at C:Program FilesJavajre6 I don't know what else to suggest except to go through the installed versions of java again and make sure they're gone - it's either still there or you've given an old log by accident. Did you use this site to check the version, or something else?

STMMUF - the cog on the left under the b-team menu icon has those options. Beware that the versions beyond recommended aren't recommended! You could have anything happen to break your world, so as long as you're cool with that, knock yourself out! Fandore - those turbines need steam now, not just water (which you can't make in this pack, so you need to switch back to the steam dynamo, or solar panels if you want free power).

Please post up a crashlog on the tracker and someone will take a look at it (links are in my sig).

I like the blaze - it's fireproof, the same size as a person and it can wear hats! It's a hostile mob too, so depending on the server settings other mobs might ignore you. Just... it's easy to forget not to jump into water, and getting caught in the rain hurts!

I don't speak for the mods or know why they did this, but it's likely it's just that this is the wrong place for it - there's a forum for that specifically here; http://forums.technicpack.net/forum/75-attack-of-the-b-team-servers/

More is needed most likely, depending on the computer and texture pack people seem to be happiest with anywhere from 1.5GB to 3GB. 1GB is very variable, some machines will crash occasionally, others regularly, but pretty much all will crash on 1GB eventually.

Unfortunately yes, if you haven't set a spawn on the moon and built a moonbase where you can kit up with backup items after dying it's essentially game-over if you're stuck in a death loop trying to run from the default spawnpoint. If you're in multiplayer, someone could run out to you with gear, but that's about it (other than cheating).

java can not recognize my B-team Server. help please!
Loader replied to Theredwave's topic in Attack of the B-Team
One of your energy tesseracts has corrupted somehow, a client log might identify exactly which one, from that log I can't tell you where it is, only that. You'll need to use a program like MCEdit to remove the tesseracts you have one at a time if you can't find it exactly. This can be caused if you get a galacticraft wire too close to a TE machine or conduit, it can throw out impossible amounts of energy and cause any energy using device to corrupt this way, so check to make sure you've got no loops by accident (some people do this deliberately to generate infinite free power, if that's the case then you'll just have to put up with this happening from time to time if you want to continue using the bug). In future, please post things like this on the tracker, it's easier to find them. -
What crops are you using specifically? Cactus can behave like this and needs an open space on its sides (diagonally is OK).
-
Mericraft, if you've updated java to version 1.7 then please post up a launcher log on the tracker (links are in my sig).
-
Ok, then you've got some other problem - please get a launcher log and post it up on the tracker so people can take a proper look at fixing it for you.

Madhatterack, over 90% of people with this issue don't have java up to date (or they do and they're using the wrong version for some reason). There's no common problem that's stopping people launching the game except that at the moment. If you're certain it's all up to date then please post up your log on the tracker (links for how to do that are in my sig). KingTNTdcraft, this is a completely unhelpful post - you've put it at the end of a thread with a peculiar problem that I'm pretty sure you don't have (this issue should've been fixed in 1.0.9c and was only present in earlier versions), and you haven't given any information other than you're having some kind of problem. If you're saying you've got a similar problem to madhatterack then please do the same thing I asked of them.

ACJYoutube, read the post right above yours (it's the same problem though a different error message). yesus, Eclaire, CobraGaming and JackHenry, Update your Java version to 1.7. LosOh, please post your crashlog (or launcher log if you don't have one) on the tracker, links to help you are in my sig.

I'm trying to figure out if the tinkers direction/facing information is available to standard minecraft instructions, typically the info on facing is at the fourth byte or eighth byte (0x3 or 0x7) but neither of those are the case with tinkers. Digging into it a bit shows some kind of struct with a Direction variable, so it looks like the block itself stores that information on facing rather than using the same method minecraft usually does. I was wondering if anyone had had any luck addressing that before - if it's accessible through the normal means it'll mean I can make the tinkers smeltery and drawbridges work properly on archimedes ships and greatly improve my mobile flagship base. I know this is a longshot and I'm not sure if it's better served on the tracker - it's not really a bug so I guess here's the place - if a mod thinks this isn't the right place for this (or can think of a better place other than the tinkers forums) please let me know.
-
Bear, this may never be fixed, and the guys here can't fix it. You'll need to talk to the mod author for the mod that doesn't work with Java 6 (I think it's just project|red at the moment, but I could be wrong, there were several of them at the start of 1.0.9). Be aware that you'd be asking them to modify their mod to work with a version of Java that was largely discontinued nearly 3 years ago - just because it's remained largely in use doesn't mean it always will continue to be.

Huge Tickrate and Packet Size Issues On Server
Loader replied to DragonRuins's topic in Attack of the B-Team
I know it's off topic, but why? That seems like exactly what it would do unless I'm missing something. I'm glad you found it - Microblocks near power have been known to cause problems before for some people but I thought it was fixed, did you have any advanced genetics machines, conduits or aluminium wire touching them, out of curiosity? -
Eight211, quit out and close the launcher, reopen it and try again (something has gone wrong connecting to the minecraft servers at minecraft.net, re-opening the launcher causes it to try again). Sometimes it can take a couple of goes, if it doesn't fix it let us know here
-
Wpersonw1, you've got an issue which usually is out of date graphics drivers screwing up something with openGL, so try that first. The second thing it could be (and doubly so given where it is happening in your log) is a bug in necromancy, try disabling or removing that mod, playing again (it should load), quitting and putting necromancy back. You will lose all your minions, altars and other necromancy items, but you'll be able to play. tents and coollukester, update Java to version 1.7. Lukester, on a mac you'll need to get the JDK version, not the JRE.

Huge Tickrate and Packet Size Issues On Server
Loader replied to DragonRuins's topic in Attack of the B-Team
1GB for the server is way too low for that many players, once you start to run out and it starts swapping like crazy (to keep all players seeing every chunk they should) you'll get this happening. Raise the -Xmx setting to 3 or 4GB. Edit: it could still be something else, but start with checking that. -
Back it up first though because it changes things and if it goes wrong, that's it (nothing else you can do to fix it if you've overwritten the core files and it's still not working and you don't have the originals).
-
Post up the log on the tracker, Pikopa? That's really weird. I'm more familiar with the issues with 1.0.9c so if you use that one it'll be easier to help you. Puffhamster, you sorta can with Exo armour already, put a crafting table next to a tool station/forge and you'll be able to add various upgrades to the exo armour in it.
-
It'd be a lot of work, if it's even possible. If you feel like rewriting carpenters blocks or archimedes ships then contact the authors. In all likelyhood, this will never work properly, it might be possible to make it break the carpenters block insides every time it moves though if it gets fixed at all it's likely it'll just delete those blocks before compiling the ship (like with microblocks).
-
Pikopa, that's Java - you need to update to version 1.7 here; https://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp It's not something the guys here can fix, if you can't update to 1.7 for some reason you can try bothering the Project|Red guys about supporting java 1.6, but it's probably a losing battle because as time goes on more mods are likely to drop support for 1.6.

You need to widen any bottlenecks, it depends where it's being limited and that's a hard thing to do (impossible without more info). Go grab a bit of system information software if you're not sure (something like this; http://www.fosshub.com/download/hw32_436.zip ) and post up a summary of your system (or a log from that program, preferably in txt/log format).
